Promotions of the highest rank and ESPN reportedly go in separate ways

In what is probably not a surprise, it is not to the top -class promotion for anyone and ESPN, apparently separate ways when their partnership is legally ended this summer. While ESPN certainly put great matches there, the highest rank seemed to be pushed to the side by UFC. In a world where boxing is now all over the world by tensioning its muscles, the most critical American sports network has clearly lost interest in sweet science. Perhaps, if the highest rank had huge names, such as Tank Davis and Ryan Garcia in their stable things, could work differently. Although he has known names, such as Nayya Inoue, the highest rank does not seem much on the road to the crossover.

Of course, nothing is official yet, so you never know, but the report here – from the ring, first, and then others – seems to be widely accepted. In fact, it has never been a great partnership. Yes, in recent years there have been great fights, including more than one with the participation of Vasyl Lomachenko, but often combat cards did not start even tardy on Saturday evenings, on the east coast. Simply put, there were and there are better places for the highest rank. After all, the Bob Arum Helmed organization remains one of the most powerful boxing forces.

Considering this, sport certainly goes through a strange time that could take it exponentially or hurt if/when Saudi money ends. However, the Saudis deserve to be considered to be provided by the delivery of one main card on the other (I hope that the trend will continue). Indeed, he can replace Las Vegas as the heart and soul of this sport. However, this is not only intensive Saudi interest that change things into the head. In general, it is now a stream sport, not a television.

Not that streaming makes such a substantial difference. After all, a broadcast fight is a transmitting fight. Still, there are signs that the venerable way of doing things is over. It can be a good or bad thing again. Only time will show. In the meantime, there are many good fights to enjoy … Only you will not be able to watch them on ESPN soon. In this way, it is worth remembering that boxing turned out to be the most pliant sport from a decade after a decade until the 19th century.

There is no reason to think that the trend will not be continued.

Live results

Today’s event will be shown at DAZN PPV for USD 24.99 in the USA and $ 19.95 in Great Britain. Eubank Jr. (34-3, 25 KO) did not hit on Friday, reaching only slightly above the average weight limit at 169.05 pounds. Apparently, he is punished for a steep $ 500,000. His weight was slender and seemed frail from weight loss.

Today, it will be compelling to check whether Eubank Jr. It shows any of the bad effects of the double Whammis from two weights. If he is exhausted, he gives Conor a chance to overwhelm him with his aggressive style. 28 -year -old Benn moves from a welterweight to fight and needed weight impairment.

Nobody knows how good Benn is promoted by the match because he has never behaved against real pretenders before. His experience is circumscribed to elderly veterans and a variety of fighters with whom these guys stand at the beginning of their career. His promoter, Eddie Hearn, has never had the opportunity to match Benna with a good opposition.

Complete card

Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn – the main event
Anthony Yarde vs. Lyndon Arthur 3-Cooperation
Liam Smith vs. Aaron McKenna
Viddal Riley vs. Cheavon Clarke
Chris Billam-Smith vs. Brandon Glanton

Anthony Yarde will fight Lyndon Arthur for the third time in the coefficient of Cruisher Anthony Yarde. This fight takes place more for fans in Great Britain. They have already fought enough time and should face another opposition. This is a strange match that is senseless for every guy.

Benn will face the first real test against Eubank Jr. on Saturday

Published

Image: Benn Faces First True Test Against Eubank Jr. on Saturday

Chris Eubank Jr. He told the media today during the last press conference Dazn PPV that he thinks that Conor Benn is feeling pressure before the Saturday fight at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in London. Beard, distinguished Conor (23-0, 14 KO) denied, saying that he was “alive”. Benn claims that he “lit the first 100 times.”

He did not say who he ever fought in the fight for pressure during his nine-year career, because this is his first real fight with a semi-level fighter, although on an older side at the age of 36. Benn for the first time in his long career.

“I live it”

Conor made a fairly effortless ride with Eddie Hearn promoter, keeping him at the national level and without placing him on coarse seas, where he could be defeated many times by his rivals in 147.

Benna’s last four wins:

  1. Peter Dobson
  2. Rodolfo Orozco
  3. Chris Van Heerden
  4. Chris Algieri

There are many signs of questions about both of these fighters, because none of them beat anyone. Eubank JR career is based on the victories over Venerable James Degal and Liam Smith. They were both in the mid -1930s and nowhere near what they used to be when he fought them. These guys have never been a crop cream when they were in their career.

“I think Conor feels pressure and warmth. I think that in a few days he will fill him much more,” said Chris Eubank Jr. Final press conference for fighting Conor Bennem.

“Without pressure. I live for it. I lit a fire 100 times in my head,” said Conor Benn, who never fought with a world-class opponent during his nine-year career. “I am excited that I can get there and put my hands on him on Saturday evening. All the garbage he is talking about. We’re not at school. Come on Saturday evening, I can put my hands on him.”

Ring display

Fans wondered today Why the Ring magazine bar was displayed Between Eubank Jr. And Benne during today’s conference of the last press conference.

Usually, the Ring magazine strap should be threatened with the participation of two excellent fighters in the weight class. Eubank Jr. (34-3, 25 KO) and Benn are not one of the best at 160 and even close to him.

Fans in social media asked about the logic of displaying the ring belt between these two. They consider this to create a false noise so that two warriors seem the best, especially for random fans who are not familiar with the level at which these two operate. It’s like having military ribbons with a handful of fruit salad [ribbons] Displayed before the private first class. This gives a false impression. There should be no lane on the line for Eubank JR-Fenn, because none of them deserved.

If the exposed Ring magazine belt is more about the brand and promotional efforts, it would be good to inform the fans. Otherwise, it gives the impression that this lane will be able to get the fight Eubank JR-Benn. It would be a melancholy joke, because none of these warriors could compete with the united medium weight champion Janibek Alimkh

“Sounds like AF *** Dziwak”: Thomas Lamanna reacts to the derogatory Jermalla Charlo

Image: "He Sounds Like a F*** Weirdo": Thomas LaManna Reacts to Jermall Charlo's Derogatory Remarks

Jermall Charlo destroyed his opponent today, Thomas Lamanna, repeatedly calling him “butt” And he clearly upset him during a virtual press conference to promote a 10-round fight at PBC in Prime Video on May 31 at Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas.

33-year-old Lamanna was low during a virtual press conference, but Charlo decided to offend him, marking him as “asshole”. It didn’t make sense to offend him because he was not brought as a pretender at the highest level. If Jermall thinks Lamanna is an asshole, why did he agree to fight him?

Charlo could choose a good one like Oslyys Iglesias, and he would take the opportunity to fight him. I don’t think Jermall is physically able to fight someone with Iglesias without blurring. He lost too much from the game from about four years of inactivity.

Persistent effects?

Charlo did not sound or looked good today, looking half. He could barely open his eyes.

Today he was disturbingly leisurely and did not sound like he used to be in his career. It is not clear whether his fighting with Sergiy Derevyanchenko and Juan Macias Montiel had an impact on him, causing he spoke released because of. It sounded groggy.

I hope that Jermall can still fight because he can lose to Lamanna. In the last fight of his Charlo two years ago against Jose Benavidez JR looked as if there was only 60% of what he was once, paying a 29-month release. It has now been turned off for two years and can be at 50%. Is it enough for Jermall to defeat Lamanna? Probably, but he will not cope well with the plant, Berlanga or anyone who will face if it is half -decent.

The former world champion with two Charlo divisions (33-0, 22 KO) returns after two years of release and uses Lamanna (39-5-1, 18 KO) to pull out rust to prepare him for a greater fight.

Thomas Lamanna: “This is the biggest fight in my life. He is who he is and we will reach it,” said Lamanna during today Virtual PBC press conference. “It was the biggest name and the biggest opportunity. Yes, why not?

Jermall Charlo: “This is a larger fish for frying and I just hope that Thomas can return to his elated family,” said Jermall, asked what he can’t wait for when he fights with Lamanna on May 31. “I just want the best, Thomas. I don’t mean any harm. I’m ready to go back to the ring. These two years helped me. These two years stronger.

Lamanna: “I do not let the houses get into my head. It sounds like af **** Dziwak. Ancient, like, frosty.”

Jermall: “Makes nippy.”

Lamanna: “Close me then.”

Jermall: “You af *** bum”.

Lamanna: “What are you talking about. Close.”
