Cole Miller doesn't see the need to deviate from his usual
strategy for his upcoming bout in the
Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Miller is scheduled to fight Billy Goff
in a welterweight bout at
UFC Vegas 120 on Aug. 8 at Meta Apex in Las Vegas. The jab has
long been the weapon of choice for the 6-foot-2 Miller. He plans to
use his range as he typically does and pick apart Goff from a
distance.

Miller admits that he has to be careful when reacting to Goff's
level changes and making sure that he is not backed up against the
fence.

“I'm gonna use [my height] as I always have, have people fight at
the end of my jab,†Miller said in a recent interview. “Stick ‘em
till they drop. I just need to be able to potshot a little bit.
Have them at the end of my punches and make sure my back isn't
against the fence. And just be able to react when he shoots and
level changes.â€

Miller (7-0) finished Adam Fugitt
in a first-round buzzer-beater in his UFC debut this past January.
The undefeated 26-year-old feels the time away has already been too
long and wants a quick Octagon return. His opponent, Goff (9-4),
enters the matchup needing a win after dropping his last two bouts
following his UFC debut victory in 2023.

Ty Miller plans to use his length to his advantage and hopes to set
himself up for a quick turnaround after August 8.

Ruffy wants to make a statement against Arman
Tsarukyan.

Ruffy will face his biggest step up in competition in the
Ultimate Fighting Championship when he squares off against
Tsarukyan at UFC 331
on Sept. 19 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The Brazilian
believes a win over Tsarukyan warrants a title shot next.

Ruffy claims he isn't feeling any pressure following the
announcement of the lightweight booking and vows to hunt for a
knockout win over “Ahalkalakets†in the UFC 331 co-headliner. As he
did with his last bout, Ruffy's training camp will soon commence in
Australia under the guidance of Alexander
Volkanovski.

“Winning this fight takes us straight to the title,†Ruffy said on
his Instagram Stories in Portuguese. “And that's it; let's go and
give it our all. I don’t feel pressure at all. I feel privileged,
very grateful to God for all this. I’m going there for the
knockout… I don’t want to leave the octagon without that result.
I'm leaving now. I'm going to Australia to do the full camp
there.â€

Ruffy (14-2) has finished five of his six UFC wins so far and has
only lost to Benoit St.
Denis inside the Octagon. The 30-year-old is coming off
finishes over Rafael
Fiziev and Michael
Chandler. Meanwhile, Tsarukyan is on a five-fight win streak,
10-2 in the UFC and finished Dan Hooker in
his last bout.

As per his manager Ali Abdelaziz, UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethje wants a big fight for his next outing in the cage.

At UFC Freedom 250, Justin Gaethje defeated Ilia Topuria to claim the undisputed UFC lightweight championship. While many spent a good few weeks dissecting how exactly he made that happen, others looked to the future.

Gaethje has a handful of really interesting challengers that he could face off against at 155 pounds, but given his age and how long he's been in the game, retirement is always a possibility – especially when you consider just how much damage he has taken in his career.

According to Ali Abdelaziz, if Gaethje does return next year, then he wants to do so for a big fight.

“(In) 2027 we will see Justin Gaethje fighting,†Abdelaziz told MMA Junkie. “He fought two times this year. He deserves the time off. He's still the lightweight champion, undisputed, and I think all these guys have to chase him. But he wants to be in a big fight – a big, big fight. What is the big fight? Who decides that? It's Dana White who decides what's the biggest fight they can make.â€

“If he retired today, I will be so happy because he did everything,†Abdelaziz said. “And if he wants to choose to fight one more time, he can fight one more time because nobody tells him what to do. He's the boss. At the end of the day, it just has to be a massive fight.â€
