Shields and Perkins are trying to upset the unquestioned heavyweight title – World Boxing Association

Published

on

Claressa Shields and Danielle Perkins are ready for history this Sunday, when they enter the ring at the Dort Financial Center in Flint, Michigan to fight for the unquestioned heavyweight championship.

Shields will face Perkins in the main event of the evening, which promises to be historical, because it can crown the first unquestioned master in this weight class.

For Claress, this is an opportunity to cut her name even more deeply in the annals of the boxing history. Victory would make her an undisputed master in the third other weight division – a feat that would strengthen her heritage as one of the greatest sports.

In her last fight, Shields unanimously ensured victory in Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse on July 24. Now he returns to the ring to face an undefeated pretender, driven by a relentless pursuit of greatness.

On the other hand, Danielle Perkins enters this fight with everything to gain and not lose much. Brooklyn from Brooklyn has been undefeated in five fights since her professional debut in 2020 and now she is in the biggest fight in her career – winning here can catapult her to a completely up-to-date level.

Shields offers an impressive record of 15 wins, 3 by knockout, while Perkins enters the ring with 5 wins, of which 2 comes from the break.
