Katie Taylor threw down the gauntlet and took the belt after Amanda Serrano’s victory
Published
2 hours agoon
WBC interim lightweight champion Caroline Dubois gave Katie Taylor an ultimatum: defend her WBC lightweight title or lure him away.
Despite Taylor’s recent victory in retaining her welterweight title against Amanda Serrano, she has not competed in the 135-pound weight class in over two years, where she also held the WBA, WBC and The Ring titles. The World Boxing Council is currently considering whether Taylor should be stripped of her belt due to her absence from the lightweight division.
It’s a arduous time ahead for Taylor, who faces the arduous aftermath of her triumph over Serrano in the co-main event of Jake Paul’s fight against Mike Tyson in Arlington, Texas. Dubois gained IBO interim champion status in August after defeating Maira Moneo, but is now calling for an explanation.
“I am obligatory for the belt. “Katie has to either come back and fight me or give up the belt,” Dubois told Sky Sports. “She hasn’t fought for the belt for over a year.
“It seems obvious that he won’t go back to 135 pounds. So it just piles up the belt, stopping me in my tracks, my future and my career. For what purpose? She has done so well in her career.
She fought Amanda Serrano. I’m sure she will want a trilogy, it will be a gigantic money fight. But it will be a 140-pound fight. So there’s no point in even sticking to the lane. Just let it go and I’ll get on with my career and she can pursue hers.”
Taylor rose in the rankings after a victory over Karen Carabajal in October 2022. She then improved her record to an undefeated 22-0.
Her initial welterweight title fight against Chantelle Cameron in May 2023 was unsuccessful. However, six months later in Dublin’s 3Arena she triumphed in the rematch.
The third meeting with Cameron appears to be a report on Taylor’s next move, Irish starand a potential third fight with Serrano is also on the horizon, even though Taylor has won their previous two meetings. It is still unknown whether he will drop down to lightweight again to meet the challenge from Dubois.

Farce Misfits 19 as Dawood Savage falls to the floor and stops fighting with Deji
Published
14 hours agoon
November 28, 2024The Misfits 19 fight between Dawood Savage and Deji ended in farce on Thursday night when the defeated boxer fell to the floor in his final action of the night seconds after being punched. The fight ended early in the third round with Deji claiming the victory.
Savage and Deji made their way to the ring on the undercard ahead of the highly anticipated clash between AnEsonGib and Slim Albaher.
Nine separate fights were scheduled for the card, but the fight between HSTikkyTokky and Masai Warrior was canceled at the last minute.
Deji had won only two of six fights in his career before his bout with Savage, but he was the bulky favorite because his opponent had lost all six of his previous fights.
The Briton, who is KSI’s brother, entered Simon Says alongside Pharoahe Monch and seemed focused on the task at hand.
A minute into the first round, he hurt his opponent with a huge left hook and held his position in the center of the ring while Savage danced around the outside.
Deji seemed reluctant to throw punches in the second round, which left those around him furious as they told him, “What are you doing? Go to the fucking war, man.
Early in the third round, Savage hit the canvas after grabbing his chin, but the referee allowed him to continue. Deji was then forced to dodge a series of punches as his rival tried to retaliate.
Deji once again caught Savage in the temple area as he was illustrating his willingness to throw punches. And strangely enough, Savage waited a few moments before falling to the ground.
After the fight, Deji insisted that he noticed in the first round that he was a “level” better than Savage, adding: “I thought that performance was really bad.”
He later took it up X (formerly Twitter) and wrote: “Disappointed with this performance, but we’re going again! Greetings to everyone who supported me.”
KSI entered the ring after the contest and teased a fight in 2025, before turning around and declaring that he was going to do “what’s best for the business” by being “the best CEO there is.”
After Deji’s match, a fight broke out between King Kenny and Salt Papi. Salt Papi won in the third round after landing a monster right hook that knocked King Kenny to the floor.

November 28, 2024Slim Albaher and AnEsonGib are set to finally settle their rivalry on Thursday night when they headline a packed Misfits “Supercard” in Qatar. Slim comes into the fight with Gib after a crushing knockout victory over Salt Papi last year.
Since debuting in 2019, the American star has taken the Misfits scene by storm, remaining undefeated in the ring, with five of his seven wins coming by knockout. On the other hand, Gib “Sevenfigure Gibber” secured an emphatic victory over Jarvis in his final fight in 2023.
Despite having seven fights under his belt, the social media sensation has suffered a setback in the ring, losing to Jake Paul four years ago. As fight night approaches, here’s everything you need to know about the fight card surrounding Tyson’s return to the ring…
Slim Albaher vs. AnEsonGib – 19:45
After several years of preparation, both influential boxing stars will finally settle their scores in the ring. It’s protected to say that both men will strive to provide fans with a spectacular performance.

Salt Papi vs. King Kenny – 7:00 p.m
The upcoming gala in Qatar will be an stimulating event, packed with massive names from the YouTube scene. Fans are eagerly awaiting the fight between Salt Papi and King Kenny.
Boxing enthusiasts are in for a real treat, although the fight will not live up to expectations. Papi’s only in-ring losses came against Slim and Anthony Taylor, which suggests he could give Kenny a run for his money.
HS TikkyTokky vs. Maasai Warrior – 18:30
Tonight will also see the long-awaited return of HS TikkyTokky, who will enter the ring for the second time. After making an impressive debut earlier this summer, he will be looking to prove his skills once again.
His next opponent, Moziah Pinder, is expected to be a tough challenge and has the potential to deliver a dramatic finish in Qatar.
Deji Olatunji vs. Dawood Savage – 6:00 p.m
Fans will undoubtedly be watching early as Deji Olatunji – brother of social media star KSI – returns to the ring. The boxing community has been waiting for Deji to fight again for some time, as it has been over a year and a half since his last fight, in which he defeated Swarmz.
Deji always brings excitement to his fights and will certainly be eager to secure a knockout at the Lusail Sports Arena.
Jarvis Khattri vs. Ben Williams – 5:30 p.m
Jarvis Khattri will defend his Misfits welterweight title against rising star Ben Williams on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The undefeated Irishman, who has brought a breath of fresh air to the world of influential boxing, has three knockout victories to his name and could potentially dethrone Jarvis, whose only defeat in his career was against Gib.
NichLmao vs. Warren Spencer – 5 p.m
At 5:00 p.m. NichLmao will face a recent opponent, Warren Spencer. Originally scheduled to fight Jay Swingler in a long-awaited rematch, Spencer stepped up after Swingler had to withdraw due to health reasons.
Spencer comes into the match on the back of a knockout loss to Ben Williams earlier this year, while NichLmao drew against Luis Alcaraz Pineda in his last match.
Lil CraCra vs. YuddyGangTV – 4:30 p.m
The Doha fight card, which takes place on Thursday at 4:30 p.m., will feature an epic trilogy fight between Lil CraCra and YuddyGangTV. Their previous fight in March ended in a no contest, but YuddyGangTV prevailed in their second fight two months later.
He will strive for a decisive victory that will end the rivalry once and for all.
Chase DeMoor vs. Kelz – 4:00 p.m
A fierce clash is expected as there was a heated exchange between the two during Monday’s press conference, which resulted in all stage security having to separate them after exchanging insults. Chase DeMoor, despite a hard start to his career, has recently gained momentum and enters the fight after a brutal victory over Terrick Maven.
Luis Alcaraz Pineda vs. Swarmz – 15:30
Misfits fight night wouldn’t be complete without Luis Alcaraz Pineda on the card. Despite losing to KSI in his debut two years ago, Pineda has been on a warm streak since then, defeating BDave, Ice Poseidon, and most recently Ed Matthews.
Swarmz, on the other hand, has already suffered losses to KSI, Deji, and Ed Matthews, with his only victory coming last year against Ryan Taylor.
Amir Anderson vs Neeraj Saini fight – 15:00
Fans are eagerly awaiting Amir Anderson’s return to the ring. After a devastating knockout victory in his debut earlier this year, Anderson will be looking to build momentum.
His opponent, Neeraj Saini, will make his debut on Thursday evening and is undoubtedly looking to create an upset on the historic card.

Clear Edwards vs. Galal Yafai – Massive Fight Preview and Predictions
Published

November 28, 2024Clear Edwards and Galal Yafai will settle their differences next Saturday at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham, with the winner’s prize being the interim WBC flyweight title.
DAZN is broadcasting Edwards vs Yafai live on TV worldwide Eddie HearnMatchroom promotes the bill.
Edwards (21-1, 4 KO) enters this fight as a boxer, not a puncher.
“Showtime” won the IBF world title in April 2021 after a masterclass against Moruti Mthalane and defended four times before losing to the talented fighter Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez in December 2023 in an attempt to unify as the WBO champion dominated before forcing him to retire after nine rounds.
The 28-year-old was last suspended in June, defeating Adrian Curiel by wide technical decision, and the fight was interrupted due to an injury suffered by the Croydon resident.
2020 Olympic gold medalist Yafai (8-0, 6 KO) was on his way to winning world titles, with his professional debut coming in a 10-round stoppage of Carlos Bautista to win the WBC International title.
Since then, the 31-year-old southpaw has defended the belt five times, and Yafai added to his momentum with two wins this year, stopping Agustin Gauto in the eighth round in April and then warming up for Edwards with a third-round stoppage of Sergio Oroczo Oliva in September.
Conway argues with Kelly
The vacant Commonwealth middleweight title is up for grabs on the undercard, and Kieron Conway (21-3-1, 6 KO), who is on a three-fight win streak since a decision loss to Austin “Ammo” Williams in 2022, should have too much for former Midlands Area champion Ryan Kelly (19-4-1, 8 KO).
Vuong comes face to face with Gwynne
Cameron Vuong (6-0, 3 KO) is gaining a step up in class and will likely be tested by former British, Commonwealth and European champion Gavin Gwynne (17-3-1, 5 KO).
Walker meets Ritson
At the crossroads of welterweight fights, Conah Walker will face Lewis Ritson (23-4, 13 KO) over 10 rounds.
Walker (13-3-1, 5 KO) defeated Cyrus Pattinson last year, and last time he defeated Lewis Crocker, losing narrowly.
Ritson’s best days came as a lightweight and he lost three of his last five fights, last defeating Paddy Donovan in the ninth round.
Smith is back
Callum Smith is fighting for the first time since losing to Artur Beterbiev when he faced Carlos Galvan over eight rounds.
Smith was stopped in seven rounds by Beterbiev in January and should return to winning ways against Galvan, who suffered stoppage losses to the likes of Caleb Plant and current unified middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhanuly.
Undercard remaining
The last 10-round fight will take place in the lightweight heavyweight division, and Troy Jones (11-0, 6 KO) will be able to defend his English champion title, defeating Michael Stephenson (9-2) on points.
In the second scheduled eighth round, Hamza Uddin (2-0, 1 KO) should defeat Benn Norman (7-5) in a flyweight fight.
In six rounds, Aaron Bowen (3-0, 2 KO) can stop James Todd (4-3-2) in the middleweight division, and in the super featherweight division Ibraheem Sulaimaan (5-0, 3 KO) should defeat Marvin Solano (24). -20, 8 KOs).
Super middleweight debutant Taylor Bevan should start with an early victory over Greg O’Neill (7-8-1, 1 KO).
