Oleksandr Usyk’s photos after the fights of Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua speak for themselves

J. HumzaOleksandr Usyk’s battered face after beating Tyson Fury was a stark contrast to the minimal injuries he suffered in his second match against Anthony Joshua. The Ukrainian took to social media on Tuesday to show the damage he suffered to his face when he became the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world against Fury on Saturday evening.
Usyk is the first person to achieve the feat since Lennox Lewis achieved it in 1999, handing the Gypsy King the first defeat of his professional career in Riyad, Saudi Arabia. The Kiev-born boxer won by a split decision of the judges, who scored the fight 115-112, 114-113 and 113-114 in his favor, which was helped by a brutal knockout in the ninth round.
However, the victory came at a price for “The Cat”, who kept throwing punches at himself for 12 rounds. The 37-year-old’s selfie showed him with severe bruising on his cheekbones and under his eyes, as well as a cut above his right eye.
His knuckles also had some nasty cuts, even though several days had passed since the fight. Fury claimed that his opponent was even hospitalized with a broken jaw right after the match, but this information was rejected by Usyk’s promoter Alex Krassyuk.
However, the physical effects of the fight with Fury were much more evident after his second victory over British heavyweight Joshua. Photos of Usyk from the press conference immediately after his fight with AJ in August 2022 showed that he had significantly fewer bruises, except for one eye.
This was the second time Usyk sealed victory over Joshua. Their first fight took place in September 2021 and ended with a unanimous victory for Usyk, stripping AJ of the titles, although he suffered grave facial injuries in the process.
Their more even rematch ended in a split decision, with the judges scoring 115-113, 116-112 and 113-115 in favor of the Ukrainian. However, Joshua’s less aggressive strategy meant Usyk emerged with fewer injuries, and the dejected Briton broke down in tears at the press conference after his third defeat.
Fury and Usyk will fight again in October in Saudi Arabia, where Fury will try to avenge his only defeat. The winner is expected to face Joshua in early 2025, although Usyk’s decision to retire could pave the way for a long-awaited clash between the two former British champions.

Deontay Wilder’s father called ‘crazy’ and boxing career hangs in the balance – EXCLUSIVE

J. HumzaRichard Riakporhe has mocked Deontay Wilder’s father Gary for suggesting the Bronze Bomber still has a “few good years” left in the sport. Wilder has recently suffered a dramatic decline, most recently hitting a novel low when he was defeated by Zhilei Zhang in Saudi Arabia.
The hard-hitting American was knocked out in the fifth round, with Zhang unleashing two right hooks, sending his opponent to the canvas. The manner in which he lost led to calls for Wilder to retire, including: from his own mother’s side, but his father still believes that he should continue to fight.
In a speech earlier this month, the elder Wilder pointed the finger at his son’s coach Malik Scott and said: “You don’t need a buddy to coach you. It’s not too delayed for [Deontay]. I believe he still has a few good years ahead of him.
“Deontay has always been dull. Now Malik is trying to train him to be a boxer, and if you look at it, you can see that Deontay is not comfortable where he is.”
Riakporhe, who faced Chris Billam-Smith for the WBO cruiserweight title on Saturday night, believes there is still hope for Wilder but disagrees with his father’s hopeful view.
“I don’t know what it is, but something is missing,” Riakporhe told Express Sport. “If he can fix this, he can definitely do something. I think I read somewhere that his dad said he might spend another few years in the sport. I think this is crazy. He’s almost turning 40!
“But I would say he can definitely have a few more fights and he can end it all. Something is wrong, something is missing. In the heavyweight division, all it takes is one good win and that’s it, he’s there.
“There are so many fighters in the heavyweight division who have lost so many times and are still at the top. “I think if he can fix it, then fine, but if he can’t fix it, he shouldn’t get in the ring again.”
Wilder suggested before the fight with Zhang that he would retire if he did not win, but the 38-year-old has not yet confirmed any plans to hang up his gloves. He has lost four of his last five appearances, with two of those defeats coming at the hands of Tyson Fury.
He was also defeated on points by Joseph Parker before losing to Zhang.

Despite this obvious lavish lifestyle, Khan is considering coming out of retirement to further escalate his net worth by fighting a pair of boxers who are currently stealing the scene – KSI and Jake Paul.

Thanks to these fights, Khan can count on a multi-million profit if he owns it purse from the previous fight is there anything you can go to. The fighter earned between £690,000 and a whopping £9.4 million per fight, with his last fight against Brooks netting him a hearty £5 million despite losing.

Because of this, Khan could count on a solid profit by fighting Paul or KSI – regardless of the outcome of the match.
Khan also said he would be willing to face Jake Paul in the near future if fellow boxer Mike Tyson is unable to keep up with the former YouTube influencer.
Mike “Iron Mike” Tyson was scheduled to face Paul on July 20 in a controversial fight, but it was postponed until further notice because Tyson was deemed unfit to fight due to a flare-up of an ulcer.
The fight is now scheduled to take place between October and December, but Khan has said he would be willing to replace Tyson if Paul loses significant weight.
I am talking with Foreign poker sitesKhan said: “If the weight is right, I don’t mind giving up 20 pounds.
“It just depends on the weight because I know Jake gained a lot of weight to fight Mike. Jake isn’t usually this gigantic, but he’s gained a lot of weight, so it’s up to him to decide if he’s willing to lose the weight and we’ll find a middle ground somewhere.
We’ll see, but I haven’t had any calls about it, so I assume they’re still hoping to fight Mike and he won’t want to get beat up before then. These guys are halfway through training, drinking at camp – they don’t even have a camp – they make the sport look bad, so if it means I have to knock out KSI, Jake Paul and his brother Logan to teach them a lesson, I’ll do it this”.
Mirror reports that the former boxer added: “Honestly, I don’t think Jake Paul will want anything to do with me.
“I want to give this boxing influencer a break because these guys are destroying boxing and until they get a good beating they won’t realize that boxing is for real fighters who take the sport seriously.”
