UFC Oklahoma City: 'Du Plessis vs. Usman' Live Results and Highlights

The Octagon invades Paycom Center for tonight's UFC Oklahoma City event, a 12-bout fight card headlined by Dricus du Plessis vs. Kamaru Usman.

Du Plessis (23-3 MMA) will be competing for the first time since losing the promotion‘s middleweight title to Khamzat Chimaev 11 months ago at UFC 319. Prior to that lopsided decision defeat, ‘DDP' had strung together 10 straights wins, which included victories over Sean Strickland (x2), Israel Adesanya, Robert Whittaker and Darren Till.

Meanwhile, Kamaru Usman (21-4 MMA) most previously competed in June of 2025, where he scored an impressive unanimous decision victory over Joaquin Buckley. That win snapped a three-fight losing skid for ‘The Nigerian Nightmare', who had previously suffered losses at the hands of Leon Edwards (x2) and Khamzat Chimaev respectively.

UC Oklahoma City is co-headlined by a highly anticipated middleweight contest featuring Jared Cannonier taking on Christian Leroy Duncan.

Cannonier (18-9 MMA) will be competing for the first time since dropping a decision to Michael Page eleven months ago at UFC 319. Prior to that setback, ‘Tha Killa Gorilla' was coming off a fourth-round TKO victory over Gregory Rodrigues. The 42-year-old has gone 3-3 over his past six Octagon appearances overall.

Meanwhile, Christian Leroy Duncan (14-2 MMA) will enter this evening's co-main event on a four-fight winning streak, with his most recent victory coming over Roman Dolidze this past March in London. Prior to that, ‘CLD' was coming off back-to-back knockout victories over Eryk Anders and Marco Tulio respectively.

Also featured on tonight's main card lineup is a lightweight bout between Chase Hooper and Mitch Ramirez.

Hooper (16-5-1 MMA) will enter the contest with hopes of snapping a two-fight losing skid. ‘The Dream' has suffered first-round TKO losses to Alexander Hernandez and Lance Gibson Jr. in his two most recent Octagon appearances. Prior to those setbacks, the 26-year-old had strung together five straights wins, which included victories over Clay Guida and Jim Miller.

Meanwhile, Mitch Ramirez (8-3 MMA) will also be looking to snap a two-fight losing skid this evening. The 33-year-old most previously competed 12 months ago, where he suffered a second-round TKO loss at the hands of Mike Davis.

UFC Oklahoma City Post Show: Dricus du Plessis beat up Kamaru Usman, but what did it do for him?

Dricus du Plessis got back in the win column, but where he goes from here is anybody's guess.

On Saturday night, the former middleweight champion added a rock-solid win to his resume, winning a wide unanimous decision over Kamaru Usman in the main event of UFC Oklahoma City. But though it was a good win for “DDP,†du Plessis failed to make a statement over the smaller fighter, raising the question of whether that was good enough for him to get another crack at the middleweight belt?

Following the UFC Fight Night card, MMA Fighting's Jed Meshew reacts to du Plessis's win and where it puts him in the 185-pound pecking order. Additionally, Jed talks about where Usman goes from here, the rest of the UFC Oklahoma City Card, Johnny Eblen's big win at PFL Austin, the marquee RAF results, and more.

RAF 11 Results: Colby Covington edges Arman Tsarukyan to claim inaugural crossover belt

Colby Covington is the inaugural RAF crossover champion.

On Saturday night in Milwaukee, Covington wrestled Arman Tsarukyan for the inaugural title, and the former Division 1 All-American wrestler showed his chops, edging out Tsarukyan in a hard-fought battle.

Tsarukyan came out pandering to the Wisconsin crowd, rocking a cheese head. Covington was definitely the bigger man in the matchup, but Tsarukyan didn't care whatsoever about that, taking the fight right to him. Both men locked up, but neither could gain much advantage in these positions, working snap downs and arm drags. At the end of the first, Tsarukyan changed levels for a single-leg, but Covington hit a waist wrap, taking him over for a takedown, and a 3-0 lead, including a shot clock point from earlier in the round.

Covington's defense remained very stalwart defensively, but in the second round, Tsarukyan got a cleaner single leg and drove through, lifting Covington in the air and getting the takedown when Covington bailed out to avoid the exposure. On the reset, Covington finally shot his own takedown, but Tsarukyan was able to barely keep from giving up points after a fun scramble. But like in the first period, Tsarukyan shot a weak takedown at the end, and Covington sprawled and turned to get two more points.

Heading into the third round, Tsarukyan was down three points, and he wrestled with that sort of urgency, pressing forward and attacking repeatedly. That put Covington in a shot clock violation, but Tsarukyan simply could not break through Covington's defense to score. He continues to try, but Covington sprawled effectively and never gave him a window, eking out a 5-3 win, and handing Tsarukyan his first loss in RAF.

After the match, Covington was highly complimentary of Tsarukyan, saying he's going to be the UFC lightweight champion soon. Then he laid out a list of possible opponents for his new title, including Belal Muhammad and Khamzat Chimaev.
