Eimantas Stanionis wants to significantly escalate his activity in 2025, when the WBA welterweight holder hopes to fight three times and get united to the mix.
“I am ready for 2025 to be the largest year in my career. My goal is to defend my title WBA at least three times and unite with all other world champions,” he said. “I want to provide the best in the division and I am ready to face everyone to make it happen.”
If Stanionis (15-0, 9 KO) could achieve three fights in 2025, it would be equal to the total number of fights, which 30-year-old Lithuania reached until August 2021, when he went to contact against Luis Collazo on Fox.
“Luis Collazo on Fox” should tell you everything that you need to know about Stanionis. “
This year, Stanionis fought once, dominating Gabriel Maestre in the title defense on May 4.
Stanionis is still associated with the most vital boxing masters, which can also complicate his efforts to fight three times next year, because PBC simply did not win so many events, although Stanionis can work on the programs of other promoters, in particular if the unification with Jaron Matchroom “Bots” Ennis (IBF) or Brian Norman Jr. (WBO). Mario Barrios has the title of WBC and can be done at home with PBC.
Either way, Stanionis says that he simply focuses on himself and does what he has to do to be ready.
“I put my job here in Lithuania every day,” he said. “Cool weather and hard conditions make me acute and focused. I am preparing for a great fight, and when time comes, I am ready for fans show.”
“He will become the world champion for pounds for pounds is my ultimate goal,” Stanionis added. “I do everything that is possible to realize this, from intensive training to improving my craft. 2025 will be the year in which it will take its place among the best fighters in the world.”
If Stanionis has something in work with PBC, his return can take place on March 1 Pay-Per-view header Gerrvont “Tank” Davis vs Lamont Roach.
