Edgar Berlanga talks to the involvement of the Cristian Rivera Foundation

The star of the super medium weight Edgar Berlanga discussed his commitment with the Cristian Rivera Foundation in his exclusive interview with worldboxingnews.com.

Part of the third discussion focused on Berlang’s decision on popularity, which includes acting as a member of the board of one heart close to him.

WBN asked Berlang about his relationship with the Cristian Rivera Foundation when Nokaut Puncher performs his next move.

“I got involved in Cristian Rivera Foundation Thanks to his close friend John “Gungie” Rivera, who founded the organization, “Berlanga said World Boxing News.

“He established a foundation in memory of his son, Cristian, who was diagnosed with dispersed internal pontine glioma [DIPG]Scarce and inoperable brain tumor.

“The Foundation is involved in raising consciousness about DIPGs, financing research to find medicine and provide key support for children and families affected by this destructive disease.”

When asked about others who joined him in the case, Berlanga added: “The foundation is supported by a dedicated group of volunteers and members of the board of celebrities who are passionate about the matter. They include comedian and actor Kenan Thompson, actor Luis Guzmán and Hollywood Malik Yoba veteran.

“Also media personalities, such as AJ Calloway and anchor NBC Darlene Rodriguez, music mogel John” Jellybean “Benitez, former politician Fernando Ferrer and world -famous artist Danny Cortes.

“We have an essential upcoming event: a 5 km walk in Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx on Saturday, June 21. This event aims to enhance the awareness about Dipg, which affects over 200 children a year.

“It is open to the audience and we expect that survival, patients and families have affected DIPG.

The next event takes place later, in which Berlanga will also appear.

“Our 16th annual Cristian Rivera Foundation celebrity gala will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, 18: 30-23:30 in Cipriani: 55 Wall ST, Fresh York.

“This event unites celebrities, supporters of the Cristian Rivera and Dipg Warriors Foundation. It all starts at 18:30 with a red acceptance.

“Your places are Hors d’Oeuvres, a five -hour open bar, dinner, award ceremony and moving video presentation. Our 16th annual celebrity gala will accumulate money to support clinical trials at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Weill Cornell Medical College and Mount Sinai Kravis Hospital.

“The Foundation also provides financial support for families affected by DIPG and uses funds to distribute awareness about this terrible disease.

“The Cristian Rivera Foundation is one of the largest supporters of financial research and family support in the country for DIPG.

“Until now, the Cristian Rivera Foundation has transferred over $ 3,500,000.00.”

Berlanga hopes to return to the ring later in the summer or early autumn, after victory over Jonathan Gonzalezem -ortis. Berlanga won the fight in 151 seconds at Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida to record the seventeenth career of KO.
