Weekend summarizing the fighting, Mason, Chop-Chop and others

By Frank Bay: It was a decent boxing weekend. There are no substantial names, but many fights from around the world to keep boxing fans from traditionally the largest weekend of the year, Cinco de Mayo.

When the size matters

Richard Torrez Jr. It is an average hefty weight. I learned this from his somewhat ugly fight with Guido Vianelllo. Thanks to the appropriate match, Torrez can end up with the E -Mail belt, if the highest rank can lead him for the next year and wait on older labels of Usyk, Johsua and Fury.

I base this analysis of my barometer, how to assess a warrior. What should happen if Torrez were a crop cream? He should have passed through a margin, such as Vianelllo like a warm knife through butter.

When the warrior is highly advertised, this is what fans expect. But when we see the fight for the perspective, red flags are raised. I understand this process, but the assessment is only common sense that if Torrez is struggling with Fighter C, when he approaches warrior B, it will only be much more tough.

Vianello is not a walk of cake, but he is not near the talent that the best pretenders are at the moment like Joseph Parker or Agit Kabayel. The best rank will have to force Torrez as with his child Anderson after he faced the former master Martin.

Torrez would have suffered the same fate as Jared Anderson if he decided to ignore the council of the highest ranks and fight a guy like Martin Bakole. It seems that Torrez has sufficient self -awareness to understand his talent and take advantage of the highest rank council.

Grades-

In addition to the obvious, the diminutive height and weight of the torrez is very awkward. Torrez’s biggest strike is that he lacks fluidity. His constant throwing and telegraing the blows will eventually make him flatten. He still fights at an amateur pace.

He is still reflecting and maybe he is doing something that can be called Feint, but his lack of dexterity makes him look like a loo guy. Only his head does not move, so he makes him look only like a boy from the 8th grade who tries to dance during his first dance. Simply put, it looks ugly.

Torrez will have to learn how to move around the ring easily and grace to set blows. Even I saw his blows coming. A positive is that Torrez is a strenuous warrior. He showed his heart and chin against a much larger man. He fought throughout the hugging of Vianelllo and was able to wipe him several times.

I would give Torrez Stamina C-. He will have to find a way to improve this because he seemed drastically to disappear. I realize that a significant part of this is due to that it was burdened by much larger men, the tactic used by Lennox Lewis and Fury, but I think that the beginning is to avoid all throwing as much as possible.

The last good thing I saw in Torrez is that he has a decent pop and fans love him. It seems that he likes to issue a program and loves to interact with fans. My last opinion is that if I were Torrez, I would consider getting the highest level coach who works with weight. Torrez is trained by his father, but I have not seen an ounce of improvement during the year of watching him.

The modern coach could aid Torrez learn to set up the impacts easily. Now for the most crucial rating: observation. Torrez is B-. Torrez will throw blows and will be there to be hit, which makes him amiable to fans. It should be fun, watching him go further.

When reality meets the noise

Abdullah Mason was also seriously exaggerated on the card. And if I learned something from Torrez’s struggle, I did not learn anything from the amazing Mason’s birthday victory (put sarcasm into a roll of eye).

I am sorry, but it is painfully obvious that the highest ranking was placed in the Straitjacket vest in fear, which he suffered when he was almost decisive by Yohan Vasquez two fights ago. Even an undered, free boxing observer saw that Mason was 3 times larger than Ornela.

Something that ESPN announces the team casually overlooked: Mason looked like an average weight that was fully hydrated after the fight. How do we know that, are you asking? At the beginning I noticed that Mason was extremely dehydrated and he lacks hitting.

These are signs of a warrior killing to earn weight. I surprised, Tim Bradley also moved that Mason was not noticeably not his ordinary me during the first few rounds. Another painfully obvious thing that ARnelas was casually shiny, is a 126-pound career.

ESPN/Top Rank must do something with Tim Bradley’s glazing for Kryliczanie for his guys. I understand that he is a good friend with Keyshawn Davis and Mason in front of the ring, but it is crazy that we should pretend to be an objective observer when he is baking and Hollers, when Mason lands in a slightly decent blow. This would be accepted if Bradley was straightforward that Ornelas was a warrior approaching two weight classes, so that the Freemason would look like Mini-Mice Tyson.

Grades-

There is no one in this fight because he was similar to a soldier who looks like a commando in a simulation, unlike live real forehead. Does he do good things in the ring? Sure, but I can look like Sugar Ray Leonard on a training bag. Of course, Mason has all the athletic gifts, but this is boxing, not a triathlon.

Mason chin will be his fall when and if he fights with a living dog. I just don’t want to buy a lot of stocks in it now. Mason gets B for viewership. It seems that he is ready to mix it and not be elated with running and holding like his counterpart, Shakur Stevenson.

Chop Chop or a slope?

Another noteworthy perspective on the card coming out of RGBA (coach Robert Garcii’s Gym) was a warrior who Chop-Chop Gonzalez. Gonzalez has an operating story. Fights Chop Fighting in 126 is a good perspective, but has been tested. He fought with a pretender, who seriously challenged him.

Chop Chop looked good but not great. The ESPN announcement team had him closer than me. I felt that Chop-Chop did a great job on the body, which Bradley and Company. The frustrating aspect of observing and listening to Bradley is how, of course, he is biased during commenting. He influenced the viewers that Coolwell perhaps won the fight.

The blow plays a role when his obvious Chop was in a real fight. Coolwell made Bruce Carrington a distance. Where Bradley is too critical of Chop-Chop entering the class, he, in turn, has a festival for Mason, which will face a real training bag. While Mason fought with a guy 3 times smaller, Chop-Chop fought a guy much bigger than him.

Rate

I have to give him C+. He got a decisive win in a more tough match. Body work, but the defense gets Chop Chop is very muscular for these smaller weight classes. And like Torrez, he gives a lack of dexterity, making him a sedentary target.

It seems that he is trying to give angles like Bam Rodriguez, but it just looks awkward because there is no fluidity of bam. There are no feet to download it. Chop-Chop has power B-. The balls sound strenuous, but I didn’t see Coolwell too worried.

At 126, the top of the class, such as espinosis and fulton, can take and wash it. Going forward, Chop-Chop will have to work on a stiff stab and become better in motion and movement of the head. Chop-Chop loves to charge and sit down a bit too much.

We know this because Coolwell was also able to see how he was coming. Coolwell became better when Chop-Chop was loading and descended. The most crucial rank would be reasonable to slowly bring Chop-Chop.

A better Mover than Coolwell would be perhaps defeating Gonzalez. Nevertheless, he passed the test and has some talent, but he needs a little more spices. He receives observation. Chop-Chop is a TV. When he appears in the classroom, the wars will soon come.

Australia fans forgive

And finally Timmy Tsyzu. It was impressive to see the crowd and emotions in the ground near Tisz, but it ends there. I am a fan of Tsiza, I supported him against Jermell Charlo for the undisputed, but my changing times.

My only thought watching this fight on the best film was Geez, I feel sorry for Australian fans who were accused of PPV for this garbage. Tsyzyu hit the Spencer training purse. But when it comes to Tzsyu, apparently does not look like the same skilled warrior in Uber, which he once was.

It looks weaker in terms of boxing skills, i.e. reflexes and power, but mentally I felt that I literally saw a man trying to find himself last night. At the moment I could not favor Timmy against any of the 154 pounds.

It is a protected plant that Tyu challenges Keith Thurman for good money. Even this fight is not a certain plant for Timmy. There is no reconnaissance report because I did not feel that Spencer was nothing but a wiper. If I didn’t know better, I would say that Joey came to lie down. You don’t have to say that Tim Tziu is mandatory. There will be blood in Timmy’s fight!

Delgado loses in the win

I don’t want to talk much about Lindolfo vs Elvis because there was nothing to talk about. If the faces were used to assess the fight, it was clear that Lindolfo won. Delgado made Elvis’s face look like a hamburger meat at the end of the fight.

Some fans are crying about robbery, but as I see it, if you followed Elvis’s career, you know he is his worst enemy. Elvis is fine, passively going, moving and elated to do nothing.

Delgado is not much better and is known that there is no sense of consciousness when it comes to fighting. After a frustrating round, there is no sense of urgency. Delgado gets a plus for independent performance. I don’t see him to become a master with such performances. If I didn’t know better, I would think that Delgado has a gas tank fears.

Other

Take-out pros of night- praise for judge Marek Taylor for punishing excessive towing. We need more in boxing. Greetings to Australians for showing crazy recognition to their man’s luck. Hats from hats for a good crowd in Las Vegas for Torrez.

Fans showed a lot of love for Torrez and Keyshawn Davis. Gigantic Shot Out To Pro Box TV for the Salas presentation, which destroyed his man Cruz on Saturday evening. Finally, from the sides B, Vianelllo and Coolwell there was a good show. We’ll see them again.

It didn’t bother watching Joyce vs. Hrgovic or Janibek in Herfuster, who cares for the fights in which I knew what the results would be before. Finally, congratulations to Madwor Mexico Moran, who was upset by American Myquan Williams. Willaims, believing that he fought in a bag, tried to escape and keep his way to victory in the last round. I love it when this strategy is based on fighters!

Joe Cordina doubts Shakura Stevenson for the fight against Conor Bennem, citing Benn’s power and Stevenson’s tendency to run

Published

on

Image: Joe Cordina Doubts Shakur Stevenson's Seriousness About Fighting Conor Benn Next, Citing Benn's Power and Stevenson's Tendency to Run

Joe Cordina does not believe that Shakur Stevenson is seriously approaching the fight with Conor in welterweight after defending the title on July 12 before William Zeda. Cordina says that Benn hits heavily, massive and would be unsafe for Shakur with eight ounces of gloves.

Eddie Hearn said Benn and Shakur contacted him to fight. Hearn says he will do it after the next fights. Conor is expected to take September with Chris Eubank Jr. Then he can fight Shakur (23-0, 11 KO).

Shakur are you chasing millions?

No, it’s full of S *** “ Joe Cordina said Boxing news Asked about his reaction to Shakur Stevenson, who said he wanted to fight Conor Bennem next after his July 12 clash with William Zezda. “He is a very good warrior, a technically good warrior, but when he gets [pressured, he runs]. “

Shakur can be seriously seriously in terms of fighting with Conor Bennem, because he wants to feel the taste of great money that is missing during his career. He apparently heard about millions of Benn, who Benn created for his last fight with medium weight Chris Eubank Jr. April 26 and wants to enter the action. This may be the only chance of Stevenson to get a life -changing money. If his dream is to live among the millionaires in HO-HO-KUS, Saddle River or Rumson, Recent Jersey, the fight against Conor, there would be a fight.

“Well, we see how he is to other fighters when they throw at him excavated on his weight. He is on his bike. I can only imagine how he would be with him if Conor Benn is with him. Of course he sees the gaps in Conor, but Conor is a massive boy. And he also strikes demanding. Few Eight Guine.

“Very good fight,” Cordina said about Shakura’s fight with Zepeda. “It will be an thrilling fight, or It will be a well. Or or. It will not be hard and will go away. Yes, if Shakur enters a bike, it can be the most celebrated, but it’s boxing. It will hit and not be hit. “

Boos is waiting for Shakur?

There is no guessing. Shakur will go on July 12, because to stand out of him as Tevin Farmer did it, it would be suicide. Stevenson is not as demanding as a farmer and it would not last four rounds fighting Puncher like Zepeda in his pocket. He should fight him, because this clash is an interrogation regarding the potential fight against great money with Gervont Davis. Turki Alalshikhi will not want to finance the fight against Tank-Stevenson if Shakur is booed from the Louis Armstrong stadium in Queens in his title defense against Zepeda.

Shakur must be ready to put his skin on the line, not entertaining the earth with anyone and the coatings to its basic elements will be eagerly left through Zepeda. He could still fight the tank if at least he tried to fight the Mexican knockout artist. If Shakur escapes and fights in his typical style, his chances of getting this fight will disappear.

“And for purists, it will be an unbelievable performance. But for fighters who judge him as a pound as one of the best fighters on the planet, he will probably suppress what he does. Cordina said.

Average boxing fan They are bored with their mind If Shakur decides to escape against Zepeda. This is the only option that Stevenson won because he is too faint and breakable to stay in his pocket and fight. His last fight with the British warrior Josh Padley could give him ideas that he could endure his land and fight in February last year.

It was a special case. Padley could not hit and was perfect for Shakur to fight in his pocket. He can’t do it against Zepeda without passing on machines. Stevenson is not more hard than the earlier victims of Zepeda, Giovanni Cabrera, Maxi Hughes and Marcito Gesta. If these guys could not cope with Zepeda’s attack, Shakur also not. That is why he will have to run, which means a lot of Boos. This fight takes place in Recent York, so they will not be kind when Stevenson starts running to avoid Zepeda’s pressure.

Goodman himself bloody, but uninterrupted Vaca as IVIC vs. Vousiutu explodes throughout the war

Published

on

Image: Sam Goodman Bloodied But Unbroken, Outclasses Vaca As Ivic vs. Vousiutu Erupts Into All-Out War

The ambitions of the world title Goodman are still alive – barely.

The invincible Australian returned to the Hordenstan Pavilion in Sydney on Wednesday evening and won the dominant, but coarse decision over Mexico Cesar Vaca. It was supposed to be pure tuning. Instead, Goodman left the ring covered with blood and sewed again – but with on the board.

The judges won it 100-90, 99-91 and 99-92. No controversy. Only damage.

Goodman was at the top of the Super Bantamweight Division. At the beginning of this year, he was to face Nayy Inoue – a weight class monster – until the nasty training camp did not kill sleep. This fight concerned the restoration of the momentum and regaining his name in the mix.

He did it. But not without drama.

Goodman boxed sharply through the first half, dictating the pace, landing tidy work and never allowing Vaca to reach a foothill. But as the rounds of the fights passed, they became disordered. Goodman suffered Two separate cuts -One in the middle of the fight and one tardy because of the incorrect accidental hit over the eye. Blood spilled. The fans spilled. Goodman was still hit.

He managed the last rounds like a professional, remaining behind the stab, keeping the discipline and never allowing Vaca to build hope.

Now 20-0, Goodman remains the highest name in the division outside Inoue-i explained that he was not leaving.

After the fight, Goodman stopped his tears, turning to his support group, Crazy groupAnd he thought about what he called the wildest six months of his life. His words were not polished. They didn’t have to be. Emotions spoke enough.

He wants Inoue. And whether it is next or another, Goodman returned to the conversation.

Garside shakes the rust ring in returning to the victory over Bell

In the Gold Medalist coefficient from 2018, gold medalist, Harry Garside, long -expected return to a professional boxing after three years of play. And he didn’t waste time.

Garside won the victory over Charlie Bell before a slowdown crowd Sydney. . The judge’s decision to wave the fight surprised many, and Bell still stood and traded in arrows at the time of arrest. It wasn’t vintage, but it was enough. He showed movement, time and type of experience, which only sharpens under pressure. Bell tried to make him coarse, but Garside kept in control and overwhelmed him.

The finish came tardy. Garside won. And now he returned in a delicate conversation – again a real noise behind him.

IVIC vs. Vousiutu: War in massive weight that stole all this damn night

This was to be buried under the main event. I ended up in the fight, which everyone is talking about.

In the fight for the Australian heavyweight title Stevan Ivic and Toese Vousiutu went to the war for ten plain rounds in one of the most brutal, crowd Siedney, full of crowd, has seen for years.

It was ugly, it was wild, it was chaos.

In round 6 Vousiutu almost finished. His corner gave him an ultimatum: take it or throw a towel. He answered like a madman – and turned the whole fight on his head. He left swaying in round 7 and almost dropped Ivic with a monster’s shot. The place broke out.

Both men traded with haymaking after the round, with massive shots landing tidy. You could hear the Thuds ring. Tim Tziu, who viewed live, called it “a fight forever”. Ben Damon, a man of fun, said it was a “round of the year.”

And they didn’t exaggerate.

Ultimately, IVIC kept his title with a unanimous decision-96-94, 96-93, 96-93. But honestly, nobody lost. Both men took the last bell. The fans were on their feet for a few minutes.

It wasn’t a produced spectacle. It was two tough guys hammering into the basement and trying to tear each other in the fight for the title that turned into a war zone. It was not the best fight of the card – it could be the best fight in Australian boxing throughout the year.

Hearn explains his change to Crawford’s support against the falling Canelo

Published

on

Image: Trainer Predicts Crawford's Early Skill Will Challenge Canelo, But Questions Whether 'Bud' Can Survive Alvarez's Late-Round Pressure

Promoter Eddie Hearn changed his instructions and bends towards Terenka Crawford, defeating the undisputed champion of Super Middle Wweight Canelo Alvarez in his great fight on September 13.

Hearn says Crawford (41-0, 31 KO) is a “fresher” guy with legs, calmness and a beam of himself to defeat Canelo. What made Hearn changed his mind was how Alvarez looked in his last fight with William Scull.

Defeating Canelo against Crawford would be catastrophic in his career, confirming in the minds of fans that he was always a confined warrior. Many people perceive Kanel as a flat warrior without the possibility of moving and unable to cope with qualified boxers. He got lost or received controversial victories when he fought with talented fighters. Erislandy Lara, Floyd Mayweather Jr. And Austin trout are examples of this.

A recent decrease in Canelo

“Ring IQ, Movement, controlling the fight against the main hand, leg work, defense, peace and everything. It’s faith in myself. I can’t say how much faith Crawford has,” said Eddie Hearn to F to F to F to F to FIgghthipe. “There is no doubt that Canelo is beating and he does it easily.”

Crawford apparently believes that he is defeating Canelo because he saw him worse in his last three fights. The way Canelo, 34, performed in his last fight against Master IBF Super Middle in the weight of William Scull on May 3, would lose with many of 168 pounds. You can also attach 154-pounds of guys such as Crawford. The Mexican star looks like arrows.

“He could beat all the great, but he never really had the opportunity. That’s why this fight is vital to him,” said Hearn about Crawford. “After watching Canelo against the skull, I think [Crawford] A fresh guy there. I rarely come back against Canelo Alvarez, but it would not surprise me if Crawford won the fight. “

It is a pity that Crawford never had the opportunity to fight the best guys during his career to prove that he is one of the great ones. Only now, at the end of his career at the age of 37, finally has a chance, and may not get the recognition he wants, because Alvarez has a earnest decrease in physical skills.

Beyond Canelo: real size

If Crawford really wants to prove himself as great, he should go to 175 and face the winner of the trilogy Dmitry Beterbiv 3 or David Benavidez. It is assumed that Bud will win against Canelo on September 13. In order for Crawford to defeat Benavidez or the winner of the Bivol-Betiview trilogy, it would be huge and showed that he is worthy in the top three of the great.

“At first they intended to go on Friday evening, because on Saturday evening the UFC event will take place. But for me I think that the championship should be on Saturday evening,” Hearn said, reacting to the fight Canelo vs. Crawford moved to Saturday, September 13.

Canelo-Crawford will fight the UFC event the same night, but there is a good bet that it will still be fine. This is too much a fight to not bring huge numbers.
