Claressa Shields vs Franchon Crews-Dezurn 2 – gigantic fight preview and predictions
Published
5 months agoon
Undisputed champion Claressa Shields returns to action this weekend in her debut fight against Franchon Crews-Dezurn at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
Crews-Dezurn (10-2, 2 KO) will be looking for revenge when they meet again live on DAZN on Sunday, while Shields (17-0, 3 KO) was victorious when they first fought 10 years ago.
“GWOAT” remains undefeated since her professional debut in November 2016 and faced the best in the sport in various weight categories.
Fighting in Michigan, she won her first world title in her fourth fight.
A year after her first world title win, Shields moved up to middleweight and defeated Hanna Gabriels for the vacant IBF title, and just five months later she unified with the WBC.
The 30-year-old has held titles in four weight classes but has fought in the heavyweight division for the past 19 months, earning three victories, including a second-round knockout of Venessa Lepage-Joanisse in her heavyweight debut.

She last appeared in action seven months ago, beating Lani Daniels over 10 rounds to defend her undisputed crown.
Her opponent, Crews-Dezurn, isn’t overrated, even though she already has a loss to Shields.

Their first fight was at super middleweight and lasted four rounds, so they didn’t have much opportunity to draw conclusions before the weekend’s main event.
“The Massive Hitting Diva” is no stranger to causing upsets. This was evident in her victory over Shadasia Green of Most Valuable Promotions, whom she defeated over 10 rounds.
The last time in action was eight months ago, Crews-Dezurn defeated Citlalli Ortiz at a distance.
Atif Oberlton vs. Joseph George
The co-main event will be the fight between Atif Oberlton and Joseph George (13-1, 8 KO) in the delicate heavyweight division for 10 rounds.
Oberlton (14-0, 12 KO) enters the fight undefeated, and both fighters have fought 14 professional fights so far.
Undercard remaining
Samantha Worthington (12-0, 7 KO) will fight her 13th professional fight against Edith Soledad Matthysse (20-16-1, 3 KO).
Despite Matthysse’s greater experience, Worthington should have enough to secure a points win.
Danielle Perkins (5-1, 2 KO) returns for the first time since her unanimous decision loss to Shields.
He will face Che Kenneally (5-0, 5 KO) and Perkins could find himself on the wrong side of making a different decision within 10 rounds.
Shannel Butler (6-0, 3 KO) should be enough to fight Danila Ramos (14-4, 1 KO).
Undefeated heavyweight Pryce Taylor (10-0, 6 KO) returns to action just two months after his last appearance.
In just over three years of his career, Taylor has 10 wins and may record his seventh stoppage in the fight against James Evans (9-2-1, 7 KO) in Detroit.
Savannah Tini (6-0, 2 KO) enters her fight on the back of four consecutive unanimous decision victories and can secure a fifth place finish against the experienced Vaida Masiokaite (11-29-6, 1 KO) in the first eight-round fight of her career.
Lance Smith (5-0, 4 KO) boasts a knockout rate of 80% and can extend it next weekend when he faces Jorge Omar Vizcarrondo Pacheco (2-1-2, 2 KO) in his second six-round fight.
Jasmine Hampton (1-0, 1 KO) looks to build on her impressive debut last year, in which she won in 33 seconds.
Perhaps she will be able to stop the fight against Agustina Solange Vazquez (6-6-2, 1 KO) prematurely again.
In the heavyweight division, Sardius Simmons (6-0, 3 KO) should routinely win against Dylan Potter (2-2-1, 0 KO).
Jaquan McElroy (4-0, 2 KO) can stop Andre Johnson (2-4-1, 2 KO) in a four-round fight.

Lewis Crocker vs. Liam Paro – large fight preview and predictions
Published

June 23, 2026
On Wednesday, Lewis Crocker heads to Australia to defend his IBF welterweight world title against Liam Paro for the first time.
Crocker will face Paro at the Pat Rafter Arena in Queensland, live on DAZN in the UK and Kayo Sports in Australia.
Crocker (22-0, 11 KO) became world champion in September, defeating Paddy Donovan twice before winning the rematch by split decision.
Man from Belfast recorded his second victory over Donovan after the first victory in March last year, and his rival was disqualified for hitting him after the bell.
Paro (27-1, 16 KO) is trying to become a world champion in two weight categories, having previously reigned in the super-lightweight division.
The 30-year-old won the title with a unanimous decision victory over Subriel Matias in Puerto Rico before winning the belt in his first defense against Richardson Hitchins.
The Australian has since won twice, overtaking David Papot in his last appearance in September.

McKean meets Taliva
Heavyweight Demsey McKean will look to continue his rebuild when he faces Liam Talivaa for the vacant IBF Pan Pacific title.
McKean (24-2, 16 KO) had his career cut miniature after a last-round loss to Filip Hrgovic, followed by a brutal first-round loss to Moses Itauma.
The 35-year-old southpaw returned to winning ways with back-to-back stoppage victories.
Talivaa (8-2, 4 KO) last won the IBF Oceania-Orient title, defeating Faiga Opelu by first-round stoppage.
Undercard remaining
At cruiserweight, Luke Modini (13-0, 11 KO) will likely need distance to beat Peng Qu (17-2-1, 12 KO), while Riley Candy (8-1, 5 KO) could stop Nathan Watson (11-3, 3 KO) at super middleweight.
Vegas Larfield (13-1, 9 KO) can hand Shamal Ram Anuj (11-8, 8 KO) his fourth defeat in a row in a featherweight clash.
Heavyweight Nelson Asofa-Solomon (2-0, 2 KO) can secure a third straight knockout over debutant George Burgess, and Stevan Ivic (8-0-1, 2 KO) can do the same against Caleb Tialu (3-7, 3 KO), also a heavyweight.
Prospective super welterweight fighter Jack Javed (1-0) should overtake Lance McDonald (1-5-1, 1 KO).
