Published

Pat McCormack took up a card at Rainton Meadows Arena in Houghton-le-Spring, and the local boy was impressed when he forced Miguel Parry to retire before the tenth and last round in the eliminator for the WBA weight title.
McCormack took a massive step in pursuit of world glory against Miguel Parr
2020 Olympic silver medalist McCormack (8-0, KO6) had three times Robbie Davies, before he forced retirement after six rounds in the last case in February, while Parra Mexico (25-6-1, KO17) went to Spain to force Nestor Gonzalez to retire after three rounds in July.
McCormack started working well and impressively after his stab, and at the same time he was a solid combination in the second round.
McCormack was content being a central ring, and his right hand was constantly finding a sign, and Parra tried the most complex, but tried to put any real influence.
The guest shook briefly in fifth place and sent signals of anxiety to his corner, and McCormack landed more and more malicious shots, although McCormack was managed at the next point to get a low blow, and frustration was created when the Mexican did not get a abutment in the competition.

McCormack landed with his right right hand, which stunned Parra in seventh place, but he kept heavily, but the pattern was set early, and McCormack pressed the stop, pouring pressure on the penultimate frame.
A constant robbery at the end of the round meant that Parra did not go to the last session, and the fight was over.
Mark Dickinson vs Troy Williamson
Mark Dickinson (8-2, KO2) lost his English title of super medium medium weight on the scales, when he arrived in a huge overweight five pounds for the start of Troy Williamson (21-4-1, KO15), and paid a lot when Williamson wore him to win in the ninth round to get the belt.
It was an absorbing fight with the action at the front, and dickinson disappearing, the left hook, and then the stunning straight right, he had a strongly Dickinson and although he defeated the count, the brisk attack as follows that the judge came to the end.

Other card
The former world champion of Sandy Ryan (8-3-1, KO3) returned after defeats with Mikaela Mayer, and she dominated her ten-year-in-legs against Jade Grierson (5-1-1, KO2), winning points.
Ryan worked out the opponent of the game and left Victor through the results 100-90, 99-91 and 98-92.
In the only eight round of Cameron Vuong (9-0, KO4) he won all available sessions against Reuquen Cona Facundo Arce (18-21-2, KO7) at a lithe level, and then made a war of words with the former British champion Gavin Gwynne on Ringside.

In the only six times in Bantamweight Tiah Mai Ayton (2-0, KO2) Lydie Bialic (3-4-1, KO1) dropped twice on the road to win in the fourth round.
In four rounds, the heavyweight perspective Leo Atang (2-0, KO2) needed less than a round to remove Cristian Uwaka (1-6-1, KO1), with the guest twice before he was detained, and the debutant in the weight of the cruiser Bradley (1-0, KO0) placed Goran Kozul (5-8, KO2) in the opening round and once in the opening round and once in the opening round and once in the opening round and once in the opening round round round and once in a round round. Success 40-34.

The 18-year-old novice Bantameight Adam Maca (2-0, KO2) had an impressive victory in the final round with Francisco Rodriguez (1-22, KO1), with the Spaniard, before his corner threw the towel.

Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez became a three-weight world champion in Arizona, winning the WBA bantamweight title with a dominant sixth-round knockout of Antonio Vargas.
Rodriguez (24-0, KO17) was previously a flyweight and super flyweight world champion and last dropped in November 2025, defeating Fernando Martinez in ten rounds to defend his WBC and WBO super flyweight crowns.
Vargas (19-2-1 KO11) won the WBA interim belt in 2024 and was promoted to full champion, but his first defense in Japan ended in a draw last July when he and Daigo Higa could not be separated.
Rodriguez used his speed and legs to get off to a good start on this one, his jab went well and he also had a nice uppercut that landed on target.
Vargas wobbled in the second, a powerful left hand did damage, and Rodriguez also unloaded with huge shots.
Vargas fired back and the combination landed at the end of the frame.
Vargas had a solid third, with his own head and body landing combinations, but Bam came back, supporting Vargas in the fourth and forcing the champion to take some punches.
This marked the beginning of the enda powerful left hand dropped Vargas in the fifth throw, and Vargas was now in survival mode, landing another uppercut before boldly ending the round.
In the sixth, it was over, a huge left hand rocking Vargas and a right-left combination, leaving Vargas on his knees and then on his back for a countout.

Elif Nur Turhan vs. Gabriela Tellez
On the card, Elif Nur Turhan (14-0, KO8) defended her IBF lightweight title, but had to work tough before scoring against Gabriela Tellez (7-1, KO3).
Three scores of 96-94 ensured that the Turkish woman retained her crown.

Undercard remaining
Arturo Cardenas (18-0-2, KO9) defended his WBC Continental Americas super bantamweight title, defeating Jordan Martinez (16-1-1, KO15) in ten rounds.
The scores of 100-90, 98-92 and 97-93 sealed the victory for Cardenas.
Elias Montoya Terraza (14-0, KO9) won the undefeated lightweight fight, defeating Adrian Rodriguez (10-1, KO6) by stoppage in the second round.
In eight-round fights, Ronny Alvarez (7-0, KO6) defeated Filip Stankovic (9-4, KO6) in the seventh round, and Trini Ochoa (22-1, KO10) defeated Cristian Perez (12-5-1, KO7) in the second round in the super lightweight category.

Hector Beltran (8-0, KO6) defeated Shaquile Felicia (3-2, KO1) in the second round in the super welterweight fight, and Xechal Esquiviel (6-0, KO5) knocked out Rayshawn Taylor (1-2-1, KO1) in the featherweight fight.

Eddie Hearn responds to Dana White about Joshua-Fury

June 12, 2026
Eddie Hearn has once again insisted that Dana White will not be involved in promoting the Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury match.
Joshua, who has been promoted by Hearn’s Matchroom since his debut, has signed a contract to fight Fury, with their long-awaited heavyweight fight expected to take place in November.
Hearn claims the contract stipulates that White’s Zuffa Boxing – which is partly owned by Saudi Arabia’s Seli – will not be allowed to play any role in the superfight, even though the UFC boss has promised to promote it.
White doubled down on these comments when pressed Professional boxing fans following his inaugural appearance at British Zuffa in Bournemouth on Saturday.
“Do you think I would lie in public and make myself look like an idiot in front of everyone?” – said the 56-year-old.
“Do you believe I would do that?
“What would be the point?
“Call Eddie now and ask if he knows where the fight is.
“Call Eddie and ask who negotiated the contract for this fight.”
Hearn and White have been embroiled in a public feud since the latter stole Hearn’s prized acquisition, Conor Benn, from Zuffa.
The Matchroom chairman slammed his promotional rival, claiming White played no role in the negotiations and it was agreed that the fight would take place in the UK.
“Dana White had nothing to do with the fight negotiations,” Hearn said IFLTV.
“It was agreed between me, Sela and the entire legal team there.

“He talked to [Saudi Arabian boxing chief] Turki Alalshikh and told him that he should play with Fury against AJ in Las Vegas.
“There is a very clear clause in the contract that Zuffa, Dana White, TKO or anyone associated with them cannot participate in the program.
“The second thing that is in the contract was at the request of Anthony Joshua and me [Matchroom] the fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury must take place in the UK.”
Earlier this week, Boxing Scene reported that SoFi Stadium in California was being considered as a potential venue for the fight.
Hearn said the location was in Alalshikh’s hands and the contract would have to be renegotiated if the deal went to the US.
“If they want to renegotiate the contract, sign the contract again,” he added.
“We can look into it.

“But we agreed to this fight, we signed a contract for this fight, the biggest fight in the history of British boxing, because we want this fight to take place in the UK.”
Joshua will return for the first time since then knocking out Jake Paul in December, when he will face Kristian Prenga on July 25 in Riyad.
The 36-year-old took a break from boxing after he was involved in a horrific car crash 10 days later that killed two of his close friends and left him with minor injuries.
The two-time world heavyweight champion returned to a training camp in Spain with former rival turned stablemate Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury, who retired in April to beat Arslanbek Makhmudov, is also expected to fight before fighting “AJ” in August.

Lerrone Richards files appeal following controversial defeat of Albert Ramirez

Lerrone Richards has filed an appeal with the WBA following his controversial loss to Albert Ramirez last Thursday in Canada.
Richards was defeated by a controversial split decision over Ramirez in their fight for the interim WBA delicate heavyweight title in Montreal, sparking widespread outrage on social media.
33-year-old said he intended to appeal the result, and his S-JAM Boxing management team filed an appeal to the WBA on Tuesday.
The British team hopes that the result will be annulled and an immediate rematch ordered.
said Archie Slaymaker, Boxing Operations Manager at S-JAM Boxing proboxing-fans.com on Thursday: “The appeal was sent to the WBA on Tuesday afternoon with the hope that the result of last Thursday’s fight would be invalidated and an immediate rematch would be ordered.
“We all look forward to hearing the outcome of the appeal in due course.”
“Sniper The Boss” admitted that he was devastated by the result, which resulted in him losing the chance to fight delicate heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol.
The southpaw suffered his second loss in three fights, stopped by Steed Woodall in 2024, and called for “justice” after the defeat.
“When I read the result, I was devastated,” Richards said proboxing-fans.com.

“I went back to the locker room and honestly, I broke down and cried.
“I am a winner. Being robbed like this is devastating.
A fair outcome would be for this decision to be overturned, and if not overturned, for it to be deemed a default or not, and Ramirez and I would reverse it.
“I leave this to the team and hopefully we will have news within the next week or two.”
“There should be no dispute.
“There shouldn’t be any controversy.
You should just give me victory, give me what I worked tough for, give me what I deserve.
“I want justice.”
