Jaron Ennis is afraid of Crawford against Canelo
Published
1 year agoon
The IBF welterweight master, Jaron Ennis, is worried about Crawford, when the pound star approaches Canelo Alvarez this year.
Crawford takes a year to take more stripes for 154 pounds to go to the rinsed and risk his invincible record against the ruler of a super medium weight.
“Bud” missed a significant challenge in his career since Errola Spence Jr. In the summer of 2023
The main owner of Saudi Arabia and the owner of the Ring magazine, Turki Alalshikh, puts money where his lips are like Crawford strives to challenge the unquestioned title in 168 pounds.
Jumping at 14 pounds from a great welterweight, Crawford will face Canelo in September at the Allegiant stadium in Las Vegas. Crawford is one of the few fighters on the planet who can become a champion in weight classes with a nervous win.
In August last year he added victory in the fourth weight against Israil Madrimov, and on May 3 Canelo Beats William Scull, the fight will be for all marbles at 168.
In front of the Super-Wall, Ennis gave Crawford advice when he finalizes the preparations to face Eimantas Stanionis in unification this weekend.
“You have to bend towards Canelo because he has been for a long time,” said Ennis Fight Hub TV. “He put off huge guys, and Crawford is slightly smaller.
“We will have to see how it takes place in September. We don’t know. It’s boxing, but I think you have to bend more towards Canelo, because it’s not even 168-pound.
“He should probably be 60 years elderly and hurt these guys and dropped these guys and they who are much bigger than him, come to the fight.
“I know that there are probably nearly 200 pounds and he drops these guys.”
Ennis said: that Crawford, taking a year and does not fight any fights, said: “I think Crawford should fight for a hot -up. In 160, just a sense of someone greater.
“I know that when you go to weight, you must put this muscle so that it is heavier so as not to want to fight.
“He is trying to build now, but I think he should remain sharply, and in this way there is no long dismissal.
“It will be a great fight, and fans want to see her, let it be like that,” he added.
Ennis has his hands full of Stanionis on Saturday evening. Star 33-0, 29 Kos will face another undefeated champion after winning the decision on Karen Chukhadzhian in November.
The couple will collide in Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, and Ennis placed their IBF welterweight title on the line to add the WBA version.
The victory for Ennis could construct a clash with three belts from Mario Barrios, which coach Bob Santos confirmed WBN on Friday that this could happen.

Oscar Collazo drops Valdez three times before stopping him in the corner

June 23, 2026
Oscar Collazo remained undefeated and won the WBO International flyweight title on Saturday night with a devastating two-round victory over Neider Valdez.
The unified WBA, WBO and Ring Magazine minimumweight champion improved to 15-0 with 12 knockouts after defeating Valdez three times before Mexico’s corner stopped the fight at 2:35 of the second round.
Making his final appearance at 112 pounds, Collazo showed his strength immediately transferred to the upper division, defeating Valdez from the opening bell at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California.
The Puerto Rican striker repeatedly found a home for his left hand and left no doubt about the outcome before the fight was called off.
“I felt great at 112 pounds. I love this division. In fact, I want to stay here for a long time,” Collazo said.
Knockdowns
Collazo admitted that he had already called for the fight to be stopped.
“After the third knockdown I was basically saying, ‘Never again, never again’. It was the right decision for his safety. His corner was well checked.
The victory added another belt to Collazo’s collection and enhanced his growing reputation as one of boxing’s most invigorating champions in the lower weight division.
Looking ahead, Collazo has made it clear who he wants next.
“The fight with Ricardo Sandoval definitely interests me. I really want that fight. I’m ready for gigantic fights. I’m ready to make history. That’s the fight I want next.”
Sandoval currently holds the WBA flyweight title, making this one of the most attractive fights available if Collazo continues his climb in weight.
The event was broadcast live on DAZN and was promoted by Golden Boy Promotions in partnership with Miguel Cotto Promotions.
