Huge month in boxing

We are in a dog in the summer and the boxing calendar warms up. Although a lot happened in boxing for the first seven months of the year, it is worth going back and considering what awaits boxing fans in the next thirty days.

This weekend there will be an intriguing riyadh card in Saudi Arabia. The main event takes place in bulky weight, and Moses Itauma (12-0, 10 KO) receives Veteran Dillian Whyte (31-3, 21 KO). According to Magazine Ring Magazine, this is a nice fight for iTama, the perspective of the year in 2024. Ituma, twenty -year -old Southpaw, will face Whyte. At the age of 37, Whyte was in the professional ranks of boxing since Itauma was six years ancient and he was the world champion before. There were some rumors about Ituma, in which Oleksandr Usyk finally faces. This seems premature, but if iTuama organizes a spectacular performance against Whyte, who knows.

On the same card, Nick Ball (22-0-1, 13 KO) will defend his WBA Feather championships in weight against Sam Goodman (20-0, 8 KO). Plus Raymond Ford (17-1-1, 8 KO) and Abraham Nova (24-3-1, 17 KO) will compete in the Super Feather in Libra Division. Nova is a substitute opponent of the IBO Super Feather WWWEIGHT Anthony Cacace (24-1, 9 KO), who withdrew due to a back injury during training.

The second weekend of September is shaped on a giant boxing weekend.

The premiere fight of autumn will take place on Saturday evening in Las Vegas, on September 13. The Stadium allegian, the seat of Las Vegas Raiders, will be the host of Canelo Alvarez (63-2-2, 39 KO) in defense of his unquestionable championships of super medium weight against Terenka Crawford (41-0, 31 KO) in the battle between the two best boxers of this era, broadcasting in the world.

This is a huge fight, but one that can prove the saying that for some reason there are weight classes. From July 2023, when Terence Crawford became the undisputed champion at 147 pounds through the fight of Errola Spence, Crawford fought once. This fight had 154 pounds against Israel Madrimow in August last year; Crawford won, but he didn’t look like his ordinary world self. During weighing, Crawford tilted the scales by 153.4 pounds for this fight.

Crawford will now move two classes to face Canelo Alvarez, who fought for the first time in this weight class in December 2018 against Rocky Fielding. The fight against Crawford will be the twelfth fight of Canelo for Canelo in the Super Middle Wweight, and at the same time returns to medium weight (against Daniel Jacobs) and fighting twice in a featherlight heavyweight (against Sergey Kovalev and Dmitry Bivol, the last time Canelo lost) at that time. Crawford is talented enough to compete with Canelo, but the talent is far from the only variable here.

Jermell Charlo (35-2-1, 19 KO) tried the same feat two years ago, in September 2023, Charlo was the undisputed master of the middle master and dared to be great, shifting two weight classes to take part in Canelo, an unquestioned champion in the weight class of fourteen pounds larger than his own. Canelo made the Charlo section, which twice lost the unanimous decision of the results 119–108 and 118-109. Since then, Jermell Charlo has not fought.

The only man who fought both Canelo and Crawford, Amir Khan, said about the monumental duel: “There are burdens for some reason in boxing. I have great respect for Crawford showing balls and fighting the beast like Canelo. Maybe Crawford sees something in Canelo, that others can’t see, and that she has gone through his sale.”

In accordance with the speculum of the fight with the criminal supporting clash of Canelo vs. Crawford is not brilliant. Callum Walsh (12-0, 4 Kos) vs. Fernando Vargas Jr. (17-0, 15 Kos), Christian Mbilli (29-0, 24 Kos) vs. Lester Martinez (19-0, 16 Kos) and Moammed Alakel (4-0, 0 KO) and John Ornelas (5-2-1, 2 Kos) are announced. Mbilli vs. Martinez has the potential to be Slugfest, with two undefeated super medium -medium wagons that have a percentage of over 80%. Considering the other two fights, this event, unfortunately, does not match the depth of high quality fights, which boxing fans saw on some other main battle cards in recent years. If Canelo vs. Crawford will turn out to be a classic fight, nothing will matter.

The action on the weekend is not narrow to the western hemisphere. Earlier on this day, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Lewis Crocker (21-0, 11 KO) and Paddy Donovan (14-1, 11 KO) will be directed to the Windsor Park in a rematch, which will also be the first fight for the title in the Irish world in history, questioned for IBF free championships. Their first fight in March ended when Donovan was disqualified after the eighth round for hitting the crocker after the bell. Although Donovan led all three results cards at the time of disqualification, he lost the point in the sixth round, and the second in the eighth round with low blows before DQ. Crocker hopes to prove that he had a free night in March, while Donovan is trying to rightly win the victory and the championship of welterweight.

On Sunday, September 14, the best pound-Funt boxer will perform in the eyes of many, Nayya Inoue (30-0, 27 KO), defending his undisputed junior championships, against Murodjon Akhmadaliev (14-1, 11 KO), a former uniform master in the 122 pounds division.

While 32 -year -old Inoue won eleven more fights through Nokaut, “Monster” was knocked down in two of his last four fights against Luis Neri and Ramon Cardenas. If Inoue defeats Akhmadaliev, Inoue has another fight pre-set on December 27 with the mandatory contender WBC Alan Picasso (32-0-1, 17 KO), which would be his fourth fight in the calendar year.

But from Uzbekistani, also known as MJ, should not be overlooked by Inoue or fans. He won his last three fights since the fractional defeat with Marion Tapales. Akhmadaliev is extremely talented and was in a sufficient number of great fights so as not to lame before the monster- at least theoretically. Many pretenders thought they were to take off Inoue, but it has not happened yet.

At Undercard Yoshiki Takei (11-0, 9 KO) will defend his WBO Bantamweight championship against Christian Medina (25-4, 18 KO). Takei, a former kickboxer world champion, will try to defend his championships for the third time in a row. Medina, born in the same city as Canelo Alvarez, Guadalajara, is a pretender No. 1 and has lost only once in the last six years.

The weather is burned, the regular NFL season is close, and the transfer window is still three weeks. So settling, enjoy a great boxing action, and there will be autumn before we realize.

"Terence Crawford Confirms Ryan Garcia Will Defeat Conor Benn: 'I Got Him' | Boxing News"

Next month, Ryan Garcia will go toe-to-toe with Conor Benn in the first defence of his WBC welterweight title, and now former pound-for-pound king Terence Crawford has doubled down on his prediction for the clash.

Crawford hung up the gloves whilst recognised as the pound-for-pound number one in December, but that has not stopped ‘Bud’ from developing a heated rivalry with Garcia since his retirement, with the pair making regular jibes at one another in recent months.

Garcia has now revealed his intentions to tempt the undefeated southpaw out of retirement if he retains his title against Benn, but the Omaha-born sensation has declared his belief that Garcia will lose his belt to the Briton, favouring the challenger’s size and power.

Now, as fight week edges closer, Crawford has once again insisted that Benn will pull off the upset, as he told Fight Hub TV that he is picking ‘The Destroyer’ to come out on top.

“It’s going to be a good fight. I got Conor Benn!”

Benn will be competing at welterweight for the first time in nearly five years, looking to wrestle away the belt that Garcia won back in February with a win over Mario Barrios.

The event takes place on Saturday, September 12, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and on the undercard, Jai Opetaia is set to take on current WBC cruiserweight world champion Noel Mikaelian.

It currently remains to be seen whether the Armenian will still be the reigning titleholder when fight night comes around though, due to rumours that Mikaelian will be stripped for avoiding a fight with David Benavidez.

Carl Froch Claims One Welterweight Champion Could Have Stopped Terence Crawfords Unbeaten Streak

"Carl Froch Claims One Welterweight Champion Could Have Stopped Terence Crawford's Unbeaten Streak"

Terence Crawford faced and defeated 42 different opponents during a 17-year career, but super-middleweight icon Carl Froch believes that there is one welterweight who would have put an end to Crawford’s unbeaten streak if they were to meet in their primes.

Crawford became the first post-war boxer to claim the undisputed title in three separate weight divisions last September; a run which began as a super-lightweight in 2015 by defeating Thomas Dulorme, then unifying against Viktor Postol before halting Julius Indongo in an undisputed title showdown.

‘Bud’ then moved on to the welterweight scene and knocked out Jeff Horn to capture the WBO world title on his 147lb debut, making five defences of the title before colliding with fierce rival and three-belt unified titleholder, Errol Spence Jr, in 2023.

In a unforgettable fight, Crawford brutally beat Spence down in an authoritative ninth-round stoppage win to capture the undisputed welterweight throne. Talk then turned to an unprecedented three-weight move up to super-middleweight to take on Canelo Alvarez.

After stopping off at super-welterweight to dethrone Israil Madrimov on his way up, Crawford debuted at super-middleweight in a challenge for Canelo’s undisputed crown and outboxed the Mexican superstar in an iconic win last year, hanging up the gloves three months later.

Despite those legendary achievements, Froch picked Floyd Mayweather Jr to come out on top in a potential fantasy fight against the Omaha southpaw, in an episode of ‘Froch on Fighting’.

Mayweather’s achievements speak for themselves, retiring with a perfect 50-0 unbeaten record after claiming world honours in five divisions, with his most impressive reign coming at 147lbs, where he defeated the likes of Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley.

Mayweather has been rumoured to make a comeback, but while there would be huge finances that would be on offer, Crawford has revealed that he would have no interest in ending his retirement for a bout with ‘TBE’, believing that the 49-year-old is ‘old’ and ‘done’.

Conor Benn Reveals His Pick: Oscar De La Hoya vs Terence Crawford Showdown in Boxing History

Conor Benn Reveals His Pick: Oscar De La Hoya vs Terence Crawford Showdown in Boxing History

Terence Crawford has been hailed by many as the best fighter of this generation following his retirement, and now WBC welterweight title hopeful Conor Benn has shared how he thinks ‘Bud’ would have fared against six-division world champion Oscar De La Hoya.

Crawford became boxing’s sixth five-division world champion with an iconic win over Canelo Alvarez back in September; joining Thomas Hearns, Sugar Ray Leonard, De La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao in that elite and exclusive club reserved only for legends of the sport.

Of that group, only De La Hoya and Pacquiao have gone on to conquer a sixth division, with De La Hoya’s 2004 WBO middleweight world title win over Felix Sturm seeing the Californian become the first boxer to ever become a sextuple champion.

Crawford could have joined ‘’The Golden Boy’ and ‘Pac-Man’ in achieving that feat, having been offered a middleweight world title shot during the aftermath of his triumph over Canelo late last year – a proposal which later fell apart due to a failed doping test by Janibek Alimkhanuly.

Continuing the praise that the Omaha-born southpaw has received since announcing his retirement last December, Benn told Daily Mail Boxing that he would favour the undefeated star to get the better of De La Hoya, if they were to meet in their primes.

Benn also went on to predict that Crawford would retain his unbeaten streak against other greats of the game, picking him to come out on top against each of Mayweather, Julio Cesar Chavez, Pernell Whitaker and Roberto Duran.
