Bob Arum, a top -class supervisor, participated in the win of Mikaeli Mayer over Sandy Ryan in a rematch and spent a few minutes talking about the fight against Hub about his thoughts about entering boxing, the current status of Vasiliy Lomachenko and the exhaust network of his company from ESPN. Check some fragments below.
Arum at the entrance of the TKO to the boxing space
“They have a real problem because their great business is UFC, and when UFC children see how little you get against what boxers get, and if it comes from the same company, Dana has full hands.
“They are not excessive bags, but there are many more than UFC people and how do you think they feel?”
About his readiness to work with other companies
“We have to take care of our fighters. We have PBCs with whom we fight … We never have a problem with working with another company. We have always fought with Oxar and his company, so I see no problem.”
On the TKO supposedly willingly “take over” boxing
“Yes, everyone says when they come to boxing, they want to take over it. Again, I am an aged man and I have been here for many, many years and I hope that I will be here for several years and I do not take these comments seriously.”
In the place where things stand with Vasiliy Lomachenko
“We are waiting to receive medical reports, and we will inform everyone … This is not his decision, it really is whether he is physical to do the way he wants and the way he wants, and this is not something of your will – what you are. You have to see how bad it is.
If they were to fight the tank, if Lomachenko is fighting again
“I don’t know, let’s see how you are.
For an expirying contract with ESPN and where they will go from here
“I think we will be stronger than ever, we will have more events than ever, but I want to say that eight years we had with ESPN …[Editor’s note: Arum didn’t finish this thought as he was interrupted by Mikaela Mayer but he was presumably going to say they’ve been great times.]”
