Mike Tyson refers to Jake Paul’s boxing skills and sums him up perfectly

Boxing great Mike Tyson has issued a stern warning to social media sensation Jake Paul while gently praising his opponent.
Before their sensational clash, Tyson stated in an interview: Fox4Dallas: “He can fight, for boxers of his level. I don’t believe [he can compete at my level].
Iron Mike will make a monumental return to the ring next month against YouTube star Paul, which will be Tyson’s first professional fight since hanging up his gloves in 2005 following a defeat to Kevin McBride. In contrast, Paul has been energetic in the ring, stepping into the squared circle 11 times since his 2020 debut, mostly against former MMA stars like Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz.
Despite an astonishing thirty-year age difference, Tyson downplays Paul’s chances, pointing out the enormous differences in boxing craft between them. He stated bluntly, “I’m just going in there with bad intentions and my intention is to hurt this youthful man. As soon as I catch him, he’ll run away like a thief. I don’t know how he’ll cope. make it an stimulating fight by running all day.”
The former heavyweight champion is confused by the prospect of Paul avoiding committing to the fight, and even mocks his rival’s strategy, saying, “It should have been that youthful guy, he should have come through me. I’m senior, but he’s going to run all night long. He should try (we’ll meet him in the middle of the ring). He’s a younger man, he should be able to take punches from an senior and withering man like me.
Tyson’s willingness to harm Paul is emphasized by the intense preparation for the fight, which gives the youngsters experience in an unprecedented boxing spectacle.
“I can’t wait for this evening. I just don’t think he takes it seriously. I think he believes he’s a youthful guy and I’m a quasi-retired kid. They may think I’m simple to touch.[The fans] they won’t believe the spectacle that will unfold, it will be something they have never experienced before in terms of pain. “”.
Paul was criticized for agreeing to fight Tyson, 58, but told TMZ: “He is his own boss. He wants to fight me. He told my team, “I don’t give a damn. For example: tell Jake I’m still going to rip his head off and knock him out, and that just bought him more time. Tell Mike Tyson not to fight, chill out and see how it goes.”
Paul is expected to enter the fight next month as the bookmakers’ favorite, which will consist of eight two-minute rounds. Players will wear 14-ounce gloves, as opposed to the 8-ounce or 10-ounce gloves typically worn by professional players. Before Tyson receives permission to enter the ring, he will also have to undergo a medical examination.

Jake Paul accused of ‘faking knockout’ ahead of Mike Tyson boxing fight
Published

November 2, 2024Mike Tyson accused Jake Paul of faking a knockout during a sparring session ahead of their decisive November 15 fight. Legendary boxer Tyson will face YouTuber Paul in a fight in Texas later this month.
With less than two weeks until the fight, the war of words between the two fighters is heating up. In the video posted on his Instagram, Paul knocks down his sparring partner and then shouts at the camera: “Don’t charge at me, Tyson!”
Some fans have noticed that the sparring partner seems to hit the canvas very easily. Tyson has now fueled the theory that it was a false knockdown.
Speaking on Pound4 Pound Tyson said on his YouTube channel: “Did you see his sparring session where the guy was pretending to get knocked out? It was handsome.”
Hosts Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo had not seen the clip and asked Tyson to elaborate: He continued: “He was a chubby guy. He fell. He dived!”
Meanwhile, YouTuber KSI described Paul as “terrible” during training. KSI also took up boxing and fought Paul’s brother Logan twice. KSI has been heavily linked to the fight with Jake.
“I saw clips of his training videos. God, he just looks terrible, man. He just looks so sluggish, so sluggish. This is not his natural weight. It is what it is.”
However, the internet personality believes that Paul will “destroy” Tyson due to their age difference.
“When he [Tyson] will be covered up, and then people on Twitter will ask, “How could we let this happen?” Oh no, it’s so bad! I’ll be the one to say, “Well, fuck, I told you so.”
Many fans wondered why Iron Mike, the undisputed heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990, decided to fight again. In an interview with talkSPORT, he pointed out that few boxers at the age of 58 could boast of selling out stadiums.
He said: “[I’m] 58. I’m going to fight in the biggest arena of all time and the tickets will be sold out. Who else can do this?”
Asked about selling out the 80,000-capacity AT&T Arena, Tyson added: “It makes me feel like I have to perform. They give me all this inspiration and let me know, ‘boy, you gotta perform’ tonight.” It’s time to perform.

Mike Tyson makes earnest accusations against Jake Paul after watching sparring footage
Published

November 2, 2024Paul, 27, raised eyebrows last month when he shared footage on social media of him knocking out a sparring partner with a right hook. He taunted the camera with a shout: “Don’t charge at me, Tyson.”
The clip left fans skeptical, as evidenced by comments like, “That guy didn’t move his head, that’s one of Mike’s best features,” and more blunt assessments like, “Substantial Mike will take his brother’s head off his shoulders.” Some viewers on social media even suggested the sparring partner was a “paid actor,” dismissing Paul’s chances with comments like: “Jake doesn’t hit anyone.”
Tyson, who cannot be outdone, released his own sparring video a few weeks ago in which he knocked out his partner with a powerful left hook. At the end of the session, his coach Rafael Cordeiro could be heard saying: “It was good for today.”
Furious Tyson replied: “Are you sure? Are you fucking sure?!” The boxing icon then exclaimed, “I’ve got a lot in me,” and sent a acute message to “The Problem Child,” declaring, “I’m just getting started.”
Both contenders eagerly enter the ring and definitively end the rivalry. They were previously scheduled to face each other earlier this year, but Tyson had to withdraw due to a recurrence of his peptic ulcer.
Although Paul has been actively sharing his training progress online, Tyson remains skeptical, especially when it comes to the video in which Paul appears to knock out his sparring partner. Discussing material with Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo, Tyson noted: “Did you see his sparring session where the guy was pretending to get knocked out? It was lovely.”
At first, Usman and Cejudo were confused as to what Tyson meant until he explained: “He was a chubby guy. He fell. He dived”!
Despite concerns about his health ahead of next month’s upcoming fight, Tyson’s recent sparring footage has fans confident about his fitness. Paul countered the hype surrounding the heavyweight champion’s readiness by responding to viral sparring videos.
Jake Paul has commented on his upcoming fight, stating in an interview with: TODAY: “Tyson throws people into sparring sessions. His trainers say he is in the best shape and strongest he has ever been.
“I know that November 15 will be a war. But I plan on just sending him a message and showing the world what I’m capable of, coming alive in this moment and knocking out one of the best to ever do it.”
Paul faced criticism for taking the fight, but responded to the negative comments. “A lot of people wonder, ‘Jake, why are you doing this? Even if you beat him, they will say he is senior.” But for me, Mike Tyson wanted to fight me,” he said.
“It’s an honor. He is one of the most famed boxers in the world who has ever done this. Performing there with someone of his character is an honor and a dream come true. It’s going to be a show on Netflix.”

November 1, 2024Mike Tyson defeated Peter McNeeley in his comeback fight
Mike Tyson’s intimidating personality may still be getting ahead of him, but a former opponent has shared a heartwarming story about the boxing legend’s compassionate side.
Peter “The Hurricane” McNeeley, who faced Tyson in the ring in 1995, spoke warmly about how the former heavyweight champion provided emotional support during a particularly tough time in his life.
In an exclusive interview ahead of his upcoming fight with Jake Paul, McNeeley revealed Reflect American sports how Tyson was a pillar of strength following the sudden death of his wife Annarta in June 2023. Despite his turbulent past in the ring, Tyson expressed his condolences and support.

McNeeley’s wife, Annarita, tragically passed away at her home on June 14, 2023 at the age of 53, leaving her 56-year-old husband in a tough situation. But Tyson’s thoughtful gesture helped lift his spirits during shadowy times.
“It was tough when my wife died. It’s still tough to talk about it,” McNeeley admitted. “And she didn’t die for two days and Mike Tyson called me. Now, because he’s a West Coast guy now, when he called me, I didn’t understand because my phone was turned off and I was already in bed and sleeping on the East Coast.”
“But the next day I saw missed calls and didn’t recognize the number he was calling from. Then he texted me to send his condolences and I called him right away. He answered and said, “What’s going on, brother… I’m so sorry for your loss.
Choking up as he said this, McNeeley remarked, “Such class and respect from a two-time champion. It just meant a lot to me.”
McNeeley said he preferred to keep details of their candid conversation private out of respect for their bond, but revealed: “People don’t know this side of Mike Tyson. He does a lot of work for good causes. he looks after his friends. He is very steadfast.”
Peter McNeeley unfortunately lost his wife
He continued to talk about their relationship, saying, “It’s nice to have a friend like Mike. The fact that we don’t talk to each other for a few years doesn’t make any difference. He became like a brother. Mike is not a bad person. Grief is a process. Mike understands what it’s like to grieve the loss of his 8-year-old daughter. This puts the man to a mental test.
Discussing how he is coping with the loss of his wife today, McNeeley said: “I don’t want to say anything about her death other than I loved her very much. And you know what life is like. And she would probably think so. At least that’s what I like to think.”
The famed clash in which Tyson mercilessly defeated McNeeley in less than ninety seconds during his eagerly anticipated comeback fight in 1995 was recalled – it marked Tyson’s return to the professional ring after a three-year prison sentence for rape. McNeeley was completely stunned by Tyson’s agility and precision, resulting in a match that drew the largest pay-per-view television audience at the time.
McNeeley’s brush with fame didn’t end in the ring; his likable personality led to television commercials and speaking engagements. However, he always regretted not thanking Tyson in person until a twist of fate in September 2008 provided him with a chance meeting through his former limo driver, Dave.
Recounting the story, McNeeley said, “This time Mike was in Boston and by accident he was being driven by my ancient limo driver, Dave. Dave called me and said, “Pete, you’ll never believe this, I’m managing Mike Tyson? Should I say something about you? McNeeley, wanting a rematch, told Dave: “I said, ‘Hell yes… you can assist me get a rematch.’ I just got the news Mike was thinking of! was fun and said Mike would like to have dinner sometime if you have time. Some time passed and Dave came and said Mike wanted to take me out to dinner.
Time passed and then Dave informed McNeeley that Tyson wanted to have dinner with him. “I came home and Tyson came on my voicemail on my landline asking if I wanted to call. “The next thing I knew, the limo driver was banging on my door saying Tyson was in his hotel room in Cambridge with his second wife and their kids.”
The meeting was cordial, McNeeley recalled: “Mike shook my hand, hugged me, and talked to me for about 15 minutes. I’m still grateful that I got to spend that time with him because there was so much more going on in his life than meeting Me.”
He appreciated the personal interaction away from the media frenzy that usually surrounds Tyson, noting, “It was nice to be with him without TV, cameras, a press conference or fights. These things come out of proportion around these fights and Mike. People are just people. Everyone puts on their pants the same way.
“He seemed to me a nice, down-to-earth and humble guy. It was something special. I didn’t hear the news until nine years later, in 2007, when someone gave me my landline number, called me, and we ended the conversation. talk for several months.”
Tyson called McNeeley to comfort him
“We called each other and every time he kept asking, ‘Peter, how is your father?’ This is respect. He knew that my dad fought Floyd Patterson and Jose Torres who were two of his mentors Cus D” Amato fighters and of course Mike knows his boxing history.
“It’s nice to talk to him on a normal level. I’m not one of his best friends, but it was great to have the connection we had. Mike talked about me publicly and always said nice things about me. he’s a great guy – I love him, I’m glad he’s doing so well, and when Mike does well and our names are linked from there.”
McNeeley predicts Tyson will triumph in his last fight. The fight with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul will be broadcast on Netflix from ATandT Stadium in Arlington, Texas on November 15.
