Crawford confronts whispers because of the left arm injury before the Saturday fight with Canelo

Image: Crawford Confronts Whispers of a Left Shoulder Injury Ahead of Saturday's Bout with Canelo

Terenka Crawford today denied that he has a shoulder injury in the fight against Canelo Alvarez on Saturday, September 13. Crawford (41-0, 31 KO) rejected the questions that he was wounded, saying that it was more “fools” about the conversation.

Swollen shoulder speculation

This week, there were rumors that Crawford was injured by a left shoulder. There is a photo showing his left arm swollen, which helped feed the belief that the 37-year-old was hiding an injury.

With the way he pushed in a training camp after he was out of the action for 13 months, it would not be a surprise if he was wounded. His inactivity and age are natural factors that would make him susceptible to injuries. During Crawford’s interview, his beard was noticeably graying. He looked like a 38-year-old.

Crawford denies injuries

“Where do I get an injury of my arms? People invent their own antics,” said Terenka Crawford during today’s Great arrivals In Las Vegas, denying that he has arms. “They come up with all kinds of things.”

Why should Crawford admit he was wounded? If he has an injury, it would be reckless from this disclosure in advance, because Canelo would aim at this area. Crawford $ 50 million reported is paid, it is not a realistic withdrawal from the fight if he has a problem with his arms.

“Of course, the power will definitely come with it, so it’s not a fear that I have ever had. Close everyone,” said Crawford, asked what excites him about his challenge against Canelo on Saturday.

It is doubtful whether there will be an augment in power with Crawford. It seems that it is the same size as in his last fight with Israil Madrimov on August 3, 2024 and did not show power in this fight.

Crawford wants to enjoy

“It happened earlier. This is not the first time I was booed. So I don’t care. It is not the first time people fought against Terenka Crawford. But they can’t fight for it, so it doesn’t matter to me. It just hangs a bit on the cake,” said Crawford.

It seems that Terenka can not wait for binding after the fight if Canelo is annoyed. He would have a chance to rub him later and give him the antique one: “I told you that.”

Will it be hidden in the cabin?

Of course, if Crawford loses, he will have to listen to fans who destroy him. We hope that it will not disappear from society and does not go to the mountains to separate in the cabin to hide from shame.

“You can say that this is a larger event. But at the same time it’s my job. I’m used to the media, people and such things,” said Crawford, when he was asked to compare the attention he receives for this fight with Canelo compared to that when he fought with Errol Spence on July 29, 2023.

The interest and promotion of this fight was overshadowed by Crawford vs. Spence two years ago. It was a fight with which ordinary fans were not as addicted as the Canelo-Crawford duel, because there was no promotional money. They didn’t have someone like Turks Alalshikh spending a fortune promoting.

Risking KO

“I don’t know about his detention, but I’m powerful. I have never been to the ring with Canelo, so I can’t talk about him. But that’s why we’re fighting the fight so that we can figure it out,” said Crawford.

It is doubtful that Crawford has enough power or landing to knock out Canelo. Alvarez would take a larger puncher or puncher with a granite chin. He will reject and would be risky that Crawford will sit on his shot to try KO.

Tony Bellews Bold KO Prediction for Dubois vs Wardley 2: Yep, I Said It

Tony Bellew's Bold KO Prediction for Dubois vs Wardley 2: "Yep, I Said It"

Tony Bellew is going against the grain for tonight’s Daniel Dubois vs Fabio Wardley rematch.

The pair meet again just five months on from their thrilling first encounter, with Dubois now WBO champion having won the belt from Wardley via eleventh round stoppage.

After surviving two early knockdowns, the Londoner – who is now in his second stint as heavyweight titlist – took over the contest with a solid jab setting up thudding attacks that exhausted Wardley.

Though the Ipswich man stayed on his feet throughout, referee Howard Foster waved it off as the punishment because too much.

It is how the fight ended, and those last few rounds in which Dubois was largely dominating, that make him a strong favourite to retain his belt.

Giving his prediction to the BBCformer cruiserweight world champion Bellew backed Wardley to have success early again, but capitalise fully this time and end it.

“I’m going to be the difference. I am going to back Fabio Wardley by knockout within six rounds. Yep, I said [it]. I’m going for Fab within six.”

Dubois was on the canvas within ten seconds last time out, and took a knee in the third when hurt again.

Bellew has questioned Dubois’ resolve in the past, pointing to his stoppage loss to Joe Joyce as proof that there is a point he can be pushed to that he is not willing to go beyond. Many, however, will look to the first Wardley performance and disagree.

Both men recorded the highest weights of their careers on the scalessuggesting that neither will be changing the gameplan to a more measured affair, rather looking to engage in round 13 from the off tonight at London’s O2.

Peter Fury Shares Final Thoughts on Daniel Dubois vs Fabio Wardley 2: I Still Think That

Peter Fury Shares Final Thoughts on Daniel Dubois vs Fabio Wardley 2: "I Still Think That"

Top trainer Peter Fury has offered his expert analysis on the rematch between Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley, believing it is still a 50/50 fight.

Others, meanwhile, will argue that Dubois should be made a considerable favourite, based on how he was able to dismantle Wardley in their first encounter.

In order to do so, the ‘Dynamite’ puncher was compelled to climb off the canvas in rounds one and three, having been put down by blows to the top of his head.

Proceedings then became a little one-sided as Dubois, utilising his fundamentals, managed to score an 11th-round finish with his thudding jab and superior footwork.

Wardley, however, wasted little time before activating the rematch clause in their contract and, in turn, securing the chance to reclaim his WBO title at London’s O2 Arena tomorrow evening.

Many will argue that such a swift turnaround could lead to his downfall while, due to his power and toughness, others would suggest that the 31-year-old is always dangerous, no matter the opponent standing across from him.

As such, coach Fury has told Boxing King Media that, while Dubois is rightfully brimming with confidence, it would be foolish to entirely dismiss Wardley’s attributes.

“I think it’s a great heavyweight fight – Dubois has got heavy hands and a good jab as well, so it’ll be interesting.

“You’ve got to say Wardley’s got it all to do, because the confidence of Dubois will be high. And if Dubois’ super confident, he’s a problem.

“But let’s see – Wardley was able to hurt Dubois early on. I still think that fight is a 50/50 fight.”

If he emerges victorious against Wardley, then Dubois will likely be targeting a unification match with Agit Kabayel or Filip Hrgovic in 2027.
