Abraham Nova enters Raymond Ford on August 16 in Riyadh
Published

Abraham “Super” Nova will face the challenge to Super Feather, weighing Ford as a deputy opponent on August 16 in Riyadh. Both of them will fight Moses Itauma vs. Dillian Whyte Undercard. The event will be shown on Dazn.
Abraham Nova: A replacement opponent
Always a challenging veteran Nova (24-3-1, 17 KO) replaces Anthony Cacace as an opponent of Ford after an Irish warrior suffered an injury and had to withdraw.
Mike Coppinger I gave the message Abraham Nova enters as deputy opponent of Raymond Ford to fight.
31 -year -old Nova has lost two of the last four fights O’Shaquie Foster and Andres Cortes. However, both defeats were controversial, because Nova survived them and landed better shots. These losses showed how arduous it is for fighters on side B to nod while fighting Hyped Guys. If Nova can regain the form he showed against Foster and Cortes, she has a chance to defeat Ford.
Ford’s fight (17-1-1, 8 KO) in one month is a arduous question about Nova. This is to be 12-round. It is not clear whether it will be reduced to 10 now that the cocoa no longer fights.
The 26-year-old Ford won the last two fights since losing to Nick Ball with a 12-Runde decision last year. There was nothing controversial in this fight. Ball overtook Ford and dominated him with power and constant pressure forward. It was the first time in Ford’s career when he met a better blow than himself.
In Ford’s fight before he was a few seconds from losing to Otabek Kholmatov, when the judge suddenly stopped the fight, which gave him a dubious knockout of 12 rounds. It was a strange downtime that saved Ford from a loss. In the fight he took a lot of punishment than Kholmatova’s more arduous impact and was lucky to win.
What could give Ford consisted of jumping on the ring only three months later to take part in Nick Ball in June 2024. It was an ancient -school turn from a speedy ring. Usually, warriors do not fight so quickly after the war like Raymond was against Kholmatov.

Janibek Alimkhanuly Shifts Perspective on Hamzah Sheeraz: A New Dynamic in Boxing
Published
13 hours agoon
September 26, 2026
Janibek Alimkhanuly spent months trying to get Hamzah Sheeraz into the ring. Now that Sheeraz has vacated his WBO super middleweight title, Janibek is asking fans to stop saying the former champion ran from him. That is generous. It also leaves Janibek with less to say about a fight he wanted badly.
He’s not afraid of me. He didn’t run from me. He made his decision based on his own plans. He has his own goals! He’s my brother, and I ask everyone to stop saying he ran from me. He’s a great fighter, and I have nothing but respect for him! @sheeraz_hamzah 🫂 pic.twitter.com/uxZlegqSmH
— Janibek Alimkhanuly (@qazaqstyle) September 26, 2026
Janibek’s tone has changed since the purse bid. He was eager to fight, said money was not his priority, and publicly pushed Sheeraz to accept. Queensberry then bid $1,001,809 to stage the ordered defense, beating Top Rank’s $820,000 offer. Sheeraz’s 75 percent share would have been roughly $751,000. Days later, he gave up the belt.
That sequence deserves a closer look. Queensberry put a serious number on the fight, so the bid itself cannot be dismissed as proof that nobody valued it. But winning the right to promote a title defense means little to fans when the champion vacates before it happens.
Sheeraz has objected to Janibek receiving a mandatory shot after his failed drug test. He is entitled to explain that position. Fans are equally entitled to ask why the issue reached a purse bid before he surrendered the title. Janibek’s post supplies no answer.
Perhaps Janibek sees no benefit in branding Sheeraz a coward. Doing so would also make the opponent he chased sound less valuable. Calling Sheeraz a great fighter preserves the idea that this was an important contest, even after the belt and the fight slipped away.
The respect between them may be sincere. Janibek still gets no Sheeraz fight, and Sheeraz no longer has to defend his title against Janibek. A friendly photo does not change either result.
