Sugar Ray Leonard stopped for a compact conversation this week, when the boxing legend sailed near his home in Los Angeles.
The 69-year-old was as kind as always after he turned to the conversation, which quickly opened with Manny Pacquiao.
Interviewer, representing YouTube channel fighhype.comI tried to get something juicy so that the fans could sink their teeth.
However, Ray had other ideas and did not reveal too much. He spoke a little about Pacquiao and gave several super compact answers to Canelo vs. Crawford.
Here’s how the discussion has fallen:
FH: What do you think about Manny Pacquiao returns to boxing?
SRL: “Pretty, I haven’t seen any clips of his training, but I guarantee you that he will be ready.
“You know, I had many reasons.”
FH: How do you think he will perform in the ring at the age of 46?
SRL: “It depends entirely on the individual. It’s a head and a heart. Be an optimist, but reality finds its way.
“It is extremely critical that the mind is there. It must feel it, and this is what I cannot describe. It is from the inside.
Premiere of boxers
FH: What should manny Pacquiao expect with a newborn guy and how should he react?
SRL: “He will know after the first hit, like (me) from Tommy Harris, he hits like a mule. It’s about the first blow.
“You don’t think about how ancient you are. I’m 69 years ancient. It’s in your head again and my heart; I can’t say enough time.
FH: What do you think about Canelo vs crawford?
SRL: “I watch it.”
FH: What do you think about Canelo, saying that Crawford is better than Mayweather?
SRL: “They must prove it.”
The meeting lasted only a few minutes, but it was great to see how Ray looked so good in his senior years.
WBN talked to Ray in 2015 for an in -depth conversation, which remains available on the website.
His boxing knowledge is to be admired because he still enjoys interest in sport and is well oriented on the main players.
Sugar Ray Leonard is a truly royal box and one of the last other stars from the tardy seventies to the tardy 1980s.
