Moses Itauma (12-0, 10 KO) crushed the game, but restricted Mike Balogun (21-2, 16 KO), rejecting it in the second round of the 10-round weight weight on Saturday evening at SEZ Hydro, Glasgow, Scotland.
Balogun surprisingly fought aggressively, spending the perspective of the 254-pound Itauma during a tiny twentieth fight. This excessively aggressive approach caused the Balogun to be dropped in the first round with the left hand of the cuff.
Balogue bold aggression
At the beginning of the second round, Balogun came out of the gate, Bum threw itauma and immediately dropped with a perfectly placed right hook to his head. Ituma landed at the bottom, showing speed and precise placement. Balogun collapsed as if he were shot by a ball. He stopped for counting nine, then rose to his feet and looked unverified.
Despite the fact that he was dropped twice, Balogun did not prove to be fear and attacked Itauma, as if he had him where he wanted. The appearance of Ituma was concerned because he knew that this guy was determined to win, and had more than sufficient power to cause nervousness if he was allowed to spin.
Balogun accused Itauma, wanting to catch him with a massive shot, but he entered the next right hook, which dropped him flat on his back to get a third knocking. This time the judge, John Latham, stopped the fight. Balogun looked surprised when he got up, but Latham saw enough. The time of detention was at 0:46 in the second round.

Alex Arthur Jr. vs. Robbie Chapman

Along with the advanced age of Taylor, there is no other way but start to immediately take the most hazardous rivals and often fight if he is to shoot the title of the world. He cannot afford to stick to his schedule once a year, and he will get elderly if he continues to fight a welterweight, such as Essuman.
For Essuman, 36 years elderly, this is a great opportunity to put in a welterweight landscape to commit a great fight before the end of his career. This can open the door to fight other pretenders if he manages to defeat Taylor. Ekow will not get the title shot with the victory over Taylin, but he could fight pretenders such as Karen Chukhadzhian or Lewis Crocker.
Taylor’s path forward
“It’s a hazardous fight. Ekow is not the most hazardous guy in the world, but he can fight, and he is really functional, challenging and stubborn,” said commentator Carl Frampton Boxing DAZNTalking about what Josh Taylor has tonight with Ekow Essuman.
“For the first time, dipping your fingers at the foot in welterweight, you could probably apologize to Josh to get an easier fight.”
