Jaron Ennis: Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford is a 50-50 fight
Published
6 hours agoon
Jaron Ennis described the Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford fight as a “50-50” fight.
According to ESPN’s Mike Coppinger, Ennis is looking to face Crawford, who is expected to move up two divisions to face Canelo in September in Las Vegas, and a deal is close to being finalized.
“Boots” believes his rival can handle it due to the weight jump, but admits he doesn’t put the Omaha fighter in the main underdog role like bookmakers do.
“It’s a 50-50 fight,” said the 27-year-old YSM sports media.
“I think this is a fight that everyone wants to see.
“It’s a good fight.
“It’s going to be a little bit hard because he’s going to have to gain an extra 14 pounds, so he might be a little slower or who knows, he might be faster.
“You have to gain more weight and gain more muscle by increasing the weight, so it’s a little bit more hard.
“But I don’t know, we’ll see on fight night what he looks like.”
Crawford moved up from welterweight, where he held the undisputed crown, and won the WBA super welterweight world title from Israil Madrimov in August.
Alvarez defended his unified super middleweight world titles following a unanimous decision victory over Edgar Berlanga in September, and Ennis advised Crawford to try to beat the Mexican superstar.
Asked how the 37-year-old might approach the fight, Ennis added: “Be shrewd, take your time,” he added.
“Pack and move.
“Don’t sit there and let him try to bomb you.”
IBF welterweight world champion Ennis is reportedly closing in on a unification fight with WBA champion Eimantas Stanionis on April 12 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, with the fight expected to be formally confirmed later this week.
The Philadelphia fighter defended his title after a wide points victory over Karen Chukhadzhian in November and opted not to change weight for the fight with Vergil Ortiz Jr. in order to pursue unification at 147 pounds.

Japanese sensation gave a spectacular show to defend the titles of the world champion IBF, WBC and WBO in a great rooster weight after a knockout in the fourth round. However, Inoue increased the intensity in the second round, hitting some immaculate right hands when he began to relax.
In the third round, the undisputed champion of SUPER SUPER ROOKIECH maintained dynamics thanks to several impressive combinations and arrows in the body. However, the fourth round meant the beginning of the end of Ye Joon, who tried to exchange blows with the champion, but paid dearly for it.
The Korean from the south became too sure of his approach and seemed to encourage his opponent to push forward, which he was ecstatic to agree. “The Monster” dealt a few edged blows, then knocked down Kim with a left-law combination. The player seemed unstable on the mat and ultimately he failed to overcome the counting, which led to the fact that the referee was interrupting the match. The victory has prolonged the flawless Inoue record to 29-0, while who he will dig after causing unnecessary pressure before he is knocked out.
The player was later seen in his corner, how he curved and looked very moved after he lost in the most crucial fight in his career. After an intensive fight, the Japanese sensation expressed her gratitude: “I am very ecstatic to see a lot of people in the arena. More than I expected after changing the opponent. Goodman himself was injured twice, and my recent opponent faced me 10 days before the fight, but I feel a lot of love from everyone, thank you very much and I appreciate it.
Then he thought: “In general, I think it was a pretty good match. I didn’t have enough time to study the information about my opponent, so I just spent some time to see what would come out of it. ” Bob Arum, the head of Top Rank and co -organizer Inoue, shared exhilarating plans to bring “The Monster” to the United States until 2025. “I just want to say that our master played another great performance here,” he praised.
“I notice that the great country of Japan has given [LA Dodgers star Shohei] Ohtani to Los Angeles. And at least for one fight, a great country Japan will give this wonderful Inoue city to Las Vegas for one fight this spring. Thank you all and I really appreciate it. “
Inoue, willingly accepting the proposal of Promoter Arum, confirmed: “Yes, in 2025 a trip to the overseas countries will come to fight. So in the spring of 2025 I will fly to Las Vegas to show you a great match. This fight originally took place on December 24, it is January 24, but I am very ecstatic that I can see all the people around the world who watch me live, and people coming to the arena. Thank you very much for watching my fight. I plan to fight this year in Las Vegas and Saudi Arabia, so please, applaud me and welcome me wherever I go.

Carl Froch sharply criticizes KSI after Wayne Bridge’s comments
Published

January 23, 2025KSI is the latest person to be caught up in one of former super middleweight world champion Carl Froch’s infamous verbal attacks.
Froch has had plenty to say about KSI’s nemesis Jake Paul in the past, but up until this point, the London-based YouTuber has mostly managed to avoid harsh criticism from “The Cobra.”
However, everything changed when the YouTuber-turned-boxer developed a very personal relationship with former Chelsea left-back Wayne Bridge when they faced off at the stadium Darren Till vs Anthony Taylor Misfits last weekend in Manchester.
When the pair entered the ring, “The Nightmare” immediately highlighted the scandal surrounding Bridge’s ex-girlfriend and former teammate John Terry, which the 44-year-old was clearly surprised by.
And talking about it YouTube channelFroch criticized KSI for these comments and stated that he would “hit him like hell” if he were in Bridge’s shoes.
“I saw KSI jump in the ring and face Wayne Bridge. He walked right into it, didn’t he?
“Because KSI, the little bugger, started with his mistress and all the John Terry antics of aged. When bringing up aged shit, bring up some fresh material if you want to challenge someone.
“Wayne Bridge really should have just punched him in his stupid chops. If you’re going to talk like an ab****, you’re going to get hit like an ab**** – that’s what I would do.
“But Wayne Bridge kind of let him do it. And now he has been taken out of the fight. So the whole thing was kind of pointless.”
As Froch mentioned, Bridge he withdrew from the fight earlier this weekciting concerns about backlash against his family as a result of KSI raising the John Terry incident.
It is unclear who the 31-year-old, JJ Olatunji, will fight next, although he has been linked to former UFC stars Nate Diaz and Luke Rockhold over the past 12 months.

Logan Paul defeats Conor McGregor in a perfect response to the UFC star’s threat
Published

January 23, 2025Logan Paul made a brilliant comeback for Conor McGregor after the Irish fighter threatened him and his younger brother Jake in Washington.
The Irishman was seen sitting behind the Paul brothers, next to their mother, Pam Stepnick, on their way to Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday. McGregor has been linked to fights with both siblings, as well as another YouTube boxer in KSI, but no deal has been agreed.
On Wednesday, Logan posted a video titled “Face to Face with Conor McGregor” on his official YouTube channel. The former two-weight UFC champion was recorded telling American stars: “This is the real deal, you know that, bro. We will do it. What can we do? 190, 195 pounds? [Jake] he was unwell. It made him unwell! “ These comments seemed to embarrass the couple, but the drama didn’t end there. Later in the video, McGregor says: “Listen, here’s the thing. I will cut off the heads of you two and KSI. “You are nothing to me. Do you understand that? Extra work.”
Known for his nonsense, the Irishman didn’t scare Logan, who is currently making waves in the WWE world, and reacted in a brutal manner. The 29-year-old fighter couldn’t assist but attack Conor McGregor, mocking his absence from the UFC. “You can’t even do your main job,” he chuckled. – How are you going to do the extra work?
Since breaking his leg in a fight with Dustin Poirier in 2021, McGregor has remained on the sidelines. Even though he was lined up to fight former Bellator champion Michael Chandler, another injury thwarted those plans. After almost four years since his last competitive match, there is speculation that McGregor is planning a return this year. He surprisingly expressed interest in a boxing match with Logan.
Sources said last month that “The Notorious” was in negotiations for the show. McGregor clarified on X – the platform formerly known as Twitter – debunking the Topuria fight rumors and confirming initial talks about an exhibition against Logan Paul in India, stating: “The Topuria fight rumors are false. I am in the process of making preliminary arrangements with the family. Ambani will face Logan Paul at a boxing gala in India. I then agreed to return to the octagon.
A potential blockbuster fight between Conor McGregor and “The Maverick” could earn the pair a staggering $250 million. However, UFC president Dana White denied rumors of McGregor’s return to boxing, emphatically stating, “Finally,” when asked about the 36-year-old’s return to the UFC in 2025. He added: “No, no [he won’t fight KSI or Logan Paul]. I hope Conor McGregor returns in the fall.”
