Amir Khan gives the advice of Moses Itum on Oleksandr Usyk with two words of checking reality
Published
10 months agoon
Moses Itauma should continue to constantly build his journey through the ranks of heavyweight, and not risk that he is hurt, taking part in a duel with Oleksandr Usyk “Too Early”, according to the former united world champion, lightweight, Amir Khan.
Chatham Southpaw Ituma extended his excellent record through 13 professional fights with the impressive knockout of the British rival Dillian Whyte in Riyadh on Saturday.
The destructive performance of the 20-year-old towards the former heavyweight champion WBC Whyte, 37-year-old, Tyson Fury claimed that Ituma would defeat the unquestioned heavyweight champion Usyk.
Itauma, however, talked about calling the Ukrainian in his comments after the fight, instead focusing on such competitions Agit Kabayel or Joseph Parker, who is a momentary champion of WBO, and then in a queue to a shot in Uyk.
38 -year -old Khan became a professional after he won the silver medal at the 2004 Olympic Games, he continues to unite his own division – and believes that “time will come” Ituma “if he takes the situation under the watchful eye of the Queensberry promoter Frank Warren.
“He fought like an average weight, and even delicate with movement and speed, as he quickly cast these shots, they were all so pristine and right,” said Khan’s Press Agency.
“He was very balanced, he was serene and gathered. The guy would go far, and when you see such talents, you think” amazing “. I know that Frank is constantly promoting him in the right way, and will also lead the right fights at the right time.
“I know that people talk about Uyk, but I think it is definitely too early, because he will eventually be hurt. You don’t want such a failure because you’ll never be the same warrior again.
“Usyk is a peak, or maybe one of the best in history, from heavyweight, so he (Warren) cannot really put it in the great, but his time will come.
“At the moment I think that someone like Parker would be a great move or (Filip) Hrgovic who just won. These are fighters who he must fight, maybe to take these steps instead of taking gigantic steps.”
Khan added: “Imagine that I won this title of Commonwealth (Lightweight) (in 2007) that they put me straight in the fight for the title of world champion with someone like Tim Bradley or Devon Alexander – I wasn’t ready for it.
“Although I would say that I would jump with them on the ring – because at this age you want to go to the ring with everyone and everyone – but you must be intelligent and I am sure that Ituma has a good team around him.”
Khan’s AK Promotions Company cooperates with the Balmoral Group Promotions is the stage of “Chaos in the ring” in Lagos in Nigeria on October 1, in which Rocky Fieldingon’s return against Brandon Glanton, as well as Dan Azeez and Elvis Ahorgah.
“We are opening a up-to-date door. Africa is a country where no one did, and we were the first to go,” said Khan, who also promoted the program in Ghana in June, when the weight of the cruiser Andrew Tabiti stopped his favorite Jacob Dickson at home.
“You have many great fighters from Nigeria, so I’m sure they will want to come and show support in this event.”
