Janibek Alimkhanuly ruthlessly added the IBF middleweight title to his WBO crown with a six-round victory over the outmatched Vincenzo Gualtieri in Rosenberg, Texas.

After being promoted to full WBO champion, the Kazakhstan stopped the thrilling Denzel Bentley in his first defense and then defeated Steven Butler in two rounds in his last fight. Gualtieri had never fought outside his native Germany, and in July he won the vacant IBF belt, defeating Esquiva Falcao twice en route to a points victory.

Gualtieri (21-1-1, KO7) never had a chance to unify here, but landed the first significant punch of the fight with a right hand in the first round, but Janibek (15-0, KO10) landed a jab in the second that seemed the German’s ambitions would then be constrained. Janibek he was ecstatic to upshift whenever he felt like it, and a double push in the fifth brought Gualtieri to his knees and the end seemed a matter of time. That came a round later when an uppercut hurt Gualtieri and Janibek sensed the end was near and a volley of bulky punches forced the referee to step in.

Keyshawn Davis (10-0, KO6) remained undefeated, but only by a hair, as he defended his WBC USA and WBO Intercontinental lightweight belts with a majority nod against Nahir Albright (16-3, KO7). Davis won by scores of 97-93 and 96-94, with the third judge ruling the score 95-95.

Duke Ragan (9-0, KO1) also had to survive a scare, as he was knocked down in the fifth round of his featherweight fight with Jose Perez (11-2-2, KO5). Ragan cruised through split decisions, scoring 76-75 twice with Perez scoring the same.

Guido Vianello (11-1-1, KO9) returned to winning ways, and the heavyweight fighter won in eight rounds over Curtis Harper (14-10, KO9). Humberto Galindo (14-3-2, KO11) and Oscar Bravo (25-13-1, KO11) fought until the eighth round in the lightweight division, and Kelvin Davis won on the cards against Narciso Carmona (11-2-1, KO6) and super lightweight.

In six rounds, Alan Garcia (10-0, KO8) won all six lightweight rounds against Nelson Hampton (10-8, KO6), and heavyweight hope Richard Torrez Jr (7-0, KO7) stopped Tyrrell Anthony Herndon (21-21-). 5, KO14) in the second round. Giovanni Marquez (7-0, KO5) won in the same round against Donte Strayhorn (12-5-1, KO4) in a super lightweight fight. Jakhongir Zokirov (1-0, KO1) made his debut and defeated Guillermo Del Rio (4-5-1, KO2) in the fourth and final round of their heavyweight fight.

Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva

Jake Paul defeated Anderson Silva along the way and won a 6-0 unanimous decision over the former MMA champion.
Jake Paul defeated Anderson Silva along the way and won a 6-0 unanimous decision over the former MMA champion.

At the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona, Jake Paul returned as a boxer and won a unanimous decision over eight rounds over UFC legend Anderson Silva.

Paul (6-0, KO4) turned professional in January 2020 and set an undefeated record against a diet of fellow YouTube personalities and former sports stars, with his most recent victory being a sixth-round rematch knockout of former UFC champion Tyron Woodley in December last year. He faced another former martial artist here, 47-year-old Brazilian Silva (3-2, KO2) coming off a win over the heavily faded Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and Tito Ortiz, whom Silva dropped in a round in September 2021.

In this one, Paul kept his frigid, using plenty of feints and jabs to keep Silva guessing. Silva was competitive, though, landing decent combinations and also finding room for a few uppercuts during the competition. Paul had the advantage in the eighth and final round of that catchweight fight and secured the victory by landing a tiny right hand that knocked Silva down. The South American got back on his feet and survived the round, reaching the final bell.

Paul won by scores of 78-73 (twice) and 77-74, remaining undefeated.

He then immediately took to the mic and called out UFC’s Nate Diaz and even Saul “Canelo” Alvarez.

On the card below, Ashton Sylve (8-0, KO8) remained excellent as a professional, defeating Braulio Rodriguez (20-5, KO17) in just over a minute of their eight-round lightweight bout. A left hook followed by an uppercut did the damage.

Shadasia Green (11-0, KO10) is quickly building her reputation, and the American scored another early victory, this time beating Ogleidis Suarez (30-5-1, KO14) in the fifth round of a scheduled eight-fight super middleweight bout.

Alexandro Santiago (27-3-5, KO13) defeated Antonio Nieves (20-4-2, KO11) in a ten-round bantamweight bout before Nieves was forced to withdraw between rounds seven and eight. At the time of his arrest, Santiago was in excellent shape.

Jeremiah Milton (7-0, KO6) stopped Quintin Sumpter (5-1, KO4) in the fifth round of their eighth heavyweight bout, and Danny Barrios Flores (11-0, KO2) won a six-round decision over Edgar Ortiz Jr. (8-4-2, KO4) super bantamweight.

Uriah Hall (1-0, KO1), a former UFC fighter, took a four-round decision against Le’Veon Bell (0-1), a former NFL cruiserweight.

Chris Avila (2-1, KO0) fought all four rounds against Mikhail Varshavski (0-1), also in the cruiserweight division.

Bright Edwards made a routine third defense of his IBF flyweight title, defeating Felix Alvarado at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield.

Edwards (19-0, 4 KO) won the title with a stunning points victory in April 2021 against Moruti Mthalane and made two defenses in Dubai with wins over Jayson Mama and Muhammad Waseem on the cards, while Alvarado (38-3, 33 KO) he previously reigned as the 2018-2021 IBF lightweight flyweight champion, defending twice before moving up to a higher weight class.

Edwards made a familiar, elusive start and the challenger struggled to pin down the Croydon fighter in the first round.

In the second half, the Nicaraguan had more success with wing-to-body shots, but the champion performed solidly in defense.

‘It’s show time’ in the third quarter, he hit a keen counterattack and although the guy kept pushing forward, the 26-year-old was one step ahead of him and reprimanded any primitive forward movements of his opponent.

Edwards fired mostly at the gloves and arms and was largely in control, but Alvarado began to get into an argument midway through pure pressure.

However, the home favorite fought to regain control in the championship rounds, avoiding trouble and frustrating Alvarado, landing impressive series in the process.

The fight went to the cards, with two scores of 115-113 and the third score of 116-112 ensuring “Showtime” defended its crown.

Edwards has called for a fight with former American super flyweight world champion Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez, who is expected to move up to flyweight.

Masoud marches alongside Bateson

Shabaz Masoud won the WBA Intercontinental super bantamweight title and British title eliminator, defeating Jack Bateson in the twelfth and final round of their meeting.

The 26-year-old also won the Ali Tazeem commemorative trophy.

A counter combination led to a final-round knockdown of Masoud (11-0, 4 KO), putting an exclamation point on what had been an eye-catcher, and while Bateson (17-1, 4 KO) survived the count, another attack by “Maverick” forced the fight to be stopped. as the Leeds fighter dropped towards the bottom rope.

Braithwaite defeats Essomba

In a tumultuous fight, the final eliminator for the British super flyweight title was won by Marcel Braithwaite, who scored a split decision over twelve rounds against Thomas Essomba.

One of the judges awarded Essomba 116-113 (11-8-1, 4 KO), but Braithwaite (14-3) deservedly secured the victory by scores of 117-111 and 116-114.

Braithwaite weighed in at over 114 pounds, so it’s unclear whether he’ll be fielded for a future Lonsdale Belt fight.

Undercard remaining

2020 Olympic gold medalist Hebert Conceicao was present in Sheffield and the Brazilian was largely unimpressive but untested in a winning six-round points victory over Gideon Onyenani (4-2). Conceicao (3-0, 1 KO) won every round.

Levi Kinsiona was upset when the Sheffield lightweight was defeated in eight rounds in his fight against Alin Florin.

Kinsiona (9-3, 1 KO) suffered a grave injury in the later rounds and it was a close fight that would have been a welcome rematch. Florin (17-3, 7 KO) scored a 77-76 victory on the judge’s scorecard.

Ishmael Davis (10-0, 4 KO) remained undefeated, and the middleweight fighter had to stop the fight with German Dustin Ammann (7-8, 5 KO) in the fifth round.

Nicola Campbell (10-1, 2 KO) scored a six-point victory in her opening super middleweight match against Frane Radnic (11-35, 10 KO).

Lisa Whiteside extended her undefeated streak as the super bantamweight champion scored over eight rounds against Eva Cantos.

Judge Michael Alexander awarded the score 79-74.

Lithe heavyweight Bradley Cousins (4-1) returned to winning ways with a points victory over Genadij Krajevski (0-42).

Janibek Alimkhanuly defended his WBO middleweight world title at the Palms in Las Vegas, scoring points and defeating Denzel Bentley.

Janibek (13-0, KO8) won an interim version of the world title in May with a two-round knockout of overmatched Danny Dignum and was promoted to full champion status following Demetrius Andrade’s decision to escalate weight.

Bentley (17-2-1, KO14) was selected for the first voluntary defense of the Kazakh’s title, and he entered this defense as a two-time British champion, after taking over the vacant Lonsdale Belt belt in May, he won a split decision against Linus Udofia, and defended in September , stopping Marcus Morrison in four.

It was expected to be a one-sided victory for the champion, but the Battersea native forced him to work tough at night.

The Londoner had a tardy start, however, as Janibek landed a left hook that caught Bentley’s attention in the first set, and the combination secured the champion’s victory in the second half. Another huge left hand kept Bentley off balance in round three, and a brief right hook just before the bell spun Bentley as he struggled to gain footing. However, Bentley woke up in the fifth and after eating the chin, his reaction was to attack, with an uppercut of his own and a right hand forcing Janibek to retreat.

Precise shots to the head and body earned Bentley sixth place, and he also finished solidly in seventh and eighth, knocking Janibek’s head back with his right hand. Bentley also seemed to have the better in the ninth period, but in the championship rounds “Qazaq Style” regained his composure, stunning Bentley with a left hook in the tenth, and his left also caused damage in the penultimate frame. In the final round, another left hand staggered Bentley and he went for the kill, but the challenger bravely held on and made it to the final bell.

Two balances of 116-112 and a too high score of 118-110 confirmed Janibek’s victory, although it was not an uncomplicated victory at all.

On Senies’ lower card, Estrada (23-0, KO9) made her Top Rank debut, and “Superbad” routinely defended her WBA minimum weight world title, defeating Argentine Jazmin Gala Villarino (6-2-2, KO1) on points. Estrada won by three scores of 100-90.

Lightweight prospect Raymond Muratalla (16-0, KO13) remained undefeated as the Californian stopped Miguel Contreras (12-2-1, KO6) in the sixth of a scheduled eight rounds.

In the remaining eight rounds, Carlos Balderas (14-1, KO12) won with less than two minutes before the end of the lightweight fight against Esteban Sanchez (18-3, KO8).

In six rounds, Javier Martinez (8-0, KO2) scored a sufficient points victory over Marco Delgado (7-5, KO5) in the super middleweight, while in the heavyweight division Antonio Mireles (6-0, KO6) maintained his good form 100%. record thanks to his win in the first round against Eric Perry (5-1-1, KO5). In the super bantamweight division, Floyd Diaz (8-0, KO3) defeated Edgar Joe Cortes (9-7-1, KO1) in the fourth round.

In four rounds of the lightweight category, Charlie Sheehy (5-0, KO4) defeated Markus Bowes (2-1, KO2) in the first round, and Emiliano Vargas (2-0, KO2) defeated Julio Martinez (1-1, KO1) in the second round ).
