Floyd Schofield’s disease forces Shakur Stevenson to hunt for the last minute exchange
Published
3 days agoon

Floyd Schofield withdrew from his fight with Dazn PPV with a lightweight WBC Shakur Stevenson champion on Saturday evening in Riyadh. Schofield (18-0, 12 KO) is diseased, and Stevenson’s syndrome is quickly looking for a replacement.
I was afraid of it. When Shakur chose Schofield based on his ability to fall on trash on social media, the experience factor was overlooked. Floyd was never on a vast stage and it was stupid to put an unverified warrior on the lightweight of the headlights in a high pressure situation when he never fought at this level.
Will come at the last minute
Stevenson (22-0, 10 KO) will remain on the card, but two substitute opponents are considered satisfactory. According to RingThese are two:
-Moussa Gholam (22-1, 13 KO)
-Sosh Padley (15-0, 4 KO)
Of these two, Padley has a better CV. He recently defeated Marek Chamberlain with a unanimous decision on September 21 at Wembley Stadium in London.
If Shakur and his promoter, Eddie Hearn, choose one of these two fighters as a deputy, Turks Alalshikh must put the fight in the initial part of the event away from the main card. Placing it on YouTube would be a nice gesture, because boxing fans will not be enraged, seeing Shakur fighting the second level warrior who does not have a company in the ring with him. Must Brave this fight so deep on the undercard that nobody sees it – no About sight, from the mind.
Shakur did not fight the great opposition throughout his professional career, especially since moving to the lightweight division in 2023. That is why it is arduous to take him seriously when he says he deserves to fight Gervont Davis and is one of the best warriors in sport. The tender CV Shakura does not carry it.
Shakur’s choice, our problem
This is what you get when you are an opponent for the wrong reasons. Shakur admitted that he chose Floyd Schofield only because of his ability to speak garbage. It was purely superficial reasons. He never beat anyone at the highest level to evaluate the title.
It was a choice of Stevenson. He could choose many options, such as one of those killers: Andy Cruz, Ernesto Mercado, Raymond Muratalla and Edwin de Los Santos. Schofield wanted and this is happening. That is why it is arduous to like Shakur. He boasts himself 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but then he never fights with a good one. He is wrong with this sport. If you are Turks Alaashikh, it would be a good idea to leave Shakur from his future cards and focus on risk.
“I am ready to capture this moment. I am focused. I put in a great training and this is my time – said Shakur Stevenson Boxing boxing On today’s great newcomers to Riyadh for his fight on Saturday evening.
“I am ready to show the world that I am a superstar. I think I am one of the best warriors in boxing sport. The world will know on February 22, “Stevenson said, boasting of himself.

Artur Beterbiev 175 vs. Dmitryry Bivol 174.1 – Weighing the results for Saturday

February 21, 2025
The undisputed lightweight heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev and pretender Dmitry Bivol successfully weighed on Friday during weighing for their headliner Dazn PPV on Saturday, February 22 in Rijada, Saudi Arabia.
The former WBA Bivol (23-1, 12 KO) Master looked in great shape, but he still showed slight bruises under the left eye of tough blows he received from Beterbiev in the previous fight on October 12, four months ago.
During the meeting Beterbiev (21-0, 20 KO) he seemed larger and had a definite appearance for him, as if he was ready to chase Bivol to knock him out this time. Beterbiev came down from knee surgery in the first fight and did not start exerting pressure to the middle point.
Beterbiev dominated the last half of the fight, but many fans remember only the first part. They felt that Bivol won because of his quick start.
Weighing the results
– Artur Beterbiev: 175
– Dmitryry Bivol: 174.1
“I thought it was close, but I made a divided decision to Bivol. I thought he was really well boxed, but you couldn’t argue with Beterbaiew’s decision – said Terenka Crawford to Dazn Boxing, asked who he felt, he deserved to win the first fight between Artur Beterbave and Dmitry Bivol on October 12 last year in Riyjad.
“They both feel that they can make corrections in the second fight,” said Adeladipo. “What do you think, who has to make the most corrections to get in?”
“I think Bivol must make the most corrections, because later in the rounds he was a bit affected, even though he hit a little more. I think he has to do a little more to get a victory – said Crawford.

The first fight was long awaited. After longer expectations, fans could finally find out who was really the king of the lightweight heavyweight division – the strenuous impact of Artur Beterbaview or chess master Dmitra Bivol. The winner would not only remain invincible, but he left the ring as the undisputed world champion in bulky weight. Two men were so evenly matched that it was challenging to predict the winner before. Suffice it to say that the fight itself did not disappoint. The first four rounds witnessed an amazing Bivol skill set when Beterbiev persecuted his man in apparent in vain. Then the fight changed his runs.
Although he was able to maintain his high style of fighting with IQ, Bivol began to be hit by Beterbiv equipment. The fight remained close and intense. There was even a point where Beterbiev was able to briefly support his man. It was certainly a very close fight. Later, the decision of the majority in favor of Beterbaiew meant that Bivol appeared briefly – at least technically. Not everyone was impressed by the judge’s ruling. “Defense loses fights,” said the former world title and broadcaster Chris Algeri, indicating that the judges simply prefer aggressive defense fighters. Whether a man was right depends on the individual. What cannot be argued is the decision of the judges shouted “rematch”.
And now the rematch will fall on Saturday in Saudi Arabia. The main event of an incredibly arranged card, Beterbiv-Bivol 2 may, but do not have to decide once and for everyone who is better from the two future Hall of Fame fighters, but it promises to be an extremely compelling matter. There is a good chance that the second match will be very similar to the first – with several essential differences. For example, Beterbiev slowly began in the first fight. This time it can speed up the tempo to get valuable rounds.
On the other hand, Bivol will almost certainly focus on not being hit for the second time. The man had a great start in the first fight. If this time he could simply stop Beterbaview for the next round or two, he could really make a difference. Petting, it will be the battle of all. Every second will count. So who will win? Algeri may have been right – defensive fighters, as a rule, may not be considered aggressive treatment of fighters. In this case, on Saturday there is nothing that Bivol cannot do … except for the extremely challenging governing against him thanks to the almost legendary performance. And he can do it.
Judgment: Bivol based on a divided decision. Get ready at Beterbiv-Bivol 3.

What is the best fight that can be made as a result of February 22?

February 21, 2025Before Saturday’s gigantic night boxing in Riyjad, the BoxingScene band looks at the future at what they expect will happen in Saudi Arabia, and during a promotion covering many competitions worthy of main events, he discusses which best fight that can take place.
Tris Dixon: Of course, he thinks now that two moves forward – the result, and then the next fight – but if Shakur Stevenson looks right towards Josh Padley, I imagine that the hustle and bustle of Davis’s “tank” will be deafening, and then all eyes will be turned on Tank -LaMont Roach JNR March 1.
Kieran Mulvaney: Winner of the main event against David Benavidez.
LANCE PUGMIRE: Both Tris and Kieran are right. We get such a high-quality fight against Saudi Arabia that greed in the US expects that Benavidez will fight the winner of Beterbaview-Bivol-Bringing the trilogy match-and find a way to recruit-Shakur Stevenson, who should take Padley to school on Saturday.
Tom Ivers: I must say that the winner of Beterbiv-Bivol II against David Benavidez-especially if Beterbiv wins again. Two men who have never taken a pace in their lives – I honestly don’t know how the fight takes place between them. Also a special mention of Martin Bakole – if he wins on Saturday, the fight against Dubois, Usyk or Joshua is huge.
Ryan Songalia: I think that the most significant answer is the winner of Beterbaview-Bivol II against David Benavidez. In the case of something less obvious, I would say that Martin Bakole-Zhilei Zhang, provided that they both win. It would be a type of shooting in the heavyweight of George Lyle.
Owen Lewis: Benavidez against the winner of Beterbaview-Bivol. Stevenson-Gervonta “Tank” Davis is a duel we have dreamed of for some time, but it seems that we have to beg. Benavidez has four fights with high-quality opponents, and both Beterbav and Bivol seem willing to fight him, so I prefer Benavidez a great fight, which he deserves, than risk disappointment Stevenson-Davis, not materializing again.
Matt Christie: I completely agree with those who said Beterbiev or Bivol compared to David Benavidez. If you want something more after removing from the box, what about the winner of Ortiz-Madrimov invites “shoes” to play?
Eric Raskin: I agree with most of my colleagues and say Benavidez versus the winner Beterbaviev-Bivol II-I will be a little more detailed and I will say that Beterbiv is on Saturday and being a champion whose challenge Benavidez gives fans the best possible stylistic match-up.
David Greisman: How about a fight between Vergil Ortiz Jnr and Bakhram Murtazaliev? If anything can surpass Ortiz-Bahachuk violence, it is evaporation.
Declan Warrington: The winner of Madrimov-Ortiz JNR against most other leading juniors of medium weight. Even when Terenka Crawford was taken out of the photo by its existence, to fight in a super middle weight against Saul Alvarez in September, Madrimov or Ortiz Jnr is tested against Bakhram Murtazaliv, Sebastian Fund, Serhia Bohachuk to win, or ultimately and ultimately and ultimately We hope to rebuild TIM Tych deserves to be the main event. If Crawford is to be still considered a younger medium weight, this is probably the most attractive weight ward of all.
Elliot Worsell: David Benavidez against the winner of Beterbaview-Bivol II seems quite logical to me.
Lucas Ketelle: Shakur Stevenson-Gervonta Davis-if Stevenson has a breakthrough performance.
Jason Langendorf: Regardless of all ordinary reservations-a century, health, possible trilogy, etc.-the obvious answer is the winner of Beterbaview-Bivol II against Benavidez. I would also be a lift to see Tank-Stevenson-but only when Shakur stands there.
