A delicate heavyweight clash between the former two-level world champion David Morrell and the Bronze Olympic medalist 2020 Imam Khataev did not arouse much interest in fans of their 10-Rund fight on July 12 at Queens, Fresh York.

Morrell vs Khataev: Most fight

Low place for Undercard Edgar Berlanga vs. Hamzah Sheeraz and Shakur Stevenson vs. William Zepeda happened to the fight of Morrell-Khataeva, which was overlooked by fans. The fight is below cards. The event will be shown at Dazn PPV from the Louis Armstrong stadium at Queens, Fresh York.

As for the entertainment value, Morrell vs. Khataev should be the card factor on July 12, because he promises that he will have more fans-friendly action than the Stevenson-Zepeda fight. Shakur star, Shakur, will run all night from Zepeda and will not be as intriguing for fans as the clash of Morrell-Khataev.

Morrell’s Benavidez Falout

Morrell (11-1, 9 KO) wants to reflect from the 12-round unanimous decision defeat with David Benavidez on February 1. He must show up in the fight against the unbeaten delicate pretender for heavyweight Khataev (10-0, 9 Kos), whom he learned after Benavidez’s defeat. Morrell made mistakes in this fight, not letting his hands go away, standing flat, floating in front of Tom Puncher Benaviez and fighting with the strings.

Despite its loss, Morrell is high at 2 #2 WBA, No. 2 WBC and #3 WBO. This fight with Khataev is necessary for 27 -year -old Cuban Morrell to show that he has a talent for being the best warrior at the age of 175. He has youth, but the mental disadvantages he showed against Benavidez could stop him if he is unable to learn from them.

Khataev: Next Artur Beterbiev?

30 -year -old Russian khataev is seen by some as the next one Artur Beterbiev With massive hands, a volume of volume and carefree pressure, which he exerts on opponents. Khataev has for him this style of Beterbaiew, which can be a nightmare for Morrell, unless he can box and move the way Ben Whitaker did in his three round victory over him in 2021. Morrell has an advantage over Khataev, but he can’t match his production.

Since the transformation of Pro in 2021, Khataev faced a indigent opposition and defeated everyone except one. It takes #6 ibf, #8 wbc, #10 wba and #15 wbo. This is a large step so that Khataev faces Morrell after 10 low -level fighters of his promoters matched him, but he has amateur experience to win this fight. As an amateur, Khataev had a record of 90-23. He defeated the Olympic medalist Arlena Lopez’s two -time medalist for three rounds of the majority decision in 2023.
