Boxing receives the IOC consent to the place at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles
Published
1 week agoon

Boxing was included on Thursday in the Olympic program in Los Angeles in 2028 after a unanimous vote of the International Olympic Committee, ending years of doubts about the future of Olympic sport.
Last month, the IOC granted the momentary recognition of World Boxing in a vast step towards incorporating sport in the Los Angeles Games, and the Board of the IOC approved, including boxing in the 2028 program at the beginning of this week. The Thursday decision formally assured that the presence of Olympic sport would continue.
“Thank you for approving the return of boxing. We can expect a great boxing tournament,” said IOC President Thomas Bach.
The boxing competition at the Paris 2024 Games was led by the IOC after the international boxing association was deprived of recognizing in 2023 due to the lack of implementation of reforms in the field of management and finance.
The IOC did not include sport in the initial program 2028 and called on the National Boxing Federations to create a fresh global boxing body to replace IBA.
World boxing, currently with over 80 national federation as members, was published in 2023.
“This is a great day for boxers, boxing and all related to our sport at every level around the world,” said boxing president Boris van der Vorst. “This result was achieved through the huge effort of the team … And it would not be possible without the strenuous work and commitment of all national federations, boxers, trainers, officials and boxing leaders who worked together to make it happen.
“World Boxing understands that being part of the Olympic Games is a privilege, not a law, and we are determined to be a trustworthy and reliable partner who will observe and maintain the values of the Olympic movement.”
The IOC said that only athletes, whose national federation was members of world boxing until the start of qualification events at the 2028 Olympic Games could take part in Los Angeles.
The IOC suspended IBA, led by the Russian businessman Umara Kremlev with close connections with Kremlin, in 2019 due to management, finance, judges and ethical issues. It was not associated with IBA in conducting boxing events at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021, and in sporadic movement two years later he deprived him of recognition.
Since the suspension of IBA and Kremlev, they have been still meeting with the IOC, especially on the principles of qualifying for women in the Olympic Games in Paris.
Iba said last month that she was planning to submit criminal complaints against the IOC in the United States, France and Switzerland.

Applicate the Cravford: Canelo Fight “Canelo Fight” Most of the Boxing History “, ignoring the lack of PPV Appeal and Benavidez’s competition

Terenka Crawford says that his fight against Canelo Alvarez in 168 is “the biggest fight in boxing”, greater than a match with the participation of the “Mexican monster” by David Benavidez in the face of Alvarez.
(Loan: Melanie Pizano/Matchroom)
Crawford (41-0, 31 KO) states that every time you get an African-American fighter, going to Mexico, “it”Always the biggest fight in history.“To strengthen his view, Bud points out that the fight of 1993 between Julio Emperar Chavez and Pernell Whitaker 32 years ago was huge. Using this as an example does not fit. Both Whitaker and Chavez were popular. Crawford cannot draw a flies, and this fight will not happen if it does not happen if it is not for Riyadh season.
The real problem with the argument of Terence It is not popular A fighter with free boxing fans. Crawford is only popular among the Hardcore fans segment and had only one successful PPV fight in his entire 17-year career. It was against Errol Spence.
He brought all PPV purchases for this fight, not Crawford. The event was successful despite the resistance of Terence. Today’s average free boxing fan would not be able to choose Crawford from the composition. For them he is only an senior guy with a retreating hair line. Canelo is a star here. I will never find out what Turks sees in Crawford.
History of PPV Crawford
Israil Madrimov: 200 thousand On Dazn
Errol Spence: 700K Showtime
David Opennyan: 120k to Blk Prime
Shawn Porter: 190k on ESPN
Amir Khan: 200k at ESPN
Viktor Postol: 60k on HBO
If Canelo had the courage to fight Benavidez, this fight would occur centuries ago, and so far it ended. I think Benavidez would worry about Canelo and take the first place as the face of boxing. Canelo artificially held the first place through the twisted Benavidez.
“I look at the story. This is an older fight and now it is the biggest fight in boxing,” said Terenka Crawford to make 4 pounds in Kamar YouTube Channel and Henry about their fight with Canelo Alvarez on September 13. “Many people can say:” We want to see Benavidez and Canelo. “
Crawford sounds disingenuous and desperate, so that his fight with Canelo seems more than what is – a pathetic catch of money to deceive naive fans from their cake. If it was about the legacy, Crawford would move to 168 and put his cushioned skin on the line against Benavidez, David Morrell and Oslys Iglesias to chop him. It is only money and it is so painfully obvious that even the average half -switch can see the truth.
Disconnect fans
“As a box of boxing it would be a fight, but to be real, Canelo vs. Terence Crawford is today the biggest fight in boxing. There is no major fight that is greater than Canelo-Crawford. 100%, “said Bud asked if his fight with Alvarez would be greater than Canelo vs. David Benavidez.
If Crawford were the PPV star, his last fight with Israil Madrimov would not have fallen, bringing a gloomy 200,000 purchases to Dazna, despite the loaded card. Fans don’t care about Crawford.
“African-American-American, they always make the biggest fights in history, returning to Pernell Whitaker-Chavez [on September 10, 1993]Crawford said. “It will be electrifying. I can easily fight Vergil Ortiz, a fund or anyone who would make a quick zloty, but I look at a larger picture.
“It is a fight about heritage, a generational fight, which he will talk about for years. When I leave, they will talk about:” Man, you remember when Crawford reached 168 to fight Canelo, the two best pound fighters in the world in their splendor, fighting with each other. “

Before the fight, Ryan hit a can of red paint by an unidentified person when I leave the hotel to go to fight. Ryan was not undamaged and went to the place. She blamed Mayer and her team for the attack, something they denied.
The fighters developed a mighty contempt for themselves before fighting because of the trainer. Mayer trained with Kay Korom for most of her career, but in September 2023 “Coach Kay” also began training Ryan. Considering the conflict of interests, Mayer left Koroma for coach Kofi Yantuah, who was also in her team, after her losing with Natasha Jonas in January 2024.
Mayer defeated Ryan from the results cards 93-97, 94-96 and 95-95 in a close fight, which separated both warrior with only one blow-Mayer, he landed 186 blows to Ryan 185, and also put Ryan with power mounts (132-128). But Ryan landed three more stabs than Mayer (57 to 54) for 10 rounds.
