Temirov put his Australian counterpart to sleep with a crushing
right hand in the co-main event of UFC Abu Dhabi, extending his UFC
record to 3-0 and earning a Performance of the Night bonus for his
efforts. Speaking after the victory, he explained why he feels he’s
different from the rest of the division, emphasizing how flyweights
rarely pull off one-shot knockouts as he did against Erceg.

“I haven't seen all the fighters just fighting like me. Just
striking punches, just making knockouts,†he said. “But my punches
will just kill them all.â€

The emphatic finish marked Temirov’s 11th first-round stoppage
victory and 13th overall, further solidifying his reputation as one
of the UFC’s most explosive flyweights. He has now won 12
consecutive fights.

“I haven’t seen other fighters fighting like
me.”

Damian
Rzepecki in his Octagon debut at
UFC Abu Dhabi, neutralizing his opponent’s grappling while
showcasing the polished striking that saw him earn a contract on

Dana White's Contender Series last year.

Following his victory over Rzepecki, Zaynukov shed light on the
preparation that went into his UFC debut.

“I thought they liked me only that much in America, but they also
like me in Abu Dhabi as well,†Zaynukov said in a post-fight
interview. “And I really wanted to show a good performance. I know
a lot of people were counting on me, a lot of people were waiting
for me to debut. I worked really, really hard. I had a crazy hard
camp. I had really good sparring. Good sparring partners. So, it
was really important for me to show a good performance.â€

Zaynukov also said in the interview that he could have found a
finish, but he wanted to fight for three rounds and showcase his
diverse striking arsenal. With the victory, “Wild Chanco†extended
his unbeaten professional record to 9-0, establishing himself as a
promising lightweight contender.

“I’m ready to fight anybody.”

Xavier: When I watched the fight this time, I'm not gonna lie, [Stiller] could have won at the same time. I don't know. That was so hard to score because the third round, obviously Delphine really separated in the third round, but those first two rounds with the takedowns—MMA, people have got to understand, it's not boxing. Boxing looks clean. It's clean and effective. MMA is just efficiency, it's just about being efficient. There's a lot of people, their striking looks like shit, but they're efficient. Look at Dricus [du Plessis], his striking is not the best, but he's super efficient at what he does, and he fights really good that way, and he throws people off with that awkward timing and stuff. I feel like that's kind of what Mackenzie has. She's not a striker, she's a judo wrestler, you know, jitz background.

So when I'm watching it, people are looking at Delphine looked cleaner, but I'm like, she looked cleaner, but she's getting hit. Mackenzie looks nasty and she's landing, so it depends what you're looking for, I guess. The fight was really good. I feel like it could have went either way, it maybe could have went to Mackenzie, maybe they should have done a fourth round, I don't know. It was that close to me. I don't know. It was pretty good. When I saw both of them, their faces banged up, I'm like damn. I mean, this just looks like the fight was a draw. It was a good fight, though, super entertaining.
