Oleksandr Usyk was ordered to defend his WBO weight crown before Joseph Parker – or face the perspective of a prestigious belt. Ukrainian secured the undisputed heavyweight supremacy for the second occasion after his destructive victory over Daniel Dubois before 90,000 viewers at the Wembley stadium last weekend.
Usyk dominated the proceedings from the opening bell to the last moment. Although “Triple D” enjoyed a fleeting success during the competition, “Kot” quickly ended matters in the fifth round. Usyk sleeping a British warrior with a crushing right hook and against expectations, Dubois managed to make a canvas, but after the end of a moments later, when the Ukrainian released a precise left hand.
After the second triumph over the British, Utyk received a fairly definite directive from WBO. The sanctioning organization ordered the two unquestioned master to place the title on the Parker line.
In the correspondence sent to both camps, WBO stated: “Gentlemen: Please inform that the WBO World Championship Committee hereby requires the start of negotiations between fighters to be released in order to release the obligatory obligation to defend the title.
“Pursuant to this order, the Parties have thirty (30) days after the issue of this letter to achieve the conditions. The lack of this will cause that this Committee requires the procedure in the bidding of the handbag in accordance with the WBO provisions regarding the world championship competitions. The minimum offer in the heavyweight section is one million dollars ($ 1,000,000). Each of the party can call the ticket in at any time.
“Finally, WBO reserves the right to issue any further judgments considered necessary, helpful and convenient to achieve the goals, principles and intentions of WBO principles, including interests that best serve boxing, and the WBO hefty unit. Do not hesitate to contact the WBO headquarters if you have any questions or fears.”
If Usyk decides not to face the Parker, he will be forced to give in to the WBO belt – or a face without a face.
Immediately after Saturday night, boxing promoter Frank Warren revealed his desire to see Usyk to Parker, while confirming that Tyson Fury asked for a third meeting with the Ukrainian.
When he asked about which competition would prefer to witness the next one for Utyk, Warren said his press conference after the fight: ” [Usyk’s] The first defense of his title is the WBO belt, which will be against Joe Parker. Yes, there would be a great fight.
“I mean that I would like Joe Parker to fight. Joe deserves it. He takes himself, just like Daniel, and this is the fight that was ordered. So in this way whether it will happen or Joe will fight for a free title. Tyson expressed me very clear to me. [Usyk] Fight, he would like to make this fight and it would be a great fight. “
The Modern Zealand warrior enjoys an unusual form, defeating Deontay Wilder, Zhilei Zhang and Martin Bakole in a row. Parker’s coach, Andy Lee, recently revealed that his allegation has tools to surprise against the Ukrainian master and outlined their tactical preparations.
“What we are working on in the gym is ready all the time and body language in the ring and keeping your feet in a position where you are always ready to hit,” Lee explained at the Ariel X Ade show. “If you rest and take a break, you don’t show it. You look like you are ready to attack and you are ready to hit. Basically, we do it and it does it Usyk.
“Usyk feeds the intervals of the opponent. When they want to take this diminutive change, he will attack them. He can press, press, pressure, feint with his magical wand with his right hand and simply burns them. They are mentally exhausted as physically as physically. And then, when he wants to rest, he can move, immerse and dive under the bodies of large guys.”
When is the next fight Oleksandr Usyk?
Usyk planned to take a break for the rest of the year to recover and spend time with his family before he considers his next movement in the boxing ring. Thinking about his age after the fight against Dubois, Usyk said: “38 is a newborn guy, remember! 38 This is just the beginning!
“I want to thank Jesus Christ. I want to thank my team and Wembley, thank you very much! It’s for people. Nothing next. It’s enough, I don’t know. I want to rest. My family, my wife, my children, I want to rest now. Two or three months, I just want to rest.”
In addition, he suggested potential future opponents, saying: “Maybe Tyson Fury. Maybe we have three options, Derek Chisora and Anthony Joshua. Maybe Joseph Parker. Listen, I can’t say now because I want to go home.”

Skye Nicolson came close to winning the world featherweight title with a dominant points win over Mariah Turner in Melbourne on Wednesday.
Nicolson (16-1, 3 KO) defended her interim WBC featherweight crown, winning every round against Turner (12-2, 6 KO) at The Melbourne Pavilion.
Nicolson’s excellent boxing skills were on display from the first round, keeping her opponent at bay from her probing jab.
The 30-year-old southpaw, who won the interim belt in December with a unanimous decision victory over Yuliahn Luna Avila, bloodied Turner’s nose in the third round after a series of successful left hands.
The former featherweight world champion rocked her opponent with a straight left hand in the sixth gesture, but the “Golden Girl” responded with a left hook of her own, sending Nicolson falling to the ropes.
Nicolson returned to boxing backwards in the seventh round and circumscribed her opponent’s success.
Turner’s nose remained bloody over the last few rounds, and the 31-year-old was unable to make up the loss.
The Novel Zealander’s suffering deepened in the final round when she was deducted a point for using her head.
Three scores of 90-89 confirmed the victory of Nicolson, who announced a fight with the undisputed super bantamweight champion, Ellie Scotney after the fight.

Details on the date and number of Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua fights made available

Tyson Fury’s promoter Frank Warren believes his fight with Anthony Joshua will break records, but he also revealed that the two fighters are only expected to step in the ring together once.
The two British boxing heroes will finally clash later this year, with the fight expected to take place in the UK around October. Warren showed up Sun‘s Corner Talk show to discuss the blockbuster fight and believes it’s only six months away. He said: “Tyson signed the contract a few months ago. He’s registered and ready to go. We thought AJ had signed the contract but he didn’t. But now we’ve been told he has.
“I would be thinking about October because it’s starting to get too frosty to build a football stadium in the UK.
“I think it will be a huge fight because of the fighters involved, the money they generate and how long people have been waiting for it.”
Warren predicted that the fight would likely take place at Wembley Stadium and would break box office records for any fight. He added: “I think it will be a gigantic, gigantic fight and it may turn out to be the biggest one.
“Wembley’s biggest gate right now is Tyson and Dillian Whyte, who have broken every box office record for any type of event.
“There is a lot of demand for this one, so if it goes to Wembley I will be surprised if it doesn’t break the record.”
The promoter also confirmed that Fury vs. Joshua is a one-fight deal at the moment, but things could change depending on the outcome. He said: “I have no idea what AJ is getting. We thought he had signed a contract and that we would announce the fight after Tyson’s last fight in the ring in Tottenham. But it turns out he hasn’t actually signed a contract.
“But now his warm-up has been announced, I’m sure everything is signed. And I’m sure there won’t be any slip-up.
“Right now it’s a one-fight deal.”
