Agit Kabayel’s goal is to fight the undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in his native Germany.
Usyk will likely be ordered to fight Kabayel in the near future, and the German will hold the interim WBC heavyweight title.
Kabayel first defends his crown against undefeated Pole Damian Knyba on January 10 at the Rudolf Weber-Arena in Oberhausen, but the 33-year-old believes a clash with Usyk could fill the 54,000-seat Merkur Spiel-Arena in Dusseldorf.
“Next time we can go to the stadium,” he said Box Nation.
“Why not? With a massive name.”

“In Dusseldorf.
“It’s a massive, massive stadium for the fans.
“We have so many people in Germany who love boxing and Kabayel is bringing the boxing arena back to Germany.
“Why not [have a fight with Usyk].

“I have so much support in Germany and Germany, and we also have so many Ukrainians, that it is straightforward to fill the stadium with this fight.
“My last performance was very good.
“When Usyk agrees, I’m ready.”

Knyba is undefeated in 17 professional fights, stopping Joey Dawejko in his last fight in October, and Kabayel admits he is concerned about the threat the 29-year-old poses.
“He is teenage, he has potential,” he added.
“I was in this situation too.
“I was teenage.
“He has never lost in his career, but I think it is a very good motivation for me.
“This guy hasn’t lost in his career. I haven’t lost in my career either.
“He’s statuesque. He’s massive and I think it’s a very good fight for the fans.”

As for Usyk, he will first have to face his mandatory WBO title shot in Fabio Wardley, who secured his opportunity with a stunning victory over Joseph Parker last month.
Usyk, 38, confirmed last month that he will fight until he is 41, and Wardley’s promoter Frank Warren expects the WBO to order the fight immediately.
