Jake Paul’s “copycat” after Anthony Joshua’s knockout
Published
3 months agoon
Jake Paul emulates boxing icon Floyd Mayweather in his latest social media offering following his weekend knockout loss to Anthony Joshua in Miami, Florida. The American showed off his fighting earnings in a photo that also showed an array of firearms aboard a private plane.
Former two-time heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist Joshua, 36, knocked down the 28-year-old YouTuber-turned-professional boxer during the sixth round of their heavyweight clash at the Kaseya Center in the early hours of Saturday morning. Joshua’s right hand proved so devastating that Paul’s jaw suffered multiple fractures, requiring immediate post-competition surgical intervention. Despite the injury adding to the pain of the defeat, the American boxer remained extremely busy on social media platforms after the fight, with a recent Instagram post showing his fight bag of bundles of $100 bills scattered on the floor of a private jet while brandishing several firearms.
“The American Dream [US flag emoji]. Get started today. Believe it. Fail. Work. Fail. To learn. Fail. Never stop,” wrote Paul, who could be seen clutching a gold-plated magnum and puffing on a cigar. The upload shows similarities to photos shared by former fellow boxer “Money” Mayweather in previous years.
The former five-division world champion often posed with his millions in cash after major fights during his 21-year professional career. Paul has already praised the sport and declared his intention to continue boxing, with his goal of winning world titles, especially in the cruiserweight division, once he has fully recovered.
Nevertheless, he faces a mandatory 60-day medical suspension before he can compete again following his knockout defeat. Meanwhile, after his triumph, Joshua openly called out Tyson Fury for a potential future fight, suggesting he would apply the upcoming fight as a stepping stone to a heavyweight showdown.
After the fight, he told Ariel Helwani: “First of all, I want to give love to the crowd that came out. I really appreciate everyone in this stadium. Look, it wasn’t the best performance. It wasn’t the best. The ultimate goal was to get Jake Paul… pin him down and hurt him.”
“That was the request that came to my mind. It took a little longer than I expected, but the right hand finally found the target. Jake Paul… he did really well today. I want to give him support. He got up. Time after time. It was complex for him there, but he still tried to find a way.”
“It takes a real man to do that. We always tell anyone who laces up those gloves that we show him respect. We have to show Jake respect for trying and trying and trying. Good job. But…tonight he faced a real fighter who has been off for 15 months. We’ve shaken off the cobwebs and I can’t wait to get into 2026.”
“And if Tyson Fury is as earnest as he thinks he is, and he wants to put his fingers down on Twitter, put on the gloves, go out and fight one of the truest fighters who will take on any challenge. Step into the ring with me next if you’re a real bad boy. Don’t do it all by saying, ‘AJ this, AJ that.’ See you in the ring and let’s talk with our fists.”

Jake Paul suffers a wardrobe malfunction in front of Donald Trump at a rally

Jake Paul took the stage at Donald Trump’s rally in Hebron, Kentucky, expecting to impress the president with comments about courage, politics and dedication. Instead, the YouTuber-turned-boxer inadvertently created one of the most memorable moments of the evening for those in attendance.
The rally was held at the Verst Logistics facility, where Trump spent the afternoon addressing supporters, praising allies and delivering his political message to a crowd of red-hatted supporters. During the event, the president invited Paul on stage and showered him with praise.
Trump described Paul as a “brave guy” and “hell fighter,” even hinting that the YouTube personality might eventually run for political office.
In 2024, Paul released a lengthy video supporting Trump. At the rally, he began speaking to the crowd about how Trump had motivated him and “taught” him to be brave.
However, Paul’s appearance was strenuous to miss due to the perceptible sweat stains.
The boxer stood in a brown suit, white shirt and tie, but what caught the eye was the sweat seeping through his jacket.
This awkward situation was ironic, considering Paul actually owns a deodorant brand. In 2024, he founded the personal care company “W” and promoted the product by holding spray cans during the strike against Mike Tyson.
W is available at major retailers like Walmart and Amazon for under $10. The brand’s marketing emphasizes sweat protection for an lively lifestyle such as boxing, and Paul characterized sweating as a persistent uncertainty during the product launch.
“Sweating has been a problem of mine for a long time. If you know me, you know I’m a cleanliness freak,” he said.
“I always want to smell fresh, but training in Puerto Rico’s muggy climate is a real challenge.”

March 12, 2026
Gigantic boxing returns to Anaheim this weekend as Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy promotes Arnold Barboza Jr (32-1) to fight Kenneth Sims Jr (22-3-1).
Sims Jr is Barboza Jr’s first test after losing a unanimous decision in his last match.
The 34-year-old was outclassed last time he faced Teofimo Lopez for the WBO super lightweight crown.
He was scored on all three judges’ scorecards, with two scoring him 112-116 and the third scoring him 110-118.
The Lopez vs. Barboza Jr fight took place on the historic Times Square card last May.
After over nine months of break, he returns for the first time, this time in the welterweight division.
Barboza Jr last fought at welterweight in 2019, where he forced Ricky Sismundo to retire in the fourth round.
Since moving up to super lightweight, the 34-year-old has scored several impressive victories against Sean McComb, Jose Carlos Ramirez and Jack Catterall.

His opponent, Sims Jr, is no exaggeration despite having three defeats to his name.
Sam Sims Jr last suffered a loss when he was defeated by majority decision against Oscar Duarte Jurado in August.
Before the defeat in the last match, “Bossman” was in good form, recording nine wins in the series.

Prediction: Barboza Jr should have more than enough to be confirmed to compete in the welterweight division.
Oscar Collazo vs. Jesus Haro
The co-main event sees one of the lower weight classes’ most thrilling stars return to action.
Oscar Collazo (13-0) will enter the bout undefeated with an impressive 77% knockout rate against Jesus Haro (13-3).
His last appearance was in September, when he scored a victory over Jayson Vayson, whom he stopped in the seventh.

Collazo has held the WBO minimumweight world title since May 2023, when he forced Melvin Jerusalem to retire on his stool after the seventh round.
Haro, 23, is fighting for a world title for the first time in his career, so he will be looking to cause an upset.
He lost on his debut by split decision and has since been defeated twice in the last five years.
Despite the losses, Haro has as many wins as Collazo entering the competition.

In May 2025, he defeats Jaime Guevara by knockout in the fourth round.
Prediction: Collazo should take his eleventh career break and it will prove to be too much for the 23-year-old.
Gabriela Fundora vs. Viviana Ruiz Corredor
Undisputed flyweight world champion Gabriela Fundora (17-0) returns to action on Saturday against Viviana Ruiz Corredor (10-2).
He puts all his belts on the line against Ruiz Corredor.
Fundora is on a remarkable 17-fight win streak since making his professional debut in 2021.
She won her first world title just two years after her debut in 2023, when she defeated Arely Mucino in the fifth round.
“Sweet Poison” enters this weekend’s fight on a three-fight winning streak, all coming in seven.
At just 23 years elderly, Fundora is one of the brightest stars in the sport and may look to fight in multiple weight classes in the future.
Prediction: Should have more than enough to stop a fourth straight fight against Corredor, who has never finished a match before the final bell.
Undercard remaining
Elsewhere in the event, former world title challenger Alexis Rocha (25-2-1) will face veteran campaigner Joseph Diaz (34-8-1) in a welterweight clash that will see Rocha fight for ten rounds.
There are also plenty of undefeated prospects, with Joel Iriarte (9-0) looking to maintain his perfect record against Rock Dodler Myrthil (17-2-1), and Fabian Guzman (9-0) also expected to be favored to extend his unbeaten streak against Julian Delgado (9-1).
Daniel Garcia (12-0) vs Blas Ezequiel Caro (12-9) in a airy heavyweight bout and will likely be confident of keeping his record intact, while Cayden Griffiths (7-0) will face Omar Ulises Gutierrez Munguia (8-2-1) and Grant Flores (12-0) will face Rashid Stevens (6-1-2) and several Gold contenders The boy is impressive on the card.
