Oleksandr Usyk “prays” for Jake Paul in his match against Anthony Joshua
Oleksandr Usyk believes Jake Paul could risk his life by fighting Anthony Joshua and admits he will pray for him.
Paul will face former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua, whom Usyk has already defeated twice, on December 19 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, live on Netflix.
Usyk later faced “The Problem Child”. arresting Daniel Dubois reclaim the undisputed heavyweight crown in July and warned the YouTuber-turned-boxer of the potential danger that awaits him if “AJ” puts his best foot forward.
“If Anthony Joshua wants, Anthony [can] kill this guy,” Usyk told the media at the WBC Convention in Thailand this week.
“Anthony Joshua [an] Olympic champion.
“Jake Paul is an athlete, YouTuber, showman.
“Yes, I will pray for Jake Paul because I want to [to] fight Jake Paul [an] octagon.”
Usyk first became heavyweight champion in September 2021 when he defeated Joshua by unanimous decision, and won a split decision 11 months later.
Paul was scheduled to face Gervonta Davis last month, but the fight was canceled after Davis was accused of punching his ex-girlfriend in a civil lawsuit.
The 28-year-old is at least a 6/1 outsider to beat ‘AJ’, who is set to fight for the first time since losing to Dubois by fifth-round knockout last September.

Even though the chances for him were slim, the player from Ohio believes that he will manage to create a stunning situation and give the 36-year-old the fifth defeat in his career.
“He’s one of the best heavyweights in history,” he said at the first press conference.
“But I think fighting a smaller fighter is often more arduous for a heavyweight due to the difference in speed, footwork, angles and off-center head.
“All this power is great, but I just have to avoid this one shot for eight rounds – and I believe I can do it.
I know I can pick him apart, score points and make it a great competition.
“Don’t respect me just for getting there – respect me because I will win.”

Jaron Ennis is the bookmakers’ main favorite to defeat Xander Zayas in their highly anticipated world title clash on Saturday in Brooklyn.
Ennis challenges Zayas for the WBO and WBA super welterweight belts at the Barclays Center live on DAZN pay-per-view.

On Wednesday, Lewis Crocker heads to Australia to defend his IBF welterweight world title against Liam Paro for the first time.
Crocker will face Paro at the Pat Rafter Arena in Queensland, live on DAZN in the UK and Kayo Sports in Australia.
Crocker (22-0, 11 KO) became world champion in September, defeating Paddy Donovan twice before winning the rematch by split decision.
Man from Belfast recorded his second victory over Donovan after the first victory in March last year, and his rival was disqualified for hitting him after the bell.
Paro (27-1, 16 KO) is trying to become a world champion in two weight categories, having previously reigned in the super-lightweight division.
The 30-year-old won the title with a unanimous decision victory over Subriel Matias in Puerto Rico before winning the belt in his first defense against Richardson Hitchins.
The Australian has since won twice, overtaking David Papot in his last appearance in September.
McKean meets Taliva
Heavyweight Demsey McKean will look to continue his rebuild when he faces Liam Talivaa for the vacant IBF Pan Pacific title.
