Liddard (14-0, 8 KO) was made to work demanding by former European champion Denny (21-4-3, 1 KO) in both meetings, but won by three scores of 116-112.
Liddard appeared to be on the right track early in the evening when he tripped the 34-year-old in the first round.
However, the guy refused to be deterred and reacted well, landing a demanding left hook in the second round that caught the attention of the 23-year-old as he caught Denny with rights and lefts.
The pattern continued, and Denny began to make his mark on the fight in the fourth round, detonating at least two left hands to Liddard.
Denny who was Stopped by Hamzah Sheeraz in two rounds in September 2024, he maintained a relentless pace and continued to land combinations, which clearly frustrated Liddard as he continued to clinch and tie him up.
Liddard, who last won the British title by stopping Kieron Conway in the 10th round, appeared to hurt his rival with a well-placed body shot in the eighth round, but Denny regrouped and both fighters traded furiously by the end of the round.
Denny had a solid ninth round that included at least two left hands to give up the fight that took down the partisan crowd.

The Essex fighter wobbled on Denny at the start of the 11th over and both fighters continued to exchange words until the final bell, with the fight being fierce and ultimately going to the scorecards.
All three judges scored the fight 116-112, with Liddard securing his 14th consecutive professional win and retaining the Lonsdale and Commonwealth belts while adding the vacant IBF Intercontinental middleweight title.
Visioli falls, Giles dominates
Giorgio Visioli defeated Levi Giles en route to a dominant unanimous decision victory to retain his English lightweight title.
Visioli (11-0, 6 KO) knocked down Giles (17-3-1, 4 KO) in the fifth round with a series of shots to the head and body, but the fighter from Grimsby, who had never been stopped in either of his two previous defeats, survived the attack and got back on his feet.

Visioli was a class better than the 29-year-old for 10 rounds and won a clear winner with scores of 100-89 and 99-90×2, which emphasized his dominance.
The 22-year-old remains on track for a high-profile clash with the rising American, Curmel Moton.
Sains pushes past Osaze
Jimmy Sains successfully defended his English middleweight title for the first time, but Derrick Osaze pushed him to the brink after a controversial majority decision.
Sains (12-0, 10 KO) stumbled against Osaze (13-4, 3 KO) behind schedule in the third round, but he tired in the long run and the challenger seemed to swing most of the second half of the fight.

Scores of 97-93 and 96-94 gave Sains the win, overruling the third judge who scored it 95-95.
Buttigieg attacks Goodwin in thriller
Leli Buttigieg scored a stunning stoppage to stop Jake Goodwin in the ninth round in a thrilling middleweight bout.
Buttigieg (12-0, 4 KO) and Goodwin (8-3-1, 1 KO) exchanged frantically throughout the fight, although Buttigieg appeared to be heading for a potential first professional loss after being deducted two points for repeatedly spitting out his rubber shield.
However, the 21-year-old regained his strength and created a showreel ending.
