Deontay Wilder gives Mike Tyson a chilling warning in return for Jake Paul’s concerns

Heavyweight star Deontay Wilder has publicly supported Mike Tyson in his victory over Jake Paul in a highly controversial future fight, but has expressed solemn concerns for Iron Mike’s health. The upcoming fight in which 27-year-old Paul will face 58-year-old Tyson – who has not fought professionally since 2004 – has caused shock throughout the world of combat sports.

Tyson and Paul are scheduled to fight on July 20, 2024, at AT&T Stadium in Texas, which has a capacity of 80,000. The fight will be recorded in both fighters’ professional records, as sanctioned by Texas authorities.

Despite extensive testing to ensure Tyson and Paul can compete safely, Wilder expressed concern about the boxing legend’s situation. I am talking with Sports betting reviewformer WBC heavyweight champion, said: “I think it’s wrong that the commission licensed Mike Tyson because he hasn’t been busy for 20 years, so they shouldn’t license him just because of who he is, because then the way people get hurt, God forbid he gets hurt.”

Meanwhile, the esteemed Lennox Lewis – Tyson’s former ring rival – also expressed health concerns. But this time for Paul. He stated to guardian: “If Jake Paul gets hit with one of these punches, he’ll definitely feel it.

“I know Jake Paul doesn’t want to get hit. Tyson comes forward and knows how to cut off the ring. It may be a matter of time because how good is Jake Paul’s defense?

“I saw Mike a few weeks ago and he looked good. He went shirtless and showed off his body to get ready. I can’t wait for it because you have to look at these guys as artists. The audience loves them and wants to see them in action.

British boxing icon Carl Froch also supported Tyson ahead of his highly anticipated fight with Paul, no doubt dismissing the former YouTuber’s fighting skills. The former super middleweight champion didn’t mince his words in his interview with Lord Ping.

He said, “I’m not worried about Mike Tyson, Jake Paul can’t fight,” and went on to disparage Paul’s record by saying, “None of his knockouts are legal. His knockouts came against opponents who didn’t know what they were. This opinion was shared by the newly crowned undisputed heavyweight king, Oleksandr Usyk, who recently defeated Tyson Fury to unify the heavyweight titles. In a word association game during the advertisement for his fight with Fury, Usyk’s response to Jake Paul’s name was terse and dismissive: “Stop boxing.”

Tommy Fury rips into Daniel Dubois and shells out huge cash after DM leak

Published

on

Tommy Fury says he’s willing to bet “everything” in his bank account that Daniel Dubois won’t fight Jake Paul – and described the world heavyweight champion as an “embarrassment”.

Last week, Paul easily defeated heavyweight legend Mike Tyson on points, although the fight drew fury from boxing purists due to the pair’s 31-year age difference. Still, the fight was streamed on Netflix by 65 million people around the world, including IBF heavyweight champion Dubois. Now it appears that the British boxer, who won the title by brutally knocking out Anthony Joshua in September, also seems interested in fighting Paul, as revealed by his direct message to the YouTube star.

“Problem Child” on social media posted a screenshot of an alleged message from Dubois that read: “Hi Jake, nice business on the weekend, but how would you feel fighting the legitimate heavyweight champion of the world. Daniel Dubois is calling, come out and let’s deal with it.”

However, the American responded with “Triple D” with a photo of his ticket in line and the message: “Get in line.”

Fury, who handed Paul the first defeat of his career in February 2023, has now commented on the revealed news. The 25-year-old brother of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury admitted he had no idea what Dubois was doing by calling out Paul and even called the world champion’s behavior “embarrassing.”

Former Love Island winner Fury said: “You have to be realistic. Paul is not fighting Dubois or anyone like that. You are calling him the rightful world champions of this sport [Paul] outside. It made sense to me because I was at the beginning of my career and I would be fighting journeymen anyway.

“If I was the undisputed unified champion, I wouldn’t care about Jake Paul. I think it’s a bit embarrassing [Dubois and Artur Beterbiev’s] Hi. I don’t know what Dubois is doing. The fact that he even thinks I’ll let it go because he might bite.

Paul, who reportedly earned £31.6 million ($40 million) for his victory over Tyson, revealed he would be in talks with promoters Nakisa Bidarian and Frank Warren about fighting Dubois. Dubois previously defeated Joe Cusumano in a bill that included Paul’s 2021 fight against Tyron Woodley, and later earned £10 million for his shock victory over AJ.

Paul wrote on Twitter: “Man [Dubois] I’ve been boxing for 12 years, I’ve had over 100 fights between amateurs and professionals, and I’ve fought on my card, hahaha. But fuck it… I’ll ask Nakisa to talk to Frank Warren and put you in line for the throne.

Fury, however, believes it is all for show unless Dubois receives the large money, adding: “I guarantee I will put everything I have in my account on it now. You will never see Jake Paul and Daniel Dubois in the ring together.” unless they sign a contract and offer Dubois £200 million to go into the ring and not even look at it.

Speaking about the controversial fight with Tyson, he added: “From a business and commercial point of view, it is unbelievable. If someone is making a trillion pounds I’ll say ‘well done mate’. Both men were paid. Fantastic. But for the fans and everyone who thought this was going to be a fight, it’s a disappointment.

The rules for the Tommy Fury vs. Darren Till fight appear and mock Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul

Published

on

Tommy Fury and Darren Till’s fight has been confirmed as a heavyweight bout, and both will wear 10oz gloves during eight three-minute rounds – in line with conventional boxing rules and regulations.

That’s a far cry from the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight, which was ruled a professional fight by the Texas Athletic Commission under bizarre circumstances.

In last Friday’s fight, the two fought despite a 31-year age difference – doing so wearing 14-ounce gloves and shooting eight two-minute rounds. In almost all men’s professional fights, boxers must fight in three-minute rounds.

Paul’s fight with Tyson continues to be heavily criticized as he admits he didn’t want to knock out his legendary opponent, believing he posed little threat as the fight progressed. He later admitted that Fury punches harder than Tyson.

Meanwhile, Fury will look to maintain his undefeated record following victories over KSI and Paul over the past 18 months as he returns to the ring against former UFC star Till.

The younger brother of Tyson Fury, the 25-year-old had aspirations to become world boxing champion and follow in the footsteps of the legendary heavyweight fighter.

However, over the past two years, he has moved away from his conventional route of fighting professional boxers, instead taking on influencers and social media stars – and now he’s doing it again, facing Till in the former UFC’s first boxing fight.

On Tuesday, they came face to face for the first time, and tempers flared between them, with Tommy’s father, John, getting involved – standing up and throwing a drink at Till.

Till threatened to turn the boxing fight into a mixed martial arts event, telling Fury: “I didn’t see him that much, I know he fought some pros, but I didn’t see him that much. I’m just going to destroy him, do an absolute trick with him, knock him down and destroy him. And he knows it.

“No one here is a threat to me. I’m an MMA fighter, so if I have to kick or elbow you in the face, I will and no one will do anything about it. End of the day if I can.” If I don’t punch you I’ll just kick you in the face, how about I kick you right in the face, you won’t know what hit you, if I fight and I do that I lose, I’ll kick him in the face.”

Jake Paul has been given a shocking chance to win the world heavyweight title after Daniel Dubois became the next gigantic name to challenge him following his victory over Mike Tyson.

IBF heavyweight title, Dubois joined the undisputed featherlight heavyweight champion, Artur Beterbiew giving Paul a straight shot at a maiden world title.

In an Instagram DM that “The Problem Child” leaked to his 4.7 million followers on X, Dubois said: “Hi Jake.

“Good deal on the weekend, but how would you feel fighting for the legitimate heavyweight championship of the world?

“This is Daniel Dubois calling you.

“Let’s get on with it.”

The two know each other, and Dubois fought on the undercard of Paul’s first win over Tyron Woodley already in August 2021

The 27-year-old who did it heavyweight debuton Friday at AT&T Stadium, easily defeating former undisputed heavyweight champion Tyson (58), accepted the Londoner’s offer, while apparently rejecting Beterbiev’s call.

“The man has been boxing for 12 years, he has fought over 100 fights between amateurs and professionals and he fought on my card… hahaha,” he wrote in X.

“But fuck it… I’m going to do it [my manager] Do it better [Bidarian] talk to Frank Warren [Dubois’ promoter, Frank Warren] and I’ll put you in line for the throne.

“Unlike Arthur, you have at least a few thousand fans.”

Paul is not included in any of the four main governing bodies and it seems unlikely that the typically strict IBF will approve a fight between the duo.

The Ohio player ran his professional record to 11 wins and just one loss, while Tyson suffered his first career loss by decision in his first professional appearance in nearly 20 years.

However, Dubois is yet to choose an opponent to next defend his crown after talks with Anthony Joshua about a rematch ended in failure.

“Dynamite” made his first title defense following a ruthless fifth-round stoppage over “AJ” in September at Wembley Stadium and has been linked to both Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang.
