Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano must be suspended after the third and final fight
Published
10 months agoon
Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano must serve the mandatory suspension after the fight against the trilogy. The Irish boxing legend, triumphant in previous meetings, won the majority after the tactical fight in Fresh York Garden Madison Square Garden.
Two judges won the fight 97-93 in favor of Taylor, while the competition was too close to call the third judge who won him 95-95 after 10 rounds. After the fight, the 39 -year -old Taylor ruled out the fourth meeting with Serrano when she talked about her great respect for Puerto Rican. Taylor said: “I don’t know, I just don’t want to fight Amanda Serrano again. It strikes too demanding. I have a huge mass of respect for Amanda, he is such a warrior. He is elated to share the ring with her. We have created a story three times. We are the creators of history forever.”
Taylor added: “I thought the boxing was very shrewd, she wasn’t able to catch me tonight. But he is always close to Amanda.”
Serrano, now with three paralysis at Taylor’s hands of her four professional losses, regretted that she could not secure victory, despite her work plan “wiser and not more tough.” The 36-year-old said: “We tried to stay with long blows and one two, and it just wasn’t enough.”
The couple will now enjoy the rest period, the initial part of which is enforced in accordance with the principles of the Fresh York Sports Committee, whose rules fought. The Commission dictates that they cannot fight again for at least a week, which of course would not happen. The couple served for longer 30 days after the previous fight in Dallas, which was taken as part of the Licensing and Registration Department in Texas.
The rules are specified by: “No licensed professional sports participant will be able to participate in any sports match or exhibition in this state, until at least seven days passed since his last match or exhibition.
“No licensed combat sports participant will compete in any sports duel or exhibition within seven days of competition in such a match or exhibition in this state.”
Taylor won in the great Apple three years ago, before he overtook Serrano in Texas last year. But after two snails, the third fight did not meet expectations because it entered a tactical battle.
Many rounds could go both ways, when the fight built a tense culmination, Serrano walks forward and forcing Taylor to the corner in the fifth round, but the master fought. Taylor was marked in eighth place, but turned to the last two rounds to secure the sentence.
Elsewhere on the Ellie Scotney card she ended her six -year reign of Mexican Yamileth Mercado as a world champion of Super Bantamiegh WBC with a unanimous sentence. The 27-year-old from Catford added the title of WBC to her IBF and WBO crowns with a decision 100-90, 98-82 and 98-82.
Savannah Marshall was disappointed when she lost a sturdy fight for IBF and WBO Super Middle Wweight to American Shadasia Green about a divided decision. One judge awarded the fight 96-93 Marshall, who returned to the ring after two years of absence, but Green received a verdict 95-94 and 96-93 by other judges, despite deduction for possession.

Skye Nicolson came close to winning the world featherweight title with a dominant points win over Mariah Turner in Melbourne on Wednesday.
Nicolson (16-1, 3 KO) defended her interim WBC featherweight crown, winning every round against Turner (12-2, 6 KO) at The Melbourne Pavilion.
Nicolson’s excellent boxing skills were on display from the first round, keeping her opponent at bay from her probing jab.
The 30-year-old southpaw, who won the interim belt in December with a unanimous decision victory over Yuliahn Luna Avila, bloodied Turner’s nose in the third round after a series of successful left hands.
The former featherweight world champion rocked her opponent with a straight left hand in the sixth gesture, but the “Golden Girl” responded with a left hook of her own, sending Nicolson falling to the ropes.
Nicolson returned to boxing backwards in the seventh round and circumscribed her opponent’s success.
Turner’s nose remained bloody over the last few rounds, and the 31-year-old was unable to make up the loss.
The Novel Zealander’s suffering deepened in the final round when she was deducted a point for using her head.
Three scores of 90-89 confirmed the victory of Nicolson, who announced a fight with the undisputed super bantamweight champion, Ellie Scotney after the fight.

Teremon is attacked by Tupou
Teremoana Teremoana defeated Bowie Tupou in the first round, remaining excellent in the heavyweight division.
Teremoana (11-0, 11 KO) landed a brutal uppercut that knocked Tupou’s (29-8, 20 KO) head back, and another right hand sent him to the canvas.

Wylie stops Zalewski
Jake Wylie survived a major scare before stopping Miles Zalewski in the second round of their lightweight fight.
Zalewski (12-4, 10 KO), after an almost three-year break, looked like he was in trouble in the first round, knocked down by a series of shots.

The Novel Zealander fired back in the second round, knocking Wyllie (19-2-1, 17 KO) to his feet with a robust attack.
However, there was no fairy-tale comeback for the 36-year-old, who was weakened later in the round and another attack resulted in the referee’s intervention.
Hussain pushes past Hunt
Benjamin Hussain came off the deck and passed Andrew Hunt by split decision.
Hunt (11-1-1, 6 KO) stopped Hussain (14-2, 8 KO) in the third round, but “The Hype Beast” rallied in a pulsating fight to capture the vacant IBF Inter-Continental super welterweight title with two scores of 95-94 to overturn the 95-94 score in Hunt’s favor.

Details on the date and number of Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua fights made available

Tyson Fury’s promoter Frank Warren believes his fight with Anthony Joshua will break records, but he also revealed that the two fighters are only expected to step in the ring together once.
The two British boxing heroes will finally clash later this year, with the fight expected to take place in the UK around October. Warren showed up Sun‘s Corner Talk show to discuss the blockbuster fight and believes it’s only six months away. He said: “Tyson signed the contract a few months ago. He’s registered and ready to go. We thought AJ had signed the contract but he didn’t. But now we’ve been told he has.
“I would be thinking about October because it’s starting to get too frosty to build a football stadium in the UK.
“I think it will be a huge fight because of the fighters involved, the money they generate and how long people have been waiting for it.”
Warren predicted that the fight would likely take place at Wembley Stadium and would break box office records for any fight. He added: “I think it will be a gigantic, gigantic fight and it may turn out to be the biggest one.
“Wembley’s biggest gate right now is Tyson and Dillian Whyte, who have broken every box office record for any type of event.
“There is a lot of demand for this one, so if it goes to Wembley I will be surprised if it doesn’t break the record.”
The promoter also confirmed that Fury vs. Joshua is a one-fight deal at the moment, but things could change depending on the outcome. He said: “I have no idea what AJ is getting. We thought he had signed a contract and that we would announce the fight after Tyson’s last fight in the ring in Tottenham. But it turns out he hasn’t actually signed a contract.
“But now his warm-up has been announced, I’m sure everything is signed. And I’m sure there won’t be any slip-up.
“Right now it’s a one-fight deal.”
