Jose
Delgado believes Jean Silva
is hiding his real personality.

Delgado (12-2) and Silva (17-3) will headline the
Ultimate Fighting Championship's fourth edition of Noche UFC on
Sept. 12 at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. Silva was
originally scheduled to fight Yair
Rodriguez, who pulled out due to an injury. Following
Rodriguez's withdrawal, Delgado stepped up and recently slammed his
upcoming opponent, calling his persona inauthentic.

Delgado is high in confidence going into
Noche UFC 4. He recently claimed that beating Silva puts him in
title contention, setting him up for the winner of
UFC 333's featherweight championship main event between current
champ Alexander
Volkanovski and unbeaten challenger Movsar
Evloev.

“I expect violence. I expect to break this guy,†Delgado told Ariel
Helwani. “I expect a freaking stunner of a KO… If Jean Silva took
out Yair Rodriguez, he'd be fighting for the title after Volk and
Movsar fight. Why wouldn't I steal that spotlight? Why wouldn't I
steal that opportunity?â€

Silva has a quirky personality, as he often barks like a dog.
Delgado believes the Brazilian is a coward who is hiding behind the
mask of a loud persona. He plans to let “Lord†bark all he wants
before he gets put down.

“It is an illusion for him, man… He's a coward,†Delgado added. “He
needs that mask to make himself feel good. It's a disguise, and
it's a farce. I don't respect it. I think it's cowardly. I will put
him down like a dog. [Before] you just let the dog bark.â€

Delgado is 4-1 in the UFC and coming off wins over Andre Fili
and Austin
Bashi. Meanwhile, Silva is 6-1 in the UFC with five knockouts
and his only loss coming against two-time title challenger Diego
Lopes.

could've handled his retirement from cornering better.

Thomas announced his retirement from cornering live on air after
his fighter Gillian
Robertson made a failed
Ultimate Fighting Championship strawweight title bid against
Mackenzie
Dern at UFC
330. The former fighter faced severe backlash for stealing the
moment right after his fighter lost the biggest fight of her life
and subsequently issued an apology to Robertson.

While Brady doesn't approve of Thomas' public comments about
Robertson, he's still open to having the UFC analyst in his
corner.

On the “Deep Waters†podcast, Thomas hinted that he will be in
Brady's (19-2) corner in his upcoming clash against Gabriel
Bonfim (20-1) on Nov. 7 at Meta Apex in Las Vegas.

However, Brady didn't confirm if Thomas will be in his corner on
Nov. 7. While he didn't like Thomas announcing his retirement after
Robertson's loss, he also believes the backlash his coach faced
wasn't justified.

Brady says that he would be glad to have Thomas in his corner for
his upcoming fight. However, he is not dependent on the former
fighter and has a full team behind him.

“The thing with Din is, I do not agree with what Din said and how
he said it,†Brady told Ariel Helwani. “Perhaps that shouldn't have
been said. I feel like Din regrets what he said and how he said it.
I feel like that is definitely something I would want said to me in
private… I don't think it was fair for everyone to stack on him
because of one thing he said. I love Din. Din has flown up to
Philly multiple times and never asked me for anything. He's done a
lot of good things for me and my team. I don't know if he's gonna
be in my corner. We're still gonna be working together… If he
wants to be in my corner, I will gladly have him. He's more like a
tactical corner; he's not my head corner, but I love Din. He plays
an important role. It will be a loss if he decides not to corner
me, but if he decides not to, I completely understand.â€

Ladd believes the next year will be great for women's mixed
martial arts.

Ladd recently weighed in on the merger between the
Professional Fighters League and
Most Valuable Promotions. She's slightly skeptical about the
merger, considering things didn't play out as expected with PFL's
acquisition of Bellator
in 2023, but remains optimistic.

Ladd also notes that women's boxing under MVP and bare-knuckle
boxing under BKFC are rising in the meantime. With former Bellator
president Scott Coker set to launch his own promotion next year,
the former
Ultimate Fighting Championship athlete believes it'll be a
bright year ahead for women's MMA.

“Because with the merger between, or supposed to be a merger,
right, with PFL and Bellator, you thought, oh, it’d be great,â€

Ladd told Sherdog’s Sean Sheehan. “They’re absorbing the weight
classes is going to be one big thing, but it wasn’t. That was a
disaster. There’s the UFC not really putting much effort, time, or
attention into their women’s divisions, but during that same time
period, Bare Knuckle's taken off. Boxing has really taken off with
MVP. But I think that the MVP-PFL merger will be a huge thing. I
know obviously Scott Coker’s coming back. So I think like next year
is gonna be great. The last couple haven’t been.â€

Ladd also believes women's MMA in the UFC is suffering due to
multiple factors. She claims the promotion hasn't been giving due
attention to women's MMA and is signing fighters when they're too
green, referencing Bella Mir's
loss on
Dana White's Contender Series.

“And we’ll see what the UFC chooses to do,†Ladd added. “Like they
had a couple hot pros, well, one hot prospect last night, and that
didn’t go how they wanted. And they’ve brought in a couple girls
too, and I just think they’re bringing them in too early, or
they’re building their records on people where they’re not really
getting that experience before they get to the big show, and then
they get to the big show and they’re potential stars are falling
flat, right? So, like, back in the day, you had a bunch of
promotions, like Invicta; Invicta was amazing. That’s where I did
my first five fights, where you’re fighting real competition before
you get to the big stage, or the biggest stage, right? So, I think
it’s really suffering from not much care; there’s been a lack of
opportunity and then pushing young fighters a little too fast.â€

Ladd (12-5) fought in the UFC from 2017 to 2022 before signing with
the PFL. She switched to Bellator for one fight after PFL dropped
the women's featherweight division in 2024. The American has since
shifted focus to bare-knuckle boxing, where she scored a
first-round knockout in her debut last November.

Ladd is now scheduled to fight Bianca
Daimoni in a bare-knuckle boxing bout under the BKB banner on
Aug. 29 in Miami.
