50 Cent has deleted the social media post containing an alleged conversation between Al Haymon and Leonard Ellerbe discussing Floyd Mayweather less than 24 hours after the audio stunned the boxing world.
The rapper offered no explanation for removing the recording, which he claimed featured Haymon and Ellerbe discussing the undefeated former champion and Premier Boxing Champions.
World Boxing News was unable to independently verify the authenticity of the recording when it was first published. With the post now gone after less than a day online, debate over whether the audio was genuine has only intensified.
Some fans accepted the recording at face value, while others questioned whether artificial intelligence could have been used to create it.
Deleted without explanation
The audio disappeared without warning and remains unavailable on 50 Cent’s social media.
Several possibilities remain. The rapper may have removed the post himself, or it may have disappeared following a complaint, platform action or another reason that has not been made public.
Neither Mayweather, Haymon nor Ellerbe has publicly commented on either the recording or its removal.
The alleged conversation sparked widespread reaction, particularly one passage that some listeners interpreted as a direct threat toward Mayweather.
According to the transcript shared by 50 Cent, one speaker said: “Me and you stay close together and we’re going to put his ass in the ground. You’ll see.”
Without independent verification of the recording or confirmation of the identities of those speaking, no conclusions can be drawn about its authenticity.

Authenticity debate
The recording remained online for less than 24 hours before disappearing, making it even more difficult to establish whether it was genuine.
With no independent verification emerging before the post disappeared, debate over AI-generated audio is unlikely to fade as voice-cloning technology becomes increasingly convincing. Many fans are now treating recordings circulating on social media with greater caution unless they can be independently verified.
The removal also comes on the day Mayweather was due to return to the ring against Mike Zambidis in Greece before a court order forced the exhibition to be canceled.
Mayweather must first resolve the legal dispute surrounding his previously signed agreement to face Mike Tyson.
Whether the recording disappeared following legal correspondence, platform action or a decision by 50 Cent to remove it may never become public.
