Bangkok, Thailand — The world’s largest martial arts organization, ONE Championshipreturned to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium with another electrifying show at ONE Fight Night 40: Buntan vs. Hemetsberger II.

The stacked cards delivered high-stakes world title action, statements and historic milestones in front of a global audience.

Hemetsberger becomes Two-Sport ONE world champion

The main event will be the Austrian sensation Stella “Always Hungry” Hemetsberger She etched her name in the history books by retreating Jackie Buntana via split decision to win the ONE Women’s Strawweight Kickboxing World Championship.

The tactical battle took the form of a high-level chess match. Buntan pressed forward with edged boxing combinations, while Hemetsberger relied on distance control and punishing leg kicks to destabilize the Filipino-American striker’s base. In the third and fourth rounds, both women held their ground, exchanging ponderous shots in the center of the ring.

Heading into the fifth and final round, the fight was fierce. Buntan fired two kicks to the head and landed a edged straight right in an attempt to influence the judges. Hemetsberger responded with quick combinations and composed counterattacks to secure a split decision victory.

With the historic victory, “Always Hungry” is now the undisputed queen of the strawweight divisions in both Muay Thai and kickboxing, becoming a ONE dual-sport world champion.

Nico Carrillo wins interim gold in the Instant Classic

The co-main event provided another memorable battle as the Scottish knockout artist “King in the North” by Nico Carrillo won the ONE Featherweight Muay Thai interim world title in a hard-fought unanimous decision over Thailand Shadow of Singh Mawynn.

Both featherweights took a patient and calculated approach in the first round. The momentum changed in the second stanza as Shadow staggered Carrillo with a powerful left hook and then continued to apply pressure with a variety of attacks throughout the third round.

Carrillo showed his trademark durability in a dramatic fourth frame, knocking him down with a vigorous right hand before unleashing ponderous boxing combinations that left both fighters visibly tired heading into the final round.

Digging deep, Carrillo applied relentless pressure in race five to seal the decision and make history as Scotland’s first ONE World Champion.

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) returns to Minnesota for another key night of mixed martial arts action.

LFA president Ed Soares confirmed that the promotion will return to the “Land of 10,000 Lakes” Friday, April 17with stacked fight cards scheduled to take place at the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel.

upcoming event, LFA 231: Trembley vs. Johnspresented by Monster Energy, the main attraction of which will be a fierce featherweight fight between former LFA champion Elijah Johns (10-3) and undefeated prospect from Minnesota Taner Trembley (6-0).

Doors to the event will open at 16:30 local timewith a preliminary card starting at 16:45followed by the main card at 20:00 Fans in the United States can watch the action live on VICE TV at 21:00 ET / 18:00 PT.
