Claress Shields faces WBO in the case of the alleged failed drug test after the unquestioned title of the hefty master.
The WBO information letter reports that Shields did not pass the drug test after the victory over Daniele Perkins on February 2 at Detroit. WBO now wants answers or can be forced to dismantle the title shield.
Part of the official document sent to the World Boxing News on Thursday is: “The main WBO office received via e -mail, official communication from Mr. Benjamin Parker, Director of the Division licensing, on behalf of the Department of License and Regulation of the Michigan Commission not armed regarding documents regarding documents regarding documents regarding documents regarding documents regarding documents regarding WB documents.
“Sm. Linda Cleggy directed the investigation into complaints that demand a violation of the unarmed regulatory law of Michigan, MCL 338.3601 et seq. And related administrative principles.”
The letter described what they thought happened: “Mrs. Claressa Shields participated in a professional boxing competition against Daniele Perkins at the Dort Financial Center in Flint, Michigan. Mrs. Shields won the fight with a unanimous decision. After the fight, Mrs. Shields submitted an oral sample of screening fluid to detect the presence of controlled substances, alcohol, amplifier, stimulants, drugs that escalate performance or other prohibited substances, including their derivatives or metabolites.
“On February 7, 2025, the Department was informed that Mrs. Shields oral fluid survey indicated a positive result of the presence of marijuana [THC]. According to the applicant (Mrs. Clegg), the presence of the substance states that Mrs. Shields moved in a way that threatens the integrity of professional boxing sport and the safety of professional boxers to the detriment of public interest. In addition, according to a government official, the presence of a forbidden substance states that Mrs. Shields moved in a way that poses an upcoming threat to public interest to professional boxing competitions, justifying the suspension of her license. “
Shields is in the face of the operation of the Michigan Commission, which may cause WBO to be forced to enter.
“As a result, the Department, on behalf of the unarmed combat committee, Michigan, began proceedings in accordance with the Act on administrative procedures Michigan in order to determine whether disciplinary actions should be taken against Mrs. Shields, in whether her name should be listed on one or more domestic ordeal lists of organ suspension.
“Finally, an order summarizing the suspension states that Michigan, an unarmed combat commission, through his agent – a licensing and regulation department, corporations, securities and commercial licensing office – undertakes action against Mrs. Shields.
“In accordance with the order, the Department examined and determined that there is a sufficient reason to state that Mrs. Shields as a licensed professional boxer is a direct threat to the integrity of professional boxing, public interest as well as social welfare and safety of professional athletes, which requires emergency.
“Therefore, an order was issued for suspension of Mrs. Shields’s boxing license, which was in force on the day of release. As a result, the Commission will place the name Mrs. Shields on the national suspension list or will notify the National Managers of the decision to suspend its license. “
The global boxing organization outlined procedures that should be performed to avoid losing the championships.
“The alleged criminal must” show the cause “, providing credible evidence of why the WBO World Championship Committee should not take affirmative actions in the delicate of alleged violations of regulations and/or WBO policy. From the very beginning, we must emphasize that according to the WBO principle, when any WBO master or participant is testing positive for prohibited or prohibited substances, WBO does not have to demonstrate intentions, faults, neglect or knowledge of utilize in the warrior. This is due to the fact that the warrior’s duty is to make sure that no forbidden or forbidden substances will enter their body.
“Fighters are fully responsible for any forbidden or prohibited substances found in their system.”
Finally, WBO revealed an action plan if Shields cannot “show the cause” in this case.
“If the WBO master is found guilty or pleaded guilty of any of the prohibited acts presented above by the competent court with jurisdiction, the WBO World Championship Committee may recommend the President and the WBO Executive Committee that the recognition of the WBO master will be withdrawn and the title has been announced from the date of registered official fault.
“Non -compliance with this order will cause Mrs. Shields to give up all rights and the committee will continue without further hearing or citation.”

Manny Pacquiao was thrown out of his retirement at 46
Published

May 10, 2025
Manny Pacquiao will return to the ring at the age of 46, despite the fact that he will set off to the exhibition circuit after retiring in 2021.
After he missed the fight against Great Britain, Conor Benn, whose team made the Pacquiao offer, Filipino Great fell into the title of WBC.
MP President Sean Gibbons only said worldboxingnews.com about his intentions to face Mario Barrios on May 31, 2024.
Almost a year later, the latest messages were realized.
The right man Pacquiao responded to the sound of Benn and his guide, Eddie Hearna. All parties were initially on board the collision of Saudi Arabia.
Benna’s drug failure delayed negotiations, and Pacquiao moved on. However, WBN believes that Benna’s chase caught Pacquiao into the next fight in the middle of forty.
Pacquiao vs. Barrios is close to finalization. Unlike Benna’s fight, PAC-Man’s victory will significantly affect the current climate of 147 pounds.
Before the possibility of Barrios Pacquiao’s attack, he went for money. He was scratching, faced YouTubers and Kickboxers, as well as associated with influential struggles and aged MMA stars.
Manny pacquiao return
After a few weeks of water testing with fans, another Star Event Las Vegas encouraged Gibbons and Pacquiao to return despite the defeat of the latter with the weaker opponent Yordenis Ugas last time.
After unanimous loss of decision, Pacquiao announced his retirement, but the main boxing masters want to restore the aged hand.
The combination of Gibbons, Barrios, WBC and fans spent Pacquiao back to the pitch to bid one or maybe two more attempts for the end zone.
If Barrios’s fight fails, Brian Norman Jr. It will be open to the Pacquiao second shot dish, provided that he will give a good show on July 19 at the T-Mobile Arena.
PBC will officially announce the return of Pacquiao after his race again became a senator in the Philippines on May 12. Pacquiao’s political career took priority, but WBN understands that Barrios has been going on for months.
The former master gains an unexpected fight for the title despite a penniless performance in a boxing match. Pacquiao looked aged and leisurely when he faces Kickboxer Rukya Anpo and will have to revive the form that defeated the world champion WBA Keith Thurman through a divided decision in 2019.
President of WBC Mauricio Sulaiman is on board when he sees the 46-year-old in the ring again, as did the Stan Sports Commission Nevada.
Pacquiao vs Barrios
Many perceive Barrios as the right challenge in the right time and expect a huge fight with the extension result of the legacy.
If Pacquiao manages to capture the WBC welterweight title, which sneaked out during his career, the boxing legend will break his oldest shortage of welterweight masters by six years.
The fight will take place in the same year Pacquiao will be introduced to the International Gallery of Sław in Canastot in Novel York.
Pacquiao vs. Barrios is set to PBC PPV along with a rematch between Sebastian Fundor vs Tim Tsyzu, which makes him a combat card for the double title of the world title.
