Anthony Joshua’s former foe ACCEPTS Tyson Fury’s call-up
Tyson Fury is apparently eyeing a fight with former foe Anthony Joshua.
Fury is due to return in April after coming out of retirement earlier this month and was hoping to secure a long-awaited clash with Joshua.
However, after Joshua was involved in a fatal car crash that claimed the lives of two of his close friends and team members, the Watford player’s future plans remain unknown.
Fury will want to make up for losses after consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk when he returns to the ring and is strongly linked with a fight with Arslanbek Makhmudov, who defeated Dave Allen in October.
Fury’s manager Spencer Brown confirmed this to professional boxing fans The Russian heavyweight is on the shortlist to fight the ‘Gypsy King’.
However, the 37-year-old is apparently interested in a fight with former unified world heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr.
Ruiz Jr famously stunned Joshua on his US debut in 2019, knocking him out in the seventh round to win the heavyweight championship before losing the belts six months later in an immediate rematch.
Fury, who is training before returning to Thailand, posted a photo of himself facing Ruiz on his Instagram and tagged the American in the post.

Ruiz, who hasn’t fought since drawing with Jarrell Miller in August 2024, answered the call: “Let’s go.”
Former cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew believes the 36-year-old would be the perfect opponent for the Morecambe man.
“The other day I saw a list of Tyson Fury’s potential opponents,” Bellew said Combat lenses.
“They said Agit Kabayel.
“They said Fabio Wardley.
“Andy Ruiz would be a good opponent to come back with.
“[WBA ‘regular’ champion, Murat] Gassiew was mentioned there.
“There were about five of them.”
Fury retired last January after losing a unanimous decision to Usyk in their rematch, seven months after losing a majority decision to the Ukrainian in their undisputed championship fight.

Jaron Ennis is the bookmakers’ main favorite to defeat Xander Zayas in their highly anticipated world title clash on Saturday in Brooklyn.
Ennis challenges Zayas for the WBO and WBA super welterweight belts at the Barclays Center live on DAZN pay-per-view.

On Wednesday, Lewis Crocker heads to Australia to defend his IBF welterweight world title against Liam Paro for the first time.
Crocker will face Paro at the Pat Rafter Arena in Queensland, live on DAZN in the UK and Kayo Sports in Australia.
Crocker (22-0, 11 KO) became world champion in September, defeating Paddy Donovan twice before winning the rematch by split decision.
Man from Belfast recorded his second victory over Donovan after the first victory in March last year, and his rival was disqualified for hitting him after the bell.
Paro (27-1, 16 KO) is trying to become a world champion in two weight categories, having previously reigned in the super-lightweight division.
The 30-year-old won the title with a unanimous decision victory over Subriel Matias in Puerto Rico before winning the belt in his first defense against Richardson Hitchins.
The Australian has since won twice, overtaking David Papot in his last appearance in September.
