Vladimir Klitschko must reject George Foreman Record “Gift”
Published
2 months agoon

Vladimir Klitschko turned 49 this week, just a few days after the legendary heavyweight george Foreman.
Reigning the longest [sanctioning body] World Heavyweight Champion can always break George’s “Massive” record. At the end of last year, the rumors about the return of Klitschko were common when the head of the Riyjad Turki season Alalshikh swore to enter and facilitate Ukrainian get a shot in defeating Benchmark Foreman.
Foreman won the highest division crown at 45, twenty years after he lost the world heavyweight title with Muhammad Ali. Texan created a seemingly indisputable record, which Klitschko considered a challenge.
Vladimir Klitschko eyes the oldest feat
In 2019, Klitschko mentioned his ambitions two years after he withdrew from boxing after a knockout technical defeat with Anthony Joshua at the Wembley stadium in England.
“I train regularly. Almost every day,” Klitschko said Fox Sports’s Fair Game. “I need it like breathing air, but I like to play sports.
“I still have it, but I don’t know how long I can keep this form. It must be something unusual. Amazing. But if I can become a 45-year-old, 46-year-old, and if I still have it.
“If I still had sparks in my stomach, I would think that I could beat the album and become the oldest heavyweight champion at this extraordinary moment.
“I mean that now there is only one guy, George Foreman. But by that time I will think about it.”
Breaking the George Foreman record
Pandemic and Russian war suspended these plans by 2022, when Kliczko turned 46 and qualified for achievement. Three years later, Klitschko is not closer to securing the ranking needed to compete for heavyweight belts.
“Dr. Steelhammer” lost the last two fights and has not been working for eight years. Each body sanctioning even thinking about the release of almost a 50-year-old cracks in the title would have to follow the rules.
Kliczko would have to win at least one balmy -up match before he questioned the title of IBF, WBA, WBO or WBC.
Even then it is not that straightforward. Sanctioning bodies have mandatory pretenders whom Klitschko cannot remove the finger click.
Agit Kabayel is a short-lived WBC line, and Joseph Parker has a short-lived WBO title. At the same time, Derek Chisora was named IBF in force with the World Boxing Association [WBA] Having Kubrat Pulev as a secondary owner of titles and Fabio Wardley as a claimant.
The weight class is a mess, and Daniel Dubois was handed out with an IBF belt without heading to a real master, Oleksandr Usyk.
Even in the face of Usyk in Ukraine, it is beyond the table, because the couple is forceful friends, and the situation in their native country remains too uncertain. Brother Kliczko, Vitali, the mayor of Kiev, has already outlined that boxing in this country is impossible.
Vladimir Klitschko and Usyk have always fought in Germany or Saudi Arabia, taking into account a special dispensation for a special one -off event.
However, legends do not seem to fight too much.
This only leaves Dubois, which can potentially be the one who will give Kliczko a chance. The winner will then face Derek Chisora in the second of the two international boxing federations [IBF] Fighting later this year.
If this scenario occurs, an advertisement should be announced in the next four weeks.
The gift must be rejected
Foreman’s record has survived time for over twenty years, and many in sport think that they deserve to be supported, unless someone fully earns him, which Klitschko does not have.
The deceased foreman returned to sport in 1987 and fought almost 30 times to get a crack at Michael Moorer in Las Vegas. His longest spell at that time was 19 months.
Klitschko is outside of eight years of this April and he would only have the opportunity thanks to a gift that he would have to reject to avoid the anger of boxing and media fans.
It would be a black eye of Foreman if any boxer, legendary or not, received his leg to challenge his extraordinary feat.
Meanwhile, the three -time heavyweight champion and the winner of the Golden Olympic medal paid their own tribute to Foreman after hearing his gloomy passage on Friday.
“Massive George” leaves a great void in a world boxing family and more, “said Klitschko.” He jumped all the values that make “sweet science” so unique.
“He wrote our most attractive pages and a great album. We will never forget him. Condolences for his family, friends and fans. Rip Champ.”
Such as George Foreman will never be noticeable again.

Abdullah Mason says he is “grateful”, that he has the opportunity to fight in the main event with Jeremia Nakathlia on Saturday evening at ESPN at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia.
Mason claims that he had to be “prepared for this moment” and wants to exploit it, winning modern fans with an impressive victory. It is amazing that 21-year-old warriors receive a live headline on ESPN, and he would never have got it if it wasn’t for Keyshawn Davis dropping the ball.
Delicate pretender, Mason (18-0, 16 KO), had a chance to lean after the fight Keyshawna Davis from Edwin de los Santos today for the highest position, because Davis has gone out of excess weight during weighing.
Last Thursday, Keyshawn tried to embarrass the Mason, confronting him from the media, dared that he would fight him in the next order, even though he had no experience in amateurs or professionals for this kind of competition. The failure of Keyshawna’s weight led him to perceive him as undisciplined, and many fans thought he deliberately did it to get an unfair advantage.
If the Mason looks spectacular against Nakoscilia, he could be transferred to the main status of the event for future cards with the highest rannch. This means more fame, larger warriors and higher wages.
“I had to be prepared at the moment and I am. I am simply grateful that they will perform as the main event and come here,” said Abdullah Mason Fight Hub tv On replacing Keyshawn Davis at the main event on Saturday evening at ESPN, Norfolk, Virginia.
It’s high time Abdullah to shine
This is an ideal situation in which the Mason shone on Saturday, because recently he was stolen by a series fighting on the approach. However, when the fights were buried well below the main event, he did not pay attention that he would get different if the headline, if he looked excellent on Saturday with a knockout out of heads. It will change his career. This is not only great for him, but also for the highest class.
Keyshawna’s brother, lightweight half-weight Kelvin Davis, will go to the slot of the factor for the 10-round fight against Nahir Albright this Saturday. It is an ideal place for Kelvin to get very necessary attention to his career. Kelvin’s fight was to be on the introductory card, but now he was improved to the main card.
“My goal is to show for Norfolk and for everyone watching me in the main event,” said Mason. “It will be my second time in ESPN. In the main event there will be many people who did not see me. They never saw me. So I’m just focused on Saturday evening.
“In the case of this fight for an accident, I perceive it as positive for my career. Norfolk is now becoming my second home. This is my first main event. For the first time, everyone loved me [against Yohan Vasquez]. They embraced me. So, for me to be here now, I feel as if everyone is still excited to watch the fight – said Mason.

Gold Coast, Australia – when it comes to who has the unofficial crown of the best boxer in Australia, there is Jai Odetaa, and then everyone is playing catching up.
The invincible 29-year-old Bruiser from Zong on the middle coast of the Up-to-date South Wales has having having the fact that in the last 36 months, collecting and constantly defending himself, both IBF and the title Ring titles in the ward ward in the circulatory weight, while rising to the top of the ESPN cruise weight rankings. Now the next logical step is a shot in infrequent union.
The Mexican star Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez has WBO and WBA belts in a cracked division, but the bite of struggles between him and Odetaia has not yet been agreed, despite the ongoing push from the Australians and his camp. However, speculation still swirled that the September fight in Las Vegas.
In the meantime, Opetoa (27-0, 21 KO) will place his titles on the line this weekend in “Stay-Busy”, voluntary defense against uninhabited Claudio Squeo (17-0, 9 KO) at Convention and Exhibition Center, a compact ride from the training base in Broadbeach, Queensland.
“I am chasing Zurdo. My eyes are closed on them (uniform fights). The best should be the fight against the best,” said Odetaa in leading with Squeo. “Now this guy is on the road and we have to remove it. None of them matters unless I deal with business [against Squeo]. “
The fight between OPETAI and SQUEO was originally scheduled for May 13, but was forced to postpone three and a half weeks to June 8 due to a “tiny injury” suffered by the master at the last stage of the training camp. Opetoa has now returned to full fitness and is ready to submit more misery to her latest pretender, who has fought only once in the last 20 months and never outside of his family Italy.
“Guys like him, they have nothing to lose and everything to gain,” said Odetaa about Squeo, moments after the couple first met. “On the stage I could say that he was a bit nervous, but when it leaves, elderly, you f — nervousness become perilous.
“He will be swift, shaken, he threw bombs and tries to take off his head. And that’s why I paired many compact, perilous guys. I have to remain patient. I am a world -class warrior.”
The last fight of Otetai was also at this place at Gold Coast. On January 8, he made a statement with the dominant knockout of the fourth round of the highly authenticated Up-to-date Zealander David Nyiki, his fourth victory in the distance in the last five fights. The place is also a scene where Opetoi for the first time became a boxing world champion, winning a rugged decision over the Latvian star of Miris Bliedis in mid -20122.
Between these fights, Australian Southpaw crushed the talented British couple Jordan Thompson and Ellis Zorro, won a rematch against Bliedis, also a unanimous decision, and stopped the title of Commonwealth Cruiser at Jack Massey.
If Opetoa adds the name Squeo to its list of victims on Sunday evening, the unification of the circuitous weight in the back half of the year will not look more and more likely, but almost impossible to avoid Ramirez.
