Josh Padley will face Serbian Marko Cvetanovic in the 10-round Undercard competition for the international featherlight title WBA on April 19, live on Dazn at Park Community Arena in Sheffield, England.

Padley-Cvetanovic will fight for Dalton Smith vs. Mathieu Germain at this event. Given the lower place, it is not expected to be a competitive fight. Of course, with the lack of Padley’s power, you cannot rule out a strictly fighting fight from beginning to end. You can expect Cvetanovic to aim at Padley’s body because it turned out to be exposed in his last fight.

Match debut

This is the first of the many fighting Padley (15-1, 4 KO), recently signed with Eddie Hearna’s boxing after his effort, losing to the WBC Lightweight Shakur Stevenson champion through the ninth round of February 22 in Riyadyh, Saudi Arabia.

Padley was recruited by Hearn as a replacement opponent Shakur after the withdrawal of the initially planned guy, Floyd Schofield. Hearn criticized fans for choosing a featherlight boxer part -time Padley at the invincible WBC ranking No. 10 Herrera Core (17-0, 15 KO), which would create a much more fascinating fight for Shakur.

Some fans thought Hearn protects Stevenson to stop him from knocking out and save him a potential fight with a huge amount of money with the star of a featherlight division, Gervont Davis.

Four-year-old pro Marko Cvetanovic (13-0, 6 KO) has one significant name in her CV, the journeyman Viorel Samion, who fought many eminent fighters during his career. Cvetanovic detained a 43-year simulation in the third round due to injury last year on June 28. Apart from him, Cvetanovic largely fought veterans and perspectives during his miniature career. He started as a kick-boxer in 2018, but he abandoned one successful fight for focusing on boxing.

Featherlight limits

Padley’s lack of power makes it arduous for him to match any of the huge punchers or skillful fighters in a featherlight division. You can’t match him with such as Abdullah Mason, Raymond Muratalla or Edwin de Los Santos and expect it to reach the fourth round. Hearn can choose target fighters such as Denys Berinchyk, Maxi Hughes or Joe Cordina as Padley’s options. Introducing him with 22-year-old Jadier Herrera would be a bad idea.
