Arnold Barboza Jr vs Keneth Sims Jr – substantial fight preview and predictions
Published
1 hour agoon
Gigantic boxing returns to Anaheim this weekend as Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy promotes Arnold Barboza Jr (32-1) to fight Kenneth Sims Jr (22-3-1).
Sims Jr is Barboza Jr’s first test after losing a unanimous decision in his last match.
The 34-year-old was outclassed last time he faced Teofimo Lopez for the WBO super lightweight crown.
He was scored on all three judges’ scorecards, with two scoring him 112-116 and the third scoring him 110-118.
The Lopez vs. Barboza Jr fight took place on the historic Times Square card last May.
After over nine months of break, he returns for the first time, this time in the welterweight division.
Barboza Jr last fought at welterweight in 2019, where he forced Ricky Sismundo to retire in the fourth round.
Since moving up to super lightweight, the 34-year-old has scored several impressive victories against Sean McComb, Jose Carlos Ramirez and Jack Catterall.

His opponent, Sims Jr, is no exaggeration despite having three defeats to his name.
Sam Sims Jr last suffered a loss when he was defeated by majority decision against Oscar Duarte Jurado in August.
Before the defeat in the last match, “Bossman” was in good form, recording nine wins in the series.

Prediction: Barboza Jr should have more than enough to be confirmed to compete in the welterweight division.
Oscar Collazo vs. Jesus Haro
The co-main event sees one of the lower weight classes’ most thrilling stars return to action.
Oscar Collazo (13-0) will enter the bout undefeated with an impressive 77% knockout rate against Jesus Haro (13-3).
His last appearance was in September, when he scored a victory over Jayson Vayson, whom he stopped in the seventh.

Collazo has held the WBO minimumweight world title since May 2023, when he forced Melvin Jerusalem to retire on his stool after the seventh round.
Haro, 23, is fighting for a world title for the first time in his career, so he will be looking to cause an upset.
He lost on his debut by split decision and has since been defeated twice in the last five years.
Despite the losses, Haro has as many wins as Collazo entering the competition.

In May 2025, he defeats Jaime Guevara by knockout in the fourth round.
Prediction: Collazo should take his eleventh career break and it will prove to be too much for the 23-year-old.
Gabriela Fundora vs. Viviana Ruiz Corredor
Undisputed flyweight world champion Gabriela Fundora (17-0) returns to action on Saturday against Viviana Ruiz Corredor (10-2).
He puts all his belts on the line against Ruiz Corredor.
Fundora is on a remarkable 17-fight win streak since making his professional debut in 2021.
She won her first world title just two years after her debut in 2023, when she defeated Arely Mucino in the fifth round.
“Sweet Poison” enters this weekend’s fight on a three-fight winning streak, all coming in seven.
At just 23 years elderly, Fundora is one of the brightest stars in the sport and may look to fight in multiple weight classes in the future.
Prediction: Should have more than enough to stop a fourth straight fight against Corredor, who has never finished a match before the final bell.
Undercard remaining
Elsewhere in the event, former world title challenger Alexis Rocha (25-2-1) will face veteran campaigner Joseph Diaz (34-8-1) in a welterweight clash that will see Rocha fight for ten rounds.
There are also plenty of undefeated prospects, with Joel Iriarte (9-0) looking to maintain his perfect record against Rock Dodler Myrthil (17-2-1), and Fabian Guzman (9-0) also expected to be favored to extend his unbeaten streak against Julian Delgado (9-1).
Daniel Garcia (12-0) vs Blas Ezequiel Caro (12-9) in a airy heavyweight bout and will likely be confident of keeping his record intact, while Cayden Griffiths (7-0) will face Omar Ulises Gutierrez Munguia (8-2-1) and Grant Flores (12-0) will face Rashid Stevens (6-1-2) and several Gold contenders The boy is impressive on the card.

Anthony Joshua abandons the UK for Dubai as the boxing star moves amid terrifying scenes in the Middle East

Anthony Joshua has made a surprising decision to leave the UK move to Dubaidespite the ongoing US-Iran conflict affecting the United Arab Emirates. Joshua, 36, has confirmed that he intends to become a resident of the United Arab Emirates, even as the desert city faces Iranian drone attacks.
The former Watford-born heavyweight world champion of Nigerian descent represented Great Britain and won gold at the 2012 London Olympics. However, according to the website, he is currently leaving his homeland Daily Mail.
Joshua’s unexpected move was revealed in documents he filed on Friday in connection with his £150m business empire, in which he must declare his country of residence. The documents show that Joshua decided to change his residence status in the face of a military attack involving the US, Israel and Iran.

Over the past 10 days, the United Arab Emirates has been targeted by Iran with missiles and drones, prompting more than 100,000 Britons to try to evacuate the Middle East nation and return to the UK. While the climate and amenities are the main attraction for those looking to live in Dubai, the city is preferred by the wealthy due to its lack of income tax.
Joshua would be subject to UK tax on dividend payments of £10.1m in 2024 and £6.3m in 2023. His company Sparta Promotions also reported profits of £20.396m and paid £6.65m of UK tax in 2024. Joshua’s decision coincides with the same week that Rio Ferdinand and Kate Ferdinand revealed how live in Dubai during the US-Iran conflict.
“It was a different week for me, I’m not going to lie,” former Manchester United defender Ferdinand said last Monday. “First of all, I’m in great shape this morning because the whole family went to training. A bit like during Covid, the whole family is doing things we wouldn’t normally do together. Some home learning today.
“It’s scary when you hear rockets and planes and fighter jets – I don’t know what they are – flying over us, and you hear huge bombs, and what we don’t know because we don’t know the details of where they came from. It’s telling the kids what it is and helping them get through this moment, which is significant especially as the dad of the house. You want to stay peaceful and keep everyone as peaceful as possible.”
“I have to be truthful, it was a bit of a scary situation, but at the same time, strangely enough, I felt very protected and well looked after. My studio became my bunker. We were advised to go down to the basement the first evening when the noise started and we slept down here with duvets and stuff. We operate the space wisely.”

Kate has assured fans of her safety amid concerns over the first series of missile attacks in Dubai. She said on Instagram: “Thank you for all the messages and sorry for the silence, I didn’t want to worry you, I just couldn’t find the words. We are protected.
“The government is doing an amazing job maintaining this and despite my nerves I feel we are in very good hands. We are hoping for a calmer evening, last night was very scary. Although Cree and Shae were delighted with the place as they couldn’t believe we were all staying in the basement.”
“Thank you for all your prayers. This whole experience has been very eye-opening and I pray for everyone affected. Much love to all.”
Joshua is set to join a long list of celebrities to relocate to Dubai, with former boxer Amir Khan and Hollywood star Lindsey Lohan among others settling in Dubai.

Jarrell Miller boldly predicts the Deontay Wilder vs. Derek Chisora fight
Published

March 5, 2026
Jarrell Miller shared his thoughts on the course of the blockbuster fight between Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora.
Wilder will face Chisora on April 4 at the O2 Arena and Miller has revealed who he thinks has the advantage.
April 4 marks the 50th fight of the careers of “The Bronze Bomber” and “Del Boy,” and the loser will likely retire.
Miller spoke to Up-to-date Betting Offers and honestly admitted that the threat from Wilder has diminished in recent years.
“Deontay’s skills deteriorated when he changed coaches.
“I feel like if Wilder stuck to his name, being a wild man and fighting wild and doing wild shit, he would still be a guy who is threatening.
“But when you try to tame the beast and become a boxer, he’s not a boxer. He’s never been through boxing the conventional way, and now you’re trying to change his style. It’s not working for him.
“Style makes fights, and Chisora has a style that definitely hurts him.”
Before his trilogy with Tyson Fury, “The Bronze Bomber” had a staggering record of 40 wins, 39 of which came by stoppage.
However, he has emerged as a different fighter in recent years, looking timid in back-to-back losses to Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang on Riyadh Season shows.
He last appeared on the field in June 2025, when he stopped Tyrrell Herndon in the seventh round.

Miller continued and talked about the skills Chisora possesses that could lead him to a huge victory in what he promises will be the last fight of his career.
“Chisora is one of those guys who is so sturdy.
“He is very powerful mentally. He has a physically fit engine.
“He may look tired, but he can still fight. Deontay I can’t fight tired, not like this Chisora yes.

“So I think Chisora is in it. The best man wins, but I think Chisora will get him.”
Chisora is on a three-fight winning streak following his loss to Tyson Fury in 2022.
He went the distance in all three contests, scoring unanimous victories over Gerald Washington, Joe Joyce and Otto Wallin in the final stoppage.
