The Mexican president Claudia Sheinbaum confirmed the message at her daily press conference.
“I understand that he was deported. I don’t know if it was yesterday or this morning, but we were informed that he arrives in Mexico,” Sheinbaum said.
39 -year -old Chávez had an arrest warrant in Mexico for the alleged arms and drug trafficking and connections with the Sinaloa cartel. Alejandro Gertz Mamaro, the General Prosecutor of Mexico, said that the investigation in the Chávez case began in 2019.
