Conor McGregor’s unfiltered view of the controversial Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight

Published

on

Conor McGregor, former two-division UFC champion, delivered a stark and unapologetic verdict when asked about the upcoming fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.

Legendary former world heavyweight champion Tyson makes a sensational return to the ring on November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Texas, potentially in front of a staggering crowd of 80,000 to face YouTube sensation Paul. The pair were initially scheduled to fight in July, but Tyson had to withdraw due to a recurrence of ulcers during the flight.

Since the fight was rescheduled, opinions have spread rapidly, with many criticizing the decision to continue the fight given the significant age difference between Tyson and Paul. Further concerns were raised after Tyson admitted he had difficulty walking after training sessions.

Tyson, who has not fought professionally since losing to Kevin McBride in 2005, entered the ring four years ago for an exhibition match with Roy Jones Jr., but skeptics suggest that “ring rust” could be a deciding factor in his performance against Paweł. Meanwhile, “The Problem Child” Paul enters the fray following his victory over Mike Perry last July.

McGregor, known for his outspoken opinions, made his feelings about the fight clear during a live broadcast with Duelbits, an online sports betting company. The Irish fighter expressed his disinterest in unequivocal terms, stating that he had no “————” about the fight, and with characteristic bluntness dismissed the much-talked-about heavyweight clash.

“Mike Tyson, these are your shares. I don’t give ——–,” he said.

“They wear 14-ounce gloves and rounds last two minutes. Who gives ——–?” The fight will take place at AT&T Stadium, the home stadium of the Dallas Cowboys, which seats more than 80,000 fans. Despite the stunning venue, McGregor mocked the event, saying: “I hope Mike shakes that little f**k up, no one is making a—- about him. What’s it like even at ——– Dallas Stadium? .

McGregor also commented on Tyson’s recent health issues during the live broadcast, noting: “You had a slight health scare, I don’t know what happened to you on the plane, but you look great now, dude, you look great now for real, so give it a rest.” go, you love watching it.”

The Irish fighter hasn’t stepped into the Octagon since his 2021 loss to Dustin Poirier. He was scheduled to return at UFC 303 against Michael Chandler, but an injury forced him to withdraw.

McGregor is keen to resolve his rivalry with Chandler, although UFC president Dana White has yet to confirm his next fight. McGregor expressed his preference for his rematch: “I’d like it to be Chandler,” he said before Anthony Joshua’s defeat to Daniel Dubois in September. “I would like this to be resolved. I wish him all the best against Oliveira, but we’ll see how it goes.”

Dana White has consistently expressed his expectation that the 36-year-old will return next year. Asked if McGregor would compete again, White replied: “Yes. In 2024 I wasn’t 100 percent ready, but in 2025 I am. I just am. I know more than you. “I’m 100 percent sure McGregor will fight next year.”

The UFC legend reiterates that he could beat Jake Paul with one eye

Published

Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping confidently stated that he would easily defeat YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul. Paul, known as “The Problem Child”, is currently preparing for his upcoming heavyweight clash with former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world Mike Tyson.

Since making his professional boxing debut four years ago, Paul has become known for challenging UFC legends. He can boast of victories in the ring over Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley, Ben Askren and Nate Diaz. The 27-year-old enters the fight against Tyson following a knockout victory over former UFC welterweight contender Mike Perry.

Legendary UFC fighter Michael Bisping launched a scathing attack on Jake Paul during his fight Program on YouTubeunimpressed by the antics of the “Problem Child”. “You’re a joke,” Bisping exclaimed.

“You are a disgrace to the fighting world. You are a fraud. You’re a wannabe. You are phony. Take up the challenge, you pathetic human, pathetic individual.

“Fighting is about challenging yourself. That’s right, business. Killing him for that. But don’t give me crap about this fighter. This is what gets on my nerves. This man is almost 60 years ancient. He is almost retired. …Mike Tyson was a terrifying person. Facing this man in his prime, Jesus Christ, he was one of the scariest men we have ever seen in any combat sport. This man was a uncomplicated word killer.”

TNT Sports pundit Bisping again criticized the fight in an interview with: Mirror fight. “Jake Paul, listen, I have nothing personal against Jake Paul, but he just likes to attack the UFC, he likes to attack MMA fighters, and at the same time he picks guys who are not boxers,” he said.

“Go and box a boxer, go box a boxer, or go and fight someone your own age. That’s all you have to do and I will show you respect. He’s made a tremendous amount of money as a businessman, and I’m rooting for him for that, because at the end of the day, that’s what we’re all trying to do.”

Despite hanging up his gloves in 2017, “The Problem Child” continues to challenge the British MMA legend. Although Bisping has no intention of coming out of retirement, “The Count” issued a stern warning to the youthful American.

“But don’t tell me this is the worst man in the world, don’t give me this talk about the world champion. I don’t buy it for a second. “I mean, this man dared me not too long ago to send a contract to my manager,” he said. “I have been retired for a long time, I have one eye, I have had two knee surgeries. I would smoke Jake Paul in a heartbeat, but I won’t stoop to that.”

Tyson has not entered the professional ring since his fight with Kevin McBride in 2005, when he folded in defeat. Nevertheless, four years ago he returned for an exhibition fight against another icon, Roy Jones Jr.

Despite his mixed feelings about the upcoming heavyweight fight, Bisping supports the veteran. “I hope Mike Tyson does it, but the whole thing is a joke,” he said.

Mike Tyson comes out of professional retirement to face Jake Paul for eight two-minute heavyweight rounds on Friday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

This contest is based on both men’s professional records and took some time to prepare as Tyson (50-6, 44 KO) had to withdraw from the original July date due to ulcer exacerbation.

“Iron Mike” hadn’t fought as a pro since 2005 and was certainly in the twilight of his career, but at age 58 he had trained himself to take fighting “The Problem Child” seriously.

Tyson was, of course, the unified heavyweight champion, but he ended his career with three disastrous defeats in his last four fights, which were painful opening defeats to Lennox Lewis, Danny Williams and Kevin McBride.

Since then, he has had various exhibition fights, the last one in July 2020, when he won over Roy Jones Jr. over eight rounds.

Paul (10-1, 7 KO) has handpicked his opponents as a professional and has won four times since a split decision loss to Tommy Fury in February 2022, the latest being a sixth-round stoppage of Michael Perry, who had just one previous professional competition.

Taylor meets Serrano in a rematch

The main event here is the main support, with Katie Taylor defending her undisputed super lightweight crown against Amanda Serrano in a rematch of their April 2022 classic.

Taylor (23-1, 6 KO) entered that meeting having won the undisputed lightweight title by split decision, and since then Serrano (47-2-1, 31 KO) has returned to featherweight to pristine up the division.

The 36-year-old Puerto Rican was last sidelined in July, after stopping Stevie Morgan in the second round in Tampa.

Her Irish rival had just three more fights and the move up to super lightweight meant her first loss, a near majority defeat to Chantelle Cameron in Dublin last May.

The 38-year-old, however, will exact immediate revenge by taking her own majority verdict in the rematch last November.

Neighborhood fights Ramos

In the second of three world title fights, Mario Barrios will defend his WBC welterweight title against Abel Ramos.

Former WBA super lightweight champion Barrios (29-2, 18 KO) handed the title to Gervonta Davis in 2021, then lost to Keith Thurman before rebuilding.

Victories over Yordenis Ugas and Fabian Andres Maidana (both on the cards) earned him the WBC interim title, and in June he was promoted to full champion, making his first defense here.

Ramos (28-6-2, 22 KO) hardly deserves this shot as he has lost three of his last five fights, and he will enter this fight coming off a cautious fifth-round stoppage of Juan Ramon Guzman.

Green Faces of Watpool

The field includes vacant WBO super middleweight title Shadasia Green and Canadian Melinda Watpool.

Green (14-1, 11 KO) missed her first shot at a world title, defeating Franchon Crews-Dezurn for the WBC super middleweight world title last December, and Watpool (7-0, 2 KO ) wins maiden title chance at title.

Undercard remaining

The remaining ten fights take place in the lightweight category, where Lucas Bahdi (17-0, 15 KO) should defeat Armando Casamonica (14-0, 3 KO).

In the remaining eight rounds, Bruce Carrington (13-0, 8 KO) will fight his fourth fight of the year, and the featherweight fighter can stop Dana Coolwell (13-2, 8 KO), and the only six-round fight should feature middleweight debutant Whindersson. Nunes is ahead of Neeraj Goyat (18-4-2, 8 KO).

Viktor Gyokeres sends a five-word message to Ruben Amorim after his first day at Man Utd

Published

on

Sports striker Viktor Gyokeres expressed his gratitude to Ruben Amorim following his official move to Manchester United on Monday.

The Swede, who joined Sporting from Coventry City in July 2023 for a frigid £20 million under Amorim, has been nothing compact of a sensation for the Portuguese giants.

Having scored an astonishing 66 goals in just 68 appearances – including a recent spectacular hat-trick against Manchester City in the Champions League – Gyokeres has really made his mark, fueling speculation that Amorim could see a reunion with the goalkeeping machine at Premier League heavyweight Man Utd.

With Gyokeres previously on Arsenal’s radar during the summer transfer window, the Gunners have given up on the race, focusing their efforts on strengthening other positions in their squad.

While Amorim has rejected any immediate plans to poach talent from Sporting in the January window, experts have speculated that a summer attack could be on the cards.

For now, the Swedish talisman remains mute about his career, instead focusing on his contribution to Sporting Lisbon.

However, in a touching tribute on Instagram, Gyokeres did not hesitate to send his former mentor kind words as Amorim braves the challenges of the English Premier League.

Sharing three photos with Amorim, Gyokeres wrote with a heartfelt post: “Thank you for everything sir.”

Amorim hit the ground running on day one at Carrington, making significant changes to the coaching staff.

Ruud van Nistelrooy was among the most essential people who left the team, and Amorim acquired five fresh coaches – Carlos Fernandes, Adelio Candido, Paulo Barreira, Emanuel Ferro and Jorge Vital.
