Promoter Lou Dibella questioned the arrest time. Chavez was in the media during the Fight Week in California before he lost the unanimous decision of YouTuber Paul.
Hall of Famer Dibella said: “They say he is a partner of the cartel, but they allow him together and promote an event worth many millions of dollars.
“After he appeared, he made a bag and was in the media, working here, and then they fall and deport. I can’t make up for it,” said Up-to-date Yorker.
The arrest causes further uncertainty of Chavez after his recent defeat with Paul and can complicate all future licenses in the USA.
