The case of domestic violence against Master WBA Lightweight Gervonta Davis was abandoned.
According to the office of the Miami-Dade clerk, the Davis battery fee resulting from the alleged home dispute with his ex-girlfriend on Father’s Day was formally released on Tuesday morning after the woman refused to prosecute the boxette.
“This case was abandoned when the victim refuses to prosecute according to his victim’s lawyer, Lindsey Chase, ESQ. And her sentiments, which we directly confirmed by the assistant of the state prosecutor in which the prosecutor’s office,” said TMZ Sports Bureau of State Miami-Dade. “The witness of the incident, which is the mother of the victim, did not cooperate and did not disappoint, after calling for a pre -rendered conference on Thursday 8/7. Davis was arrested in Miami Beach, transported to the Doraal Police Department and took place at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on July 11. He was released later that day from $ 10,000 bonds.
According to the police report obtained by ESPN, Davis’s former girlfriend told the police that she was involved in a verbal dispute with a boxer in “personal matters and Gervont about uncertainty about the sexuality of their son.”
Davis arrived at his residence at 17:04 ET on June 15 to pick up his children when the situation escalated. After putting both children in Davis’ car, she accused Davis’s hitting her “at the back of the head with a closed fist” and hit her in the face.
