Matchroom CEO Barry Hearn has come pristine about his personal earnings, insisting his business ventures are driven by passion rather than personal enrichment.

Son Eddie, who is currently the chairman of Matchroom Sport, is called his father’s “project”, prompting Hearn to emphasize the importance of their close and personal relationship.

“We have a fantastic father-son relationship,” Hearn added. “We make fun of everyone. This doesn’t suit everyone. I remember Chris Eubank telling me, ‘Bazza, I don’t like the way Edward is talking to you.’ And I said, ‘Listen. friends. And he talks to me like a friend would talk to me. Tommy Fury says he’s willing to bet “everything” in his bank account that Daniel Dubois won’t fight Jake Paul – and described the world heavyweight champion as an “embarrassment”.
