Ricky Hatton Comeback 2025

The British boxing legend Ricky Hatton officially confirmed the return to the ring of December 2 in Dubai, marking the next chapter in his extraordinary journey after retirement.

The 47-year-old former world champion, who recently jerked gloves for the exhibition against Marco Antonio Barrera in 2022, says that he decided to fight with full brightness, self-awareness and goal again.

A few hours after the announcement of Hatton said World Boxing News only that the competition will be a full professional return to “only one night”.

Confirmation led to the fears of some fans with Hatton’s long -term health, if it still returns at a later age.

Hatton Allays, fear

“Just a quick statement of how excited I am to put on gloves again on December 2 in Dubai,” said Hatton.

“A few years ago I always spoke after the exhibition against Marco, if another opportunity appeared, I would always look at it and weigh the advantages and disadvantages.

“I did and this is a good and reasonable fight for me.”

Hatton clearly stated that there are no illusions about the level at which it works, hence he will face Eisa Aldah (8-3, 4 KO), which is also 46 years ancient.

“I am 47 years ancient – like my opponent – I am not 58 years ancient. I am not going straight into the fight for the title of world champion or compete at the world level. I know that I am not at the world level anymore. But I am common to know what fights are good for me and what fights are outside me.”

The former featherlight and welterweight master emphasized the importance of motivation-for physical health as well as mental well-being.

“No matter how ancient we have in our lives, we still have goals, ambitions, goals to set ourselves. We still have to have a reason to get up in the morning. Nobody more than me – for my way of thinking and mental health. There is a very good reason to give me concentration and maintain health, not the opposite.”

“That’s what we are doing.”

Hatton also pointed to the growing list of veterans still dynamic in sport.

“Why did Mike Tyson fight again? Why is Manny Pacquiao fight again? Why is Paulie Malignaggi fight again (pigeon)? Why is Shane Mosley fighting again? We are fighters-to what we do.”

Hatton will be 47 years ancient before the first bell rangs. The favorite of Manchester fans says he is ready for the camp and “show a show again”.

“The fight is still at all, but I can’t wait to go back to the training camp, train tough and feel good – if I have my whole life. I can’t wait to introduce the program again for everyone.

“I appreciate people’s fears, but please, trust me – I feel great and it will be nothing else for me. Love, Ricky. X”

Hatton’s return in Dubai adds another chapter to the growing wave of boxers from the elderly, which find the renovated goal through carefully selected return.

Hatton is not about belts or rankings – it’s about doing what warriors do.
