Quotes before the fight:
George Cambosos Jr:
“It is great to go home in Sydney. A great fight here, a great noise in the city. This is an extremely crucial fight. Yes, we had a certain opponent, but this is boxing. We always have to be ready for unexpectedly. For us we just adapt. We have been adapting so many scenarios, we were because of so many experiences at the championships, the best level in the game.
“One guy is outside the home, and who is the next guy? Of course, we respect that Jake jumps. His style was suitable. We told him well, give him a chance. A teenage kid, full of respect, a modest kid – give him his rocky story. But as I said, don’t twist him. This is not a content ending.
“There is a difference between the fight at the national level and the possession of the Australian title and the fight at the level at which I fought. He says that he sees holes, I would like to ask him, which holes he sees? Which fighting with you see holes? Matchroom card?
“People say they see holes, but there is a difference between the elite, the peak – where I have been fighting for many years, compared to the level he fought. And yes, it has a nice knockout coefficient. Good record, I respect it. I respect the child. I have no bad beef.
Jake Wyllie:
“It’s huge. We’ve been preparing for sparring here because my fight was supposed to be in a few weeks. My trainer Luke and I booked tickets to come and watch George. As it is, we fight here.
“It was around 21:15 on Saturday evening and I slept in half. In a sense, I fell over and thought:” Jesus, who calls me so tardy? ” It was my manager.
“I am here to defeat George Cambosos. Yes, the money is great. I don’t focus on this. I’m here to do my job at George and change my life forever.
“True faith. I always remain vigorous, I always stay in shape, I am always well so that when these possibilities appear, I could drop them with a hammer and say that I am fighting. I do not have to prepare. I am always ready. I am always ready. The weight was at all. I do not jump here from the couch. I have a matter, tough, robust and ready to do work at George Cambosos.
“Of course, I watched him from afar. He did great things in Australian boxing. A loan where it depends. He did a few huge things. Two Haney fights that he brought here. It was brilliant. For me I always looked at George and thought:” Jeze, if I could get his hands on him “he is so cross.

Oscar Collazo remained undefeated and won the WBO International flyweight title on Saturday night with a devastating two-round victory over Neider Valdez.
The unified WBA, WBO and Ring Magazine minimumweight champion improved to 15-0 with 12 knockouts after defeating Valdez three times before Mexico’s corner stopped the fight at 2:35 of the second round.
Making his final appearance at 112 pounds, Collazo showed his strength immediately transferred to the upper division, defeating Valdez from the opening bell at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California.
The Puerto Rican striker repeatedly found a home for his left hand and left no doubt about the outcome before the fight was called off.
“I felt great at 112 pounds. I love this division. In fact, I want to stay here for a long time,” Collazo said.
Knockdowns
Collazo admitted that he had already called for the fight to be stopped.
“After the third knockdown I was basically saying, ‘Never again, never again’. It was the right decision for his safety. His corner was well checked.
The victory added another belt to Collazo’s collection and enhanced his growing reputation as one of boxing’s most invigorating champions in the lower weight division.
Looking ahead, Collazo has made it clear who he wants next.
“The fight with Ricardo Sandoval definitely interests me. I really want that fight. I’m ready for gigantic fights. I’m ready to make history. That’s the fight I want next.”
Sandoval currently holds the WBA flyweight title, making this one of the most attractive fights available if Collazo continues his climb in weight.
The event was broadcast live on DAZN and was promoted by Golden Boy Promotions in partnership with Miguel Cotto Promotions.
