Xander Zayas wins WBO title

Xander Zayas arrived. At the age of only 22, another star Puerto Rico captured her first world championship title with the dominant performance over the robust Mexican contender Jorge Garcia in Madison Square Garden.

Zayas (22-0, 13 KO) was too acute, too swift and too composed when he won a unanimous decision from the results of 116-112, 118-110 and 119-109 to get the Crown WBO Super certainty.

In the face of a perilous hit in Garcia (33-5, 26 KO), who shocked the world with his knockout Charles Conwell in April, Zayas never lost his concentration.

Dominant performance at MSG

Garcia came to beating, swinging with a reckless intention, but Zayas chose his arrows, used the stab and gradually spread it.

The favorite before the fight looked on the first five rounds and seemed focused on the laser victory. In the sixth round, both men traded in the middle of the ring, drawing roars from the crowd, but Zayas never allowed the fight to get out of his control.

His time, leg work and composure turned out to be too much for Garcia on the section.

Zayas moved his runs in overdue rounds, recommending Garcia with acute meters and staying away from danger when he closed the program like an experienced master.

Mikey Williams

“ Make your dreams come true ”

In his interview after the fight, the up-to-date master said: “This is the fulfillment of dreams-boxing 101.

“I had to pack my way to victory. I knew that if I stand in front of him, I was fighting his fight. Jab was the key to victory and we showed it today.

“It’s a dream come true. Seeing my fans of Puerto Rican here, it’s amazing. I could never dream of anything better.”

With the victory, Zayas becomes the youngest world champion in sport, placing him on a swift track.

Possible unification is fighting on the horizon before the end of the year, and the ruler of WBC Sebastian Fundor is the main goal.
