Boxing icon Floyd Mayweather spent Christmas adding to his lucrative property portfolio with a lavish £15.7million purchase. The 47-year-old’s up-to-date mansion is located on Sixth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan and reportedly occupies almost a quarter of the block.

Mayweather began his property journey in October, purchasing 60 properties for £315 million. His interest in his latest purchase stemmed from his spending at the stores down the street.

The building, located at the southeast corner of the intersection at 47th Street, consists of offices, several jewelry stores and a huge billboard. This is an attractive part of Recent York City, located a few minutes east of Broadway and three blocks south of Radio City Music Hall and Rockefeller Center.

“I used to shop at the diamond exchange as a juvenile adult,” Mayweather said TMZwho first broke the news. “I never thought I would own this essential property at the entrance to 47th Street.

“With demanding work and dedication, anything is possible.”

A few months ago, Mayweather began his real estate spree and bought the Versace mansion in Miami. He has purchased 60 properties in Recent York, a decision that will see his net worth skyrocket.

The American is reportedly worth around £1.5 billion. Thanks to his investments, his personal brand will be observable in the public eye.

Mayweather’s boxing career ended with a perfect 50-0 record. Interestingly, his fights included 27 knockouts and 12 world titles in five different weight classes. His total record is 26 consecutive world title wins.

However, Mayweather has not fought in competition since defeating UFC star Conor McGregor in a crossover boxing match in 2017. He won by TKO in the 10th round, marking the 50th victory of his career. Mayweather was expected to earn at least £80 million for the fight.

The Michigan-born star hasn’t been tempted to come out of retirement yet. He shared the ring in an exhibition fight with Logan Paul in 2021, but it seems unlikely he will face any of Jake Paul, Tommy Fury or KSI any time soon.

Instead, Mayweather could continue to expand his real estate portfolio. He could have made millions on his latest purchases.

Tyson Fury’s retirement fears are allayed as epic Wembley superfight looms – EXCLUSIVE

Published

on

Tony Bellew believes that a Wembley clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will definitely happen at some point before the Gypsy king hangs up his gloves.

Fury is yet to confirm his next move after losing on points to Oleksandr Usyk in their long-awaited rematch. The Morecambe fighter was unable to gain revenge after his previous defeat in their original fight back in May.

A few days after the rematch, it was suggested that Fury might decide to retire from boxing. He briefly retired in 2022, but many are now wondering if he could hang up his gloves for good after back-to-back losses.

In an interview with Express Sport before the fight, Bellew admitted that he would be surprised if Fury pulled out without fighting Joshua.

“I don’t think this ship will ever sail,” he said. “You’re telling me you couldn’t get 100,000 to go to Wembley to watch these two fight? I think you’d get 50,000 at the press conference. It’s coming, it’s being broadcast. It’s on the charts and on the boards.

“Everyone wants to see it. The melancholy thing is that this looks like it will happen when both products are slightly past their expiration date. It looks like that will be the case [Floyd] Mayweather i [Manny] Pacquiao all over again. It was held back and held back.

“You have to remember that the only person who signed up for these fights and didn’t back out is Anthony Joshua. He signed a contract to fight Fury, he signed a contract to fight [Deontay] Wilder, he fought Usyk twice, he fought [Wladimir] Klitschko

“All these people signed up to fight and they backed out on him. He signed a contract to fight Tyson Fury, and Fury had to withdraw due to Wilder’s arbitration. He signed a contract with Wilder and Wilder backed out because of the mess that was with Fury.

“That’s how it is. It’s really a mess, but one day this fight will 100 percent happen. It’s huge. “It is a huge hit and will probably go down in history as the biggest domestic boxing match in history.”

The long-awaited clash between Fury and Joshua has been discussed for many years but never materialized. An agreement to organize the fight in Saudi Arabia was close to being agreed in 2021, but ultimately the talks ended in failure.

Time will tell whether Bellew’s predictions will come true, even though both fighters recovered from losses and did not hold the belts between them.

Bellew spoke to Express Sport as a brand ambassador Men on a mission campaign in conjunction with DRINKiQ AND Men’s shedsraising awareness of mental health and unhealthy drinking patterns among men over 50.

“We know that statistics tell us that one in four men aged 50 to 75 think almost nothing about their well-being and mental health,” he explained.

“It’s not really talked about. It’s like a taboo topic. They don’t really want to talk about it, they don’t feel the need to. They actually think it’s frail. These are the guests who turn to drink.

“Before you know it, the problem is upon you, it’s getting bigger and something has to be done about it. We need to be out there talking to men of this age and letting them know there are other things to do, because it is, it’s so difficult.”
